Welcome back to another powerhouse episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In this special “Best Of IT 2025” edition, Tom Bilyeu sits down with a remarkable panel of thinkers, investigators, and insiders, including Whitney Webb, Scott Galloway, Andrew Bustamante, and Mo Gawdat. Today's conversation dives headlong into the intersections of politics, national security, technology, and the human condition. Whitney Webb unpacks the shadowy networks behind political and business power, giving us a candid look at Donald Trump's motivations, the AI arms race, and the rise of a modern technocracy. She draws bold connections from backroom deals to the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence, questioning who truly benefits from these seismic shifts. Andrew Bustamante, a former CIA operative, pulls back the curtain on intelligence operations, the Epstein scandal, and explains how global gamesmanship actually unfolds—reminding us that the truth often lies somewhere between conspiracy and incompetence. He explores the ongoing “shadow conflict” with China, the realities of modern military strategy, and what's really happening behind the headlines in hotspots like Venezuela and the Caribbean. Mo Gawdat challenges us to rethink the broader implications of global power plays—asking whether America's aggressive stance towards China may actually be hurting itself, and positing that economic diplomacy and humility could be the keys to a more peaceful future. And Scott Galloway offers his trademark candid analysis on the Trump presidency, economic malaise, masculinity in crisis, and what it will take for America's young people—especially young men—to thrive again. If you're looking for a conversation that pulls no punches and explores the uncomfortable truths behind world events, government, technology, and society, you're in the right place. Many lawyers are only in it to make their money and not fight for their clients. For William and his colleagues, they work to ensure their clients are the main priority.William and Tyson talk about using AI in the legal space. William used AI when he has jury trials. He will read his opening or closing statements into the AI machine and it pops out some good snippets that he will use in court. In this episode of Made for Impact, Petia shares a heartfelt message inspired by a recent Deeply Devoted Bible Study—created for women who desire more than a checklist faith and long for a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. Petia reflects on how many women read the Bible out of obligation rather than desire, and why true transformation happens when we approach Scripture as a way to walk with God, not just learn about Him. This episode invites you to pause and ask yourself: What season am I praying God to move me into? You'll hear a powerful testimony from Melanie Cox, a sister in Christ whose life is a living reminder that God is still a God of miracles. After being told by doctors she would never have children, Melanie prayed with bold faith—standing on the truth that if God did it for Mary, Elizabeth, and Hannah, He could do it for her too. Today, she is the mother of five. This episode will encourage you to stop striving for clarity and instead stand on Scripture, trusting that if God has done it before, He can—and will—do it again. In This Episode, You'll Learn Why Bible reading shouldn't feel like a spiritual checklist How to discern when God is shifting you into a new season The power of grounding your prayers in Scripture How to pray boldly by remembering what God has already done Why testimonies strengthen faith—yours and others A simple, practical way to personalize Scripture in your prayer life Scripture Highlight “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” — James 4:8 (NLT) Simple Action Step Write down the season you're praying God to move you into. After a behind-the-scenes moment with mentors that shook her perspective, she unpacks a core issue holding nurses back from real impact: the inability to receive. This episode explores how nursing culture conditions martyrdom, why under-earning is not ethical, and how learning to receive money, praise, and support is essential for leadership, sustainability, and changing healthcare. If this episode makes you uncomfortable, that is the point. Discomfort is where deconditioning begins. In this episode, Laura shares:Nurses do not have a money problem. They have a receiving problem.Nursing culture rewards overgiving, endurance, and martyrdom while discouraging receiving.Impact in private practice is not based on hours worked but on outcomes created.Underearning does not make nurses more compassionate. It makes them exhausted, resentful, and exploitable.Learning to receive is an ethical responsibility if you want to lead and create change.Money creates safety. Safety creates clearer thinking. Clearer thinking creates better care.Private practice and nurse coaching force growth by requiring nurses to receive without guilt.Martyrdom is not moral high ground. It is a business model, and nurses have been the product.Receiving allows you to give from excess, alignment, and regulation instead of depletion. You cannot heal healthcare while financially depleted and resentful. If nurses want to lead the next evolution of healthcare, they must unlearn martyrdom and master receiving. Receiving is not greed. It is regulation, capacity, and leadership in action.Watch full episode on YouTubehttps://youtu.be/554LgCwFq3gIf you loved this episode…Please take 30 seconds to subscribe, rate, and leave a review — it helps more nurses find this work and fall in love with the boring parts too.Mentioned in this episode:Join NLCA Cohort 6https://www.nurselifecoachacademy.com/certification

You don't need your entire life figured out to make a difference. You just need a heart and the courage to take the first step. Show Notes In this episode of Shark Theory, Baylor reflects on the growth of the Dreams Really Exist Foundation and a moment that put everything into perspective. What started as a simple desire to help families in need has grown into an organization that has given away more than 2,500 brand-new bikes, coats, and essential resources across South Dallas and the Metroplex. A short conversation at this year's event reminded Baylor of a powerful truth. Impact doesn't begin with a perfectly crafted plan. It begins with caring. There was no master blueprint when the foundation started. There was no certainty about funding, logistics, or long-term scale. There was simply a heart for helping people and a willingness to take action. From there, Baylor breaks down a framework that applies far beyond philanthropy. Whether you're chasing a career goal, building a business, improving your health, or trying to serve others, the process is the same. Start with what you genuinely care about. Commit to being consistent. Then evolve as you grow. This episode challenges you to take an honest look at what you're known for. Not what you hope people think about you, but what your actions actually communicate. Consistency reveals passion, and passion sustained over time creates real influence. What You'll Learn Why purpose is discovered through action, not waiting How starting with the heart creates lasting momentum The importance of being consistent before trying to expand Why being known for one thing builds trust and opportunity How evolution comes after commitment, not before The difference between spreading yourself thin and building roots Featured Quote "You don't need everything figured out. You just need a heart and the courage to take the next step."

Are you letting data define your story or are you doubling down on what makes you truly exceptional? Dan Sullivan and Jeffrey Madoff challenge the idea that AI and metrics are enough, and show why entrepreneurs who cast instead of hire, elevate standout performances, and compete on impact, not price, build the most memorable and valuable companies. Show Notes: Casting the right person for a role starts with the story of what they actually do, how their team creates value, and how that supports the company's bigger narrative. Data can describe performance, but it can't replace the human story that gives work meaning, direction, and context. Computers and AI are designed to find what's the same, which makes them great at patterns but weak at capturing what's truly exceptional. Storytelling focuses on the one person, one result, or one moment that stands out from everything else. When organizations cut costs by standardizing everything, they usually strip out the exceptional people, offers, and experiences that make them memorable. Entrepreneurs are at their best when they continually differentiate themselves, their offers, and their clients instead of trying to fit into industry averages. The real question around AI isn't, “Is it good or bad” but rather, “In what context am I using it, and does it amplify or erase what's unique about us?” If your company looks and sounds like everyone else, the only thing you can compete on is price. Impact is what makes an experience unforgettable, and that memorability is what sets you apart in a crowded market. Nothing changes in your business story until you take action and create new experiences worth talking about. When you operate from your exceptional strengths, competitors become background noise instead of a threat. Many entrepreneurs don't fully step into their unique story until midlife, when experience and clarity finally catch up with ambition. Resources: Casting Not Hiring by Dan Sullivan and Jeffrey Madoff Always More Ambitious by Dan Sullivan Your Business Is A Theater Production: Your Back Stage Shouldn't Show On The Front Stage Unique Ability®

Welcome to episode #1015 of Thinking With Mitch Joel (formerly Six Pixels of Separation). At a moment when scarcity shapes everything from opportunity to attention, understanding who gets what (and why) has become one of the most consequential questions in modern life. Judd Kessler is the inaugural Howard Marks Endowed Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an award-winning economist, and one of the leading thinkers in market design, public policy and behavioral economics. His research examines how rules, incentives, and institutional structures shape outcomes in environments where price alone cannot (or should not) decide allocation, from organ donation systems to education, labor markets, and beyond. Recognized early for his impact, Judd was named one of Forbes' "30 Under 30" in Law and Policy for his work on organ allocation and received the Vernon L. Smith Ascending Scholar Prize in 2021. His first (and new) book, Lucky by Design - The Hidden Economics You Need to Get More of What You Want, distills years of research into how "hidden markets" - those governed by rules rather than prices - quietly determine access to jobs, schools, tickets, healthcare, and even relationships. Judd explores the mechanics of scarcity, the strategic role of lotteries, waiting lists, and signaling, and how individuals unknowingly participate in market design every day. He also examines how AI is beginning to reshape allocation systems, why visible markets increasingly contain hidden layers, and how better design can improve both efficiency and equity. Grounded in rigorous scholarship yet deeply practical, Judd's work reframes luck not as randomness, but as something shaped by systems we can understand and sometimes redesign. Send us a textAre you stuck in the question that never seems to get answered: Should I stay or should I go?Some days your relationship feels warm enough to keep trying. Other days it feels so lonely you can't believe you're still sharing the same space. If you're in that place right now, you're not alone, and you're not broken. In this special rebroadcast of one of our most impactful episodes, we dive into what we call the Land of Maybe: the exhausting in-between where couples linger for years, hoping things will change, while quietly running out of emotional gas. Here's the truth most people don't hear soon enough: couples wait an average of six years to get help. By the time they do, it's not just about conflict anymore, it's about exhaustion, disconnection, and not knowing what to do next.In this episode, you'll learn:What the Land of Maybe actually looks and feels like inside a relationshipWhy “some days yes, some days no” is emotionally unsustainableHow blame, avoidance, and waiting it out keep couples stuckWhy relationship struggles are almost always skills problems, not love problemsHow to slow down instead of making fear-based decisionsSimple ways to “switch it up” so you can get new information and clarityHow one person can begin changing the dynamic, even if the other is hesitantIf you're navigating space or separation, this episode is especially important. Space can be a reset, or it can quietly become a slow exit, depending on what you do during it. We'll help you understand the difference and show you how to move through this season with intention instead of panic.Whether you've listened to this episode before or you're brand new to Love Shack Live, we invite you to listen with fresh ears. You're not the same person you were the first time you questioned your relationship, and your relationship isn't the same either. This conversation is about clarity. About skills. And about helping you stop spinning so you can start moving forward in a way that honors you, your partner, and what you truly want next.Need Support? If this episode stirred something in you and you're tired of carrying the “maybe” alone, you don't have to figure out your next step by yourself.Tom offers a free clarity call to help you slow things down, get grounded, and see your situation more clearly, without pressure or pushing you in any direction. This episode features a conversation with the inspiring Dr. Veronica House, whose book Local Organic: Food Rhetorics and Community Writing for Impact (Utah State University Press, 2025) explores how writing takes shape within community networks. House brings a generous scholarly voice to questions of writing, community partnership, and meaningful collaboration, and this episode offers a chance to hear how her ideas grew from years of work alongside the people who shaped the project. From Dr. House's faculty bio:  Veronica House is Associate Professor of the Practice and Director of the Writing Center at Boston College. She is the author of Local Organic: Food Rhetorics and Community Writing for Impact (2025) and Medea's Chorus: Myth and 20th Century Women's Poetry Since 1950 (2014). Veronica's recent teaching, community work, and scholarship focus on food movements, community-engaged writing, and writing as a force for social change. Veronica is Founding Director of the Conference on Community Writing and Founding Executive Director of the Coalition for Community Writing. She consults with faculty at colleges and universities across the country to design community-engaged courses and programs. Veronica is recipient of Campus Compact's Engaged Scholar Award; University of Colorado's Women Who Make A Difference Award; and numerous teaching awards. She serves as Consulting Editor of the Community Literacy Journal. ABOUT THE BOOK: In Local Organic, Veronica House explores ways to collaboratively build resilient local food systems and coalitions across disciplines and communities. Framed by a study of language, power, and food both nationally and in Boulder, Colorado, the book offers teachers, organizers, activists, and scholars ideas and examples for building interdisciplinary and intercommunity coalitional ecologies through writing in a methodology for engagement that the author calls ecological community writing. Based on more than a decade of research, teaching, writing, and project-building with undergraduate writing students and project partners, House theorizes how work to encourage local community-based writing becomes an ecological thread connecting things, ideas, and people. Local Organic is a book about collaboratively building community-derived definitions for resilient local food systems and how faculty and students can work to ethically partner with local communities using distributed definition building.Local Organic offers writing and rhetoric faculty and graduate students an ecological methodology to produce, teach, and theorize writing to help communities engage with a wide array of social issues and to work toward individual and community-level impacts.
