First—watch out, Ohio. The guys are sore losers, so they're taking it out on one of your websites. Later, what should law firms be doing during the honeymoon phase with new clients? ------ Sour grapes, for sure: Following Michigan's painful loss to Ohio State, Gyi and Conrad take revenge on Ohioans with a teardown of the Buckeye Law Group's pathetic website. (Eesh—harsh, guys.) From ineffectual “Buckeye” branding to affinity-building misses to a phone number that leads to SOMEONE ELSE'S LAW FIRM, it's not great. So, basically, Ohio drools, Michigan rules. Later, Gyi and Conrad want you to have a long and happy marriage with your clients, so you'd better not bungle the honeymoon. During this new, formative time, there are certain things you should and shouldn't do! The guys talk about building trust through great first impressions, exceptional communication, clear expectations—all the things that create a delightful customer experience for your new clients. A Wee Bit o' News: Huh, Google is now allowing anonymous reviews. So, we're wondering hard about whether this might encourage a mass influx of fake reviews… ya think? SummaryIn this episode of The Sober Gay Guy Podcast, host TJ shares a heartfelt check-in as the holiday season approaches. He reflects on personal challenges, including health issues and the emotional toll of recent tragic events. TJ discusses the importance of mental health, coping strategies for the holiday season, and the necessity of joy and connection. He emphasizes practical tips for maintaining well-being, such as movement, self-care, and reaching out to loved ones. The episode concludes with a message of encouragement and support for listeners during difficult times.Sour candy is used as a grounding technique to manage acute anxiety or panic attacks by providing an intense sensory distraction that pulls focus to the present moment. The intense, sharp taste of the candy triggers a strong physiological response that momentarily overrides overwhelming feelings of fear and anxiety, a method often incorporated into dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Sensory Distraction: The brain is forced to focus intensely on the unexpected and powerful sour sensation, disrupting the cycle of anxious thoughts and rumination.Grounding: By demanding attention to taste, smell, and texture, the candy helps anchor the individual in the "here and now," which can stop a panic spiral.Physical Response: The jolt of flavor can activate the vagus nerve and cause physical reactions like salivation or changes in facial expression, which may signal the body to calm down and regain a sense of control. From hidden holiday chocolate stashes to a bombshell media deception, this episode takes a sharp turn from festive fun to serious accountability. We start with a lighthearted look at America's secret love affair with “emergency chocolate,” then pivot to a deep dive into a major media controversy—why Donald Trump is suing the BBC for a staggering $10 billion over a deceptively edited January 6th video.
What kind of message is Joe Lacob sending to his team, coaching staff, fanbase? Steiny & Guru try to decipher the words of the Warriors owner.

Bryote Ugly & Piffcoast - A tale of Brothers, Gorilla Grows, Informing, Prison, & Hopeful RedemptionAs a camnabis history podcast, especially dealing with the legacy era, there are going to be some controversial shows. This is definitely one of them. Bryote lays out his thoughts on what occurred a decade ago with Piffcoast sitting there in front of him. It's awkward at moments, its hopeful at moments, and I'm pulling for him to come out ahead. Piffcoast has a lot of detractors - a lot of them were previously trying to get inside his o ring; most of them work with, or worship, other informants and/or people who threaten to snitch and drop paperwork. That's not a defense of Piffcoast, but an actual fact. Charles Schwab's Nathan Peterson talks about how the A.I. narrative shifted strongly toward negativity as concerns of hyperscalers taking on debt added to concerns of stifled profits. After the SPX bounced off its 50-day SMA multiple times before breaking Monday into Tuesday, Nate makes the case that an A.I. Episode 269: Romans 5:6-11In this week's conversation we unpack why “limited atonement” is better called definite atonement—the cross designed by the Father, accomplished by the Son, and applied by the Spirit to truly save a people, not merely make salvation possible. Paul's logic in Romans 5:6–11 carries us from our helplessness and enmity to the wonder of God's love, the satisfaction of His wrath, and the deep assurance that we are “saved by His life.”Christ died to actually save His people. Enemies become family; wrath becomes welcome; fear becomes assurance.Main PointsDefinite Atonement: The cross achieves what God eternally designed—the real salvation of Christ's sheep.Human Helplessness: We weren't neutral; we were ungodly and powerless. Grace starts where our ability ends.God's Love, Clarified:Benevolence (goodwill to all)Beneficence (kind gifts to all)Complacent love (delight for those united to His Son)Wrath Satisfied: Salvation means rescue from God's righteous wrath through Christ's atoning sacrifice.Reconciliation: God took the initiative to reconcile enemies to Himself.Saved by His Life: Jesus' righteous life credited to us and His living intercession keep us to the end.
