This is preview (full ep released to subscribers 06/03/2026) — to access all our content & to join the NM Discord, subscribe: https://patreon.com/newmodels & https://newmodels.substack.com We talk a lot on this show about the “content” layer being compromised; how, given the physics of the feed, the creative act increasingly happens at the protocol level. While this is true, good books and films and records are, in fact, still being made. On this ep, friend of New Models Steven Warwick comes by on the occasion of his two new albums — "Live at Café Oto" (P-A-N) and, from his new band with Iván Brito, GUSH, "Splash of Milk" (Huntleys + Palmers) — to chat about making music, touring, and putting out albums in 2026. https://p-a-n.org/product/steven-warwi…iveatcafeoto-pan163/ https://huntleyspalmers.bandcamp.com/album/gush…of-milk-lp For more: https://instagram.com/ohmygushhhhh https://instagram.com/sweetie_darling_bebe https://stevenwarwick.info
We played a bunch of new tunes this week that've already become firm faves! Spotlit artists incl. DJ Plead, PT Music, Gush, Slim Levy and Sandy B & Sofa Elsewhere. We have plenty of locally grown goodness too with The Sour, Disasteradio, Jonathan Bree and Rachel Clarke just some of the class acts featured. Donzig, The Stooges and Make A Dance shook the cobwebs out to finish. Thanks to our pals The Claddagh Irish Pub and Garden Bar!

Friends,Sorry for being a bit late this morning. Today Michael and I take a deep dive into Trump's corruption — beginning with CBS's merger deal with Skydance that was conditioned, in part, on its canceling Stephen Colbert's show (which is why I'm wearing a T-shirt I got when I appeared on Colbert's “The Late Show”). We then examine whether Jeff Bezos — the fourth-richest person in the world — is a knave or a fool for going on network television claiming that the richest 1 percent of Americans pay 40 percent of all taxes (a Trump-like lie). And, as long as we're talking about rogues and corruption, we look at Trump's Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's $1.8 billion Trump slush fund and immunity from all future IRS audits — and its political fallout. All that and more on today's Coffee Klatch. So pull up a chair, grab a cuppa, and join in the discussion. (Heather will be back next Saturday.) This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit robertreich.substack.com/subscribe
This week on Rein It In... Chin hair emergencies and Dunn's brilliant Hinge and Bracket fix. Free bleeders. TikTok lies. The blue period advert era. Gush adverts. And Thom's ongoing campaign to wind up her mother-in-law. Things we're glad are over: dating, periods being taboo, and pretending blue liquid was ever fooling anyone. Things we apparently CAN'T escape: stirrup leggings, banana clips, and the return of every trend we hoped was dead. Strictly chat (give the new hosts a chance, you're not too cool to enjoy it). Our first ever troll story. Spoiler: he called us a name only Thom would repeat - but he can't spell, well And Dunn getting compared to Morten Harket from A-Ha. Which we're still processing. Plus the eternal truth: being a grown-up is sometimes just mince. Have a listen. Bring snacks.

Two Giants, One Vision: The Legacy of Rav Aharon Lichtenstein and Rav Yehuda Amital, by Rabbi Michael Rosensweig Our overseas talmidim were zocheh to Rabbi Rosensweig, '73, telling them about his time at Gush with stories of Rav Lichtenstein zt"l and Rav Amital zt"l. The shiur examines how Yeshivat Har Etzion benefited from two contrasting gedolim: Rav Amital's passionate decisiveness and transformative honesty, and Rav Lichtenstein's analytical depth and measured deliberation. Like Yaakov Avinu who synthesized Avraham and Yitzchak's qualities, these leaders offered diverse role models united by integrity and mutual respect. Their complementary approaches demonstrated that Torah leadership can embrace different styles while maintaining shared values and unwavering commitment to truth. Rabbi Rosensweig is a Rosh Yeshiva at RIETS of YU and the Rosh Kollel of the Beren Kollel Elyon.
