Welcome to B2B Crush. I am obsessed with the idea of helping or fixing small businesses that fail to get current. This podcast will be a wild ride. You are getting some sound and sage business advice by a person who knows how to make sh*t happen. BUT, is totally green in making a quality podcast pro…
Now that tax season is almost over, it is that time of year to start a new product offering. It is is the best part of the business to take an idea and put the screws to it. Then take it for a marathon jog through all the phases of the digital underground and to market. I am going to spend the next several weeks giving a play by play of the behind the scenes activities and drama of a project launch. The good news is this episode was done at home and not in a car, so the audio sucks way less. Come join me on the road to a new product. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
this episode really talks about two items that any business owner should consider doing. 1 is 2 go ahead and have the big hairy audacious goals, no problem there. However when it comes to executing, you really need to chunk it down into one or two week Sprint's or intervals to get the work done otherwise you will suffer from paralysis I am Alice. Far too many times people shoot them selves in the foot right out of the gate because they take on a lot of things and you do all of them half-ass. It's much more effective for your soul to pick a small number of things get them done and celebrate each mini Victory. You feel better and people around you also so you getting stuff done, which gives you more energy to go get even more stuff done. And it is very important to celebrate any and all victories because the road to building a business is a long marathon and you could go weeks and months or longer without turning a good dollar because it takes you awhile to build trust with your customer --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
Customers will tell YOU what they want; So Listen! You can have what you believe to be a great product, but if your customers don't agree then your screwed. Makes sense right! They will also tell you when good, is good enough. Don't spend crazy hours polishing the chrome on a new product. It is far more important to listen to your customer, then get them a workable prototype that meets their primary pain points. Help them. Once they are no longer in pain, talk to them some more and then continue to listen and make changes to your product. Seems simple, but far too many business owners sit their shooting for perfection, and while doing so someone else beat them in the market. The world is moving fast, so you better help your customer solve their problem faster than anyone else. If you don't you get left behind. We are not a patient culture in case you missed that fact! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
The fall of an iconic store. It's sad. Really sad. I am not even sure where kids go for a toy excursion that's not watered down, like a big box store is. Getting to go to a huge toy store as a child was awesome. It was overwhelming and awesome at the same time. The lessons learned are so damn relevant to small business owners. It is scary enough out there with Target, Walmart, and Amazon nipping at your heals and taking market share. Business owners have a choice to either lay down, or to fight. Your customers are online, so you better be there too building your brand and being top of mind so when the micro-moment happens, they see you. They buy from you, and they do so because they know you and they like you. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
You like different things, right?? So it sort of makes sense that others do also. When you are hungry, you are willing to try almost anything. This is true when entrepreneurs first start their business. But then many of them get stuck in a routine and become complacent. They begin to have belief systems that slowly put the nails in their business's coffin. They forget how to serve their customer, and these days that is the kiss of death. If you are blessed enough to be in a small town and you are the only provider of a critical service, then maybe your safe. Well, at least until you tick someone off and then they become the competition that puts your lights out. Marketing is not different. Be open to varying platforms and communication mediums. Use the right bait for the fish you wanted to catch. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
The importance of customer service is so damn important, regardless of the size and type of business. Some business owners either forgot this, or never knew and were just lucky. Those days are over. The globe has shrunk and we have more choices than ever as consumers. Make the customer experience a great one. On a side note, I learned to out some music, and reduce the noise a little. The quality is still rough, but this is all part of the journey with delivering a quality podcast. Hang in there and watch the changes over time where it sucks a little less each day. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
In the spirit of being real and transparent and authentic. This episode is about who you serve and why you serve them. Also sounds more like I am flying a Cessna aircraft. I may upgrade my mic at some point, but the wisdom coming across here is great for learning. These are early days of a business and a side hustle. The reason I do all of this is to prove to others that you can be a good husband, great father, a student, an expert in your field, and still find time to serve others doing what you love. For any of you saying it can't be done, you're wrong. You just have to do your research, set a plan, and execute. This podcast documentary will prove that. This is the first drive time rant. It will be interesting to see the progression as I get used to talking to myself, in a less weird way. In short, going after 2 passions. 1) helping others who have a business or those who would like to start one 2) I get to use my passion for all online marketing mediums to help others. Super excited about the journey that is just taking off. 1st week of March 2018 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/realtor007/message
