Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu! In today's episode, we dive deep into the powerful and provocative conversation between Tom Bilyeu and Amjad Massad, CEO and founder of Replit. Picking up in part two of their discussion, the two explore the societal—and even existential—impacts of technology, with a special focus on AI. The conversation ranges from reflections on Ted Kaczynski's (the Unabomber's) warnings about technology's effects on our sense of purpose and meaning, to the potential for AI to both empower individuals and centralize control in the hands of the elite. You'll hear Tom Bilyeu and Amjad Massad tackle tough questions: Does technology inevitably make us less happy? Can society self-correct when things go wrong, or are we at the mercy of powerful systems? They discuss everything from government regulation and the rise of social antibodies—like shifts in attitudes around smoking and junk food—to the risks of social unrest, information overload, and the war between centralization and decentralization in the digital age. Whether you're passionate about the promise of AI, worried about its pitfalls, or just fascinated by the big-picture consequences of our technological evolution, this episode will challenge your thinking and give you new insights. Get ready for a nuanced, no-holds-barred discussion that blends philosophy, politics, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Enjoy the episode! President Trump's “clamoring for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates” may finally pay off later this year when Kevin Warsh takes over as the new Fed chair. Trump “shouldn't have to wait that long,” however, because his appeal to the Fed has been “on the grounds that inflation is much lower than what's being officially reported,” explains E.J. Antoni, Ph.D., The Heritage Foundation's chief economist. “ It turns out Trump is spot on with today's real inflation rate being only one-third the official metrics. In fact, these numbers come from the real-time price aggregator Truflation which monitors millions of prices every single day. That is orders of magnitude more than the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, which only observes a few thousand prices just three times per month.” (00:00) Trump's Push for Lower Interest Rates (01:49) Understanding Real Inflation Rates (03:40) Comparing Truflation and CPI (06:26) Housing Costs and Inflation Metrics (09:02) The Impact of Lower Interest Rates (09:38) Conclusion and Next Steps

Summary In this episode of Barca Talk, Troy discusses the recent Copa del Rey match, highlighting Barcelona's performance and the challenges they face. He delves into player dynamics, including Araujo's scoring ability and Hansi Flick's influence. The conversation shifts to rumors surrounding player transfers, the introduction of a sleep specialist to enhance performance, and injury updates. Troy also reflects on Rashford's impact at Barcelona and Messi's stance on club politics, concluding with a focus on Frankie de Jong's resurgence and predictions for upcoming matches. Takeaways The Copa del Rey is a unique tournament that showcases smaller teams. Barcelona's performance often lacks intensity against lower-tier teams. Araujo's scoring ability is often underestimated due to his position. Hansi Flick's coaching staff now includes a sleep specialist. Injuries to key players like Pedri and Rafinha are concerning. Rashford has found a new love for the game at Barcelona. Messi is unlikely to get involved in club elections. Frankie de Jong is showing signs of leadership and world-class performance. The team needs to maintain focus and intensity to succeed. Upcoming matches will be crucial for Barcelona's season. Today on Can't Be Contained, I'm sharing a story I don't tell lightly—the year I went from making $30,000 as a waitress to building a $300,000 business by betting on myself before it made sense. This wasn't luck. And it wasn't waiting until I felt "ready." In this solo episode, I break down the internal shifts that changed everything—how choosing belief over doubt, acting "as if," and embodying my future self rewired not just my business, but my health, relationships, and sense of self. We talk about the real difference between empty affirmations and embodied frequency… how breathwork became a body-first tool for breaking old patterns… and why holding your vision especially when things feel shaky is the edge most people miss. Inside the episode: ➤ Why acting "as if" works when willpower doesn't ➤ How breathwork helps dissolve identity-level blocks (not just mindset ones) ➤ The power of rewriting your story before the world catches up ➤ Three aligned action steps you can take today to close the gap between where you are and where you're going ➤ Why investing in yourself collapses time faster than anything else If you're building a business, leading others, or feeling the pull to break cycles around money, impact, or self-trust—this episode is your permission slip. This is about becoming the person who can hold what she's asking for. One decision. One breath. One bold bet on yourself. Today, we have a special guest on the podcast, Keith Lucas, a startup advisor specializing in product, growth, people and culture. Keith led product and engineering at Roblox, helping scale its infrastructure, product offerings, team and business. Most recently, Keith published a book entitled Impact: How to Inspire, Align, and Amplify Innovative Teams. All book proceeds go to charities to help young entrepreneurs, so make sure you check the link in the notes and grab the book today. In our chat, Keith is going to walk us through key concepts in the book, surrounding centering your team around the vision and mission of what you are driving towards, from recruiting to execution to "coaching out".Questions:What was your goal in writing this book? What were you hoping to accomplish? In Chapter 1, you mention purpose inspiring action. How does aligning to purpose drive urgency, without resulting in burnout or being an "antiquated mandate", like you mention in Chapter 2?You state "Culture is what you do, not what you say"... How does a leader's daily behavior - especially around micromanagement or decision-making speed - define the team's realized values, overriding the company's codified ones?I found the idea of The Cascade (Chapter 5) interesting, mapping core beliefs to execution alignment. In terms of feedback, what is the difference between "belief busting" and "hypothesis busting" feedback? How should leaders respond to each in order to maintain trust and agility? How often should entrepreneurial teams deliberately challenge and re-org autonomous pods to optimize for agility and opportunity, over long term stability? Now this is interesting - the "okay contributor", you define as a person who meets standards in all areas but shows no exceptionalism. Why is this person more damaging to a culture of mastery, than the high talent disrupter? What is a Mission Athlete? When recruiting, how does preparing a vision doc for a role shift the recruiting conversation from transactional to one focused on strategic alignment and ownership? You mention in Chapter 8 that compensation can be a distraction. What core mistakes do scaling startups make with compensation that turn it from a non-issue into an energy-sapping problem that erodes retention? You define Coaching Out as the intentional process of protecting the productive from the disruptive, treating an exit as a non-personal assessment that maintains decency and clarity. Can you describe the GYOR continuum? Why should leaders avoid formal PIP's when dealing with a struggling team member? What must replace it to ensure accountability and decency?SponsorsTECH DomainsMezmoBraingrid.aiAlcorEquitybeeTerms and conditions: Equitybee executes private financing contracts (PFCs) allowing investors a certain claim to ESO upon liquidation event; Could limit your profits. View This Week's Show NotesStart Your 7-Day Trial to Mobility CoachJoin Our Free Weekly Newsletter: The AmbushIn this episode of The Ready State Podcast, we're joined by Dr. Kevin Hall—one of the world's leading metabolism researchers and a longtime NIH scientist—for a wide-ranging conversation on what the research actually says about weight loss, energy balance, and the modern food environment.Dr. Hall explains what we've learned from real-world and tightly controlled studies, including his work following The Biggest Loser contestants, and why exercise doesn't fully prevent the metabolic adaptations that can accompany major weight loss. We also unpack why “calories in, calories out” is both true in principle and often misunderstood in practice, how ultra-processed foods can drive overeating, and what GLP-1 medications may be changing in appetite biology. The episode also touches on Dr. Hall's departure from a 21-year career at the NIH, following the censorship of his team's findings on ultra-processed foods when they didn't align with preferred narratives—an experience he describes as chilling for scientific communication. Finally, we explore the practical challenges of doing high-quality nutrition research, why confident opinions can outpace the data, and what it will take to better understand—and ultimately prevent—diet-related chronic disease. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy metabolism isn't “broken” — and why larger bodies burn more calories at restWhat the Biggest Loser study actually revealed about weight loss and regainWhy exercise doesn't “save” your metabolism during extreme dietingHow ultraprocessed foods change how much people eat — without acting like addictive drugsWhy calories in vs. calories is often misunderstood in practiceHow genetics and environment interact to shape body weightWhat GLP-1 drugs are really doing — and what they don't fixWhy nutrition science is underfunded, politicized, and desperately neededChapters(00:00) - Kevin Hall, PhD, Metabolism Researcher(01:01) - Dr. Hall on the Ready State Podcast(04:10) - Misconceptions About Metabolism(04:54) - The Biggest Loser Study & Metabolism Influence(13:09) - Challenges in Nutrition Research(19:10) - Metabolism's Role in Weight Loss(22:13) - Vitality Blueprint: Importance of Blood Work(25:45) - Calories In, Calories Out: Simplistic View?(30:45) - Understanding GLP-1 Agonists(32:20) - The Food Environment's Impact(36:05) - Ultra-Processed Foods and Caloric Intake(38:02) - The Complexity of Obesity(41:40) - Solutions for Our Food System(48:23) - Causes of Brain Fog(49:34) - Element: Nutritional Insights(51:39) - RFK Jr. Discussion(01:01:40) - Politics' Influence on Science(01:04:35) - Leaders in Nutrition Science(01:06:48) - Can Weight Loss Be Achieved?(01:08:10) - Universal Diets: Myth or Reality?(01:12:35) - Why Doritos Lead to Overeating(01:13:21) - Understanding Visceral Fat(01:14:04) - Momentous: Nutritional Products(01:20:25) - Book/TV Show/Music Recommendations(01:21:11) - Connecting with Dr. Hall(01:21:52) - OutroConnect with KevinWebsite | Bluesky | X | LinkedInBook: Food Intelligence: The Science of How Food Both Nourishes and Harms UsCheck out The Biggest Loser Study2019 Study: Ultra-Processed Diets Cause Excess Calorie Intake and Weight GainHuge thanks to our sponsors, Vitality, Momentous, and LMNT.
What does the Bible have to say about minimalism? Turns out - quite a bit, although it may not seem like it at first glance. Joshua Becker's new book Uncluttered Faith: Own Less, Love, More, and Make an Impact in Your World, is centered around a bold claim. Minimalism - specifically what Jesus has to say about possessions and money - is God's design for our life. The book dives into Scripture passages that point to numerous spiritual benefits that you can experience through minimalism, to allow you to reach your full potential and impact in the Kingdom of God. In this episode, Joshua and I talk about: - Why the American Church hasn't focused more on the message of minimalism, specifically when it comes to Jesus' clear teachings on our relationship with money and material possessions - How our fruitfulness has been choked out by consumerism and distraction - How minimalism helps us enjoy the benefits of God's spiritual kingdom Joshua is the founder and editor of Becoming Minimalist, a website dedicated to intentional living that was named by SUCCESS Magazine as one of the top ten personal development websites. He is also the USA Today and WSJ best-selling author of 6 books including The Minimalist Home, The More of Less, and Things That Matter. His new book, Uncluttered Faith, will be released on February 10, 2026. He is also the Founder of The Hope Effect, a nonprofit organization changing how the world cares for orphans. Currently, he lives in Peoria, AZ with his wife and two teenage children.

Ep 245 | A beloved "clean" brand gets dragged online, a weirdly addictive AI remix goes viral, and vintage stoves somehow become a status symbol — welcome to the internet in 2026. This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara unpack what consumers need to know about the Kerrygold PFAS controversy, why AI-generated music is leaving people unsure how to feel, and how a farmhouse breakfast reel reminded us that they really don't make things like they used to. With the Super Bowl coming up, they also share why Avocados From Mexico isn't just skipping the big-game ad this year, but changing their entire marketing strategy. What We Discovered This Week
In this Thursday episode of Book Talk for BookTok, we bring an academic lens to bookish culture, genre fiction, and the conversations shaping romance and romantasy today. Our podcast blends literary analysis, cultural criticism, and emotional honesty. We treat romance, romantasy, and fanfiction as genres worthy of serious discussion, not just quick takes. This episode is part of our Subtext Society series, inspired by The Subtext Society Journal. The Subtext Society Journal is a collaborative publication dedicated to thoughtful essays on romance, romantasy, fan culture, and publishing ethics. We explore moral questions, genre evolution, power dynamics, and the real-world impact of stories, guided by values of literary rigor without gatekeeping, community over hierarchy, and ethics-first analysis. Today's discussion focuses on the article: “The Impact of Romance Novels on Real-Life Expectations." This article interrogates the long-standing claim that romance novels give women “unrealistic expectations” about men, arguing instead that the genre often clarifies (not distorts) what readers actually want. By unpacking the appeal of romance novel MMCs, she reframes the conversation away from abs, wealth, and fantasy physiques, and toward emotional availability, respect, loyalty, and genuine desire. Drawing on pop-culture examples, therapy insights, and personal reflection, the article positions romance novels as a form of emotional exposure therapy: a safe space where readers can examine what triggers them, what heals them, and what healthy connection can look like. Rather than setting women up for disappointment, Sahlin suggests romance fiction can help readers recognize that asking to be cherished, listened to, and liked is not unrealistic at all—it's foundational. Our inspiring podcast guest today, Scott Tillema, is an award-winning keynote speaker and negotiation expert who helps leaders navigate difficult conversations with confidence, influence, and trust. Drawing on more than 20 years in law enforcement, including his work as an FBI-trained hostage negotiator and a business negotiator trained through the Harvard University Program on Negotiation, Scott brings rare, real-world insight into what it takes to lead effectively in high-stakes moments. His work focuses on showing leaders how to connect first, influence second, and create outcomes that move people and businesses forward. In this episode, Scott unpacks the psychology behind negotiation and human connection through four key factors: understanding, timing, delivery, and respect.

Their perspectives shed light on the emotional toll of the trial and the intricacies of the appeals process. Today, he's one of the internet's most beloved creators, best known as Shabaz Says, with millions of fans and a knack for skewering the most outrageous (and often tasteless) displays of online excess. Since quitting the day job, Shabaz has launched a podcast, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and published his book I'm Rich, You're Poor. Beneath the humour though, there's always been something more serious at play: a sharp commentary on the psychological erosion that comes from spending too much of our lives online. In this episode, we talk about Shabaz's upbringing, being bullied at school, how his taxi-driver Dad didn't even realise his son was famous until recently and why no-one should ever spend £10,000 on an outfit. ✨ IN THIS EPISODE: 00:00 Introduction 03:03 The Impact of Social Media on Youth 05:14 Navigating Imposter Syndrome and Success 10:53 Embracing Authenticity and Overcoming Criticism 12:46 Growing Up in Blackburn 15:45 Challenges of Intersectional Identity 22:36 Family Perspectives and Cultural Expectations 24:04 Struggles with Poverty 25:20 Empathy 30:15 From Teacher to Social Media Star 31:24 Unexpected Career in the Hospital Morgue 33:38 Finding Viral Success Online 37:16 Representation and Finding Your Voice

In this episode, Professor Nick Giordano and John Lott, President and Founder of the Crime Prevention Research Center, expose the reality of ICE enforcement, Trump's immigration record, and the statistics the mainstream media refuses to cover. Despite the headlines, the data reveals a different story about U.S. immigration policy. From the "organized movement" against ICE to the truth about American citizen detentions, we break down why public perception is so disconnected from reality. What You'll Learn in This Episode The Trump vs. Obama Record: How historical ICE error rates compare across administrations. The Myth of "Citizen Sweeps": The actual statistical likelihood of ICE mistakenly detaining U.S. citizens. Sanctuary Policies & Safety: How local law enforcement cooperation, or the lack thereof, directly impacts community outcomes. Funding the Protest: A look at the organized and funded movement designed to disrupt ICE operations. Media Bias: How narratives around "complex causes" of detention deaths are framed to shape public opinion. Why public support for deportation policies remains strong despite media narratives
Live from the Ondo Summit in NYC, Stocktwits CEO Howard Lindzon joins Jennifer Sanasie for a special Markets Outlook to break down the rise of the Degenerate Economy, where 24/7 speculation has replaced traditional entertainment. As AI and LLMs commoditize Wall Street research, Lindzon highlights how social sentiment has become the last remaining edge for the modern trader. This shift is central to his Social Relative Strength framework for spotting overlooked assets, a strategy he uses to explain why the retail crowd is currently front-running a debasement trade in gold and silver, even ahead of bitcoin. - Timecodes: 0:54 - Defining the Degenerate Economy in 2026 2:45 - The Evolution of StockTwits and Social Trading 3:30 - The Impact of AI on Research and Trading 6:38 - The shift from Globalization to Deglobalization 9:13 - AI Agents and the Future of Retail Trading - This episode was hosted by Jennifer Sanasie and Andy Baehr.

Stanley discusses racing again while still in recovery, including her recent return at the Arc of Attrition 100, and what it meant to simply reach the start line. She also speaks candidly about her complicated relationship with the sport itself -why she doesn't closely follow ultrarunning, how she intentionally limits her exposure to public opinion, and how she has built a professional career largely insulated from external narratives. DMC sits down with Metal Walt for a deep dive into his heavy metal and hard rock origins — from the music he heard growing up to discovering the power of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. In this wide-ranging conversation, DMC explains how rock music was already embedded in early hip-hop culture, why songs like “Rock Box” proved that rock was part of Run-DMC's DNA from the start, and how that foundation eventually led him to create metal and hard rock music in his own lane. The interview also touches on DMC's 2026 solo metal single “She Gets Me High,” his connection to NYC hardcore, playing with Agnostic Front, performing with Sammy Hagar, and opening for Lou Reed — reinforcing a lifelong relationship with rock, metal, and underground culture. 00:00 Show Open & Pre-Roll Tease 02:12 What Music Sounded Like in DMC's House Growing Up 03:47 Discovering Rock on WABC and the First Metal Obsession (Black Sabbath) 07:00 Rock and Early Hip-Hop Culture — DJs, Crates, and Crossover 09:12 “Rock Box” and Why Rock Was Always in Run-DMC's DNA 12:05 “Walk This Way” — History, Impact, and the Permission Moment 23:14 When DMC Decided to Start Making Rock Music 25:59 DMC and the HellRaisers — Live Reactions and Reality 29:14 Rock DNA Across Classic Run-DMC Songs (King of Rock, It's Tricky, Mary, Mary, Why You Buggin') 34:06 “She Gets Me High” — DMC's Solo Metal Direction and Lineup 45:02 Hardcore Roots — Agnostic Front, NYC, and Underground Energy 54:11 Legacy, Creativity, and What DMC Is About Today 01:07:11 Wrap-Up & Where to Follow DMC Metal Mayhem ROC Website: https://metalmayhemroc.com/ DMC Website: https://thekingdmc.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. He also discusses how integrating data from wearables, blood tests, and the microbiome can help people move from reactive medicine to proactive health decisions, allowing for interventions that fit the individual. The conversation highlights the promise and practical limits of current technologies, the trade-offs involved in optimizing health, and the power of AI to accelerate both research and personal health journeys. Nathan makes a strong case for the unique biology each person brings to the table and shows how the tools available today can help anyone take charge of their own healthspan in ways not possible before.Guest-at-a-Glance

What do you do when your spiritual life hits the wall?Pastor Mitchell uses the imagery of endurance athletes, marathon runners, and “Heartbreak Hill” to explain why many believers stall spiritually and how Scripture shows us the way forward. The Apostle Paul compares the Christian life to a race that requires discipline, restraint, and intentional sacrifice. This sermon explores fasting, self control, and physical discipline as biblical tools God uses to unlock spiritual authority, clarity, and breakthrough. From Esther's national fast to Jesus' wilderness victory, from the early church to Paul's own ministry, Scripture consistently shows a pattern: physical obedience releases spiritual power. If you're tired, stalled, or stuck at the same level year after year, this message will challenge you to run differently.Scriptures referenced include 1 Corinthians 9, Esther 4, Matthew 17, Ezra 8, Luke 4, Acts 9, Acts 10, and Acts 13.Chapters00:00 Introduction and New Year Reflections02:31 The Spiritual and Physical Connection in Sports05:21 Discipline of the Body and Spiritual Growth08:42 Fasting: A Physical Action with Spiritual Results11:33 Biblical Examples of Fasting and Prayer14:48 The Role of Fasting in Ministry and Decision Making17:41 The Mental Dimension of Fasting20:39 Jesus' Teachings on Fasting23:36 The Impact of Fasting on the Church26:41 Conclusion: Seeking the Next Level Through FastingShow NotesALL PROCEEDS GO TO WORLD EVANGELISMLocate a CFM Church near you: https://cfmmap.orgWe need five-star reviews! Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In today's episode, Tom Bilyeu takes you on a deep dive into the radical transformation of the global financial system—a shift that is redefining the rules of investing, and impacting everything from your mortgage rates to international alliances. The era where the US dollar acted as a neutral bridge for global trade is officially over. Now, the dollar is a weapon of economic statecraft, used strategically to reward allies and punish adversaries on the world stage. Tom Bilyeu unpacks the recent moves by the US Treasury and Federal Reserve, their ripple effects on the yen and US bonds, and why the classic “set it and forget it” approach to investing might be obsolete. You'll learn how the age of polite globalism is giving way to a lower-trust, more volatile world—where nations are building financial walls and alliances are driven by survival rather than harmony. Get ready to rethink your approach to wealth, risk, and opportunity as Tom Bilyeu explores how power, not trust, now drives the world order—and what you can do to stay ahead. Let's dive in.
