We played a bunch of new tunes this week that've already become firm faves! Spotlit artists incl. DJ Plead, PT Music, Gush, Slim Levy and Sandy B & Sofa Elsewhere. We have plenty of locally grown goodness too with The Sour, Disasteradio, Jonathan Bree and Rachel Clarke just some of the class acts featured. This week's show celebrated Aotearoa's immense talent with 100% local artists. Whether they're living here or spreading their greatness in far away lands as individuals or as part of intl. collectives, it's always an absolute honour to shine a light on what makes our music such an integral aspect of our place in space. Featured artists included Stereo Minus One, Kaishandao, Current Bias, adam tukiri, Romi Wrights and Phoebe Rings. Of course bFM elevates our culture on the daily but celebrating a week of NZ music is always a nice touch for Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa. Top shelf new releases are coming at us thick and fast and we are absolutely here for it! Noda & Wolfers, societeetrange, Elijah Minnelli, Birds and Arp Frique & The Perpetual Singers were just a few of the fresh faves we aired. Don't worry though, there are plenty of bonafied bFM bangers sprinkled throughout as well!

We kicked off this week's show in 1995 and progressed from there. Alpha Stone, Laughing Eye, mess/age, DJ Sensitive, Olodum and Pandit Pam Pam were some of the intl. artists we celebrated and leading into Waitangi Day it would be remiss of me if I didn't shine a light on some of Aotearoa's finest recent releases like Bic Runga, MĀ & WYNONA and Dudley Benson. 

We stuffed the record bag full to the brim and played a bunch of b2b heaters on this week's show! Marengo, Coyote, Froid Dub, East Coast Love Affair, Toussaint and Grace Jones were just a few artists that matched the heat of the weather.

We're well into the new year and this week we played another bunch of new classics. Pêche Blanche Records & ROBERT L'AMOUR, Whodamanny, Datasal, CHUY CHUY and Distance entertained alongside some tasty bangers from the bFM playlist.
