Still living dolphins are hauled into fishing boats using hooks, while they set off to a life of captivity, leaving behind a blood filled ocean. On today’s show, we’re going to be talking about more ways we can use the legal system, to help save animals. Our first topic will be, about the creation of an animal abuse registry. If this legislation is passed, it would require mandatory registering of convicted animal abusers, and community notification for where they settle. We will also be talking about National Justice for Animals Week, an annual event designed to raise public awareness of cruelty, educate on how to report abuse, and help create stronger laws.
