John "Moose" Williamson began this show to tell story of the most interesting thing that ever happened to him. He bets you'll think it's interesting too.
The final episode of my “Oregon” season. You’ll find out what happened when I went home and my final thoughts on the whole experience. Seriously, if you’ve never done it, rate the show, maybe even write a review on iTunes. And it would mean the world to me if you would tell some friends that you really like this show and they should listen from the beginning. I'm more proud of telling this story in this podcast than anything else I've ever done. Thanks for all your support, everyone.
Recorded LIVE at the Cave Cafe on the campus of Calvin College.
My last days in Oregon. I am joined in the wilderness (and on the podcast) by my parents.
The moment you’ve been waiting for: I receive my earth name. And I start to feel pretty ready to head home. And DEFINITELY listen to the very end for a spine-tingling preview of episodes to come.
I head out on my solo, several days of silence and solitude in the wilderness. It was often pretty boring.
As my program nears its end, I reflect on the tension between my experience and my parents' good intentions.
Our story continues as I acclimate to the advanced section of the program. I receive a letter from my grandfather and get to eat an oreo.
Let's get back to the adventure of a lifetime. We return to the wilderness of Oregon as I attempt to graduate from the Impact program to Advanced. Featuring authentic journal entries and letters from Mom and Dad.
A very tricky episode to put together. I hope we all feel like it worked out. If you're not feeling it, feel free to bail in the middle. NOTE: It is essential that you’ve heard parts 1 through 7 before giving this a try. Thanks, everyone.
The triumphant return of BOATS! The sad return to Obsidian Trails. We're not out of Oregon yet. Featuring music from James Li's Ministry of Interior Spaces Also, I hope you're all seeing our new logo thing by Kendra Kamp.
Part 6! Will there be a Part 7? I suppose you'll know by the end of the episode, won't you?
Fans of episode 4 will not be disappointed. And I sure hope you're all listening through the credits; you don't want to miss any of the fun.
The most anticipated episode in the history of the show. What I said happens happens.
Things get real. This chapter has probably the greatest ending in the history of podcasts. Be sure you've heard parts 1 and 2 for the full experience. In addition to my theme song by Parlor Voice (feat. Johnson Cochran), this episode features music from (among others) Ministry of Interior Spaces, check out the whole album at ministryofinteriorspaces.bandcamp.com.
My first full episode is an introduction to the podcast. I figure it might help to know a little bit about where this show is coming from.
