In this return conversation, Mark Gober opens up about one of the most intense and transformative experiences of his life: a guided ibogaine journey that forced him into direct confrontation with the roots of identity, self-judgment, and inherited fear. What unfolds is not psychedelic glamour or mystical escapism, but a brutal, compassionate reckoning with the architecture of the psyche — from parts work and suppressed rage to ancestral trauma and the meaning of real self-love. Mark describes communing with an intelligence that seemed to know him better than he knew himself, dismantling old narratives while demanding embodiment, responsibility, and integration. This is a raw exploration of what happens when insight becomes unavoidable, when healing moves through the body, and when love arrives in the form of truth.Time Stamps (00:00) Episode Teaser (00:34) Opening Conversation (04:37) Understanding Ibogaine and Its Effects (06:25) The Healing Power of Ibogaine (25:24) The Definition of Self-Love That Was Revealed (33:35) Intergenerational Healing (40:51) Reverence vs. Worship: Understanding the Difference (42:43) Yerasimos' Ayahuasca Experience (46:27) The Role of the Medicine in Personal Development (52:54) The Supplemental Dose: Processing Emotions and Ancestral Trauma (01:00:30) Integration and the Challenges of Returning to Normal Life (01:03:09) The Relationship Between Self-Betrayal and Self-Love (01:15:20) The Importance of Intent and Reverence in Medicine Work (01:22:28) Surrender and Trust: Lessons from the Divine Realm (01:27:25) Setting Intentions and Personal Reflections (01:30:09) The Impact of Social Media and Technology (01:40:37) Voluntarism and Political Philosophy (01:43:49) Personal Growth and SpiritualityGuest Linkshttps://www.markgober.com/ Connect with UsJoin our membership Friends of the TruthRise Above The Herd Take the Real AF Test NowDiscover Your Truth Seeker ArchetypeWatch all our episodesConnect with us on TelegramFollow us on InstagramAccess all our links

What are the pros and cons of detaining young offenders versus emphasizing rehabilitation and community programs? Community Perception: How does public trust (or lack thereof) in the justice system impact the effectiveness of both policing and community safety, according to the experiences shared by the speakers? Role of Social Media: The episode touches on how social media and news highlight negative stories and amplify fear. How do you think this shapes public opinion about policing and crime in your community? Systemic vs. Individual Responsibility: How do larger systemic issues (like generational disinvestment in certain neighborhoods) interact with personal responsibility when it comes to youth crime? Where should change start? Community Policing: Several speakers shared about the power of having officers truly embedded in the community. What are the benefits and potential drawbacks of more “community-oriented” policing? Race and Law Enforcement: The episode challenges the narrative that all issues in policing are strictly racial. How do the speakers suggest we navigate conversations about race, policing, and justice more productively? Redemption and Forgiveness: What does real redemption look like for youth who have made serious mistakes? Should the justice system emphasize second chances, and where is the line drawn? The Power of Conversation: The speakers repeatedly argue that real dialogue—like the one on this podcast—is key to understanding. What steps could you or your community take to foster more of these conversations? Highlighting the Positive: The episode closes by calling for more recognition of the positive things happening in communities and police departments. Why do you think positive stories so rarely make headlines, and how could we change this? Additional Actions: Leave your feedback or suggest future topics at blackandbluevoices.com/contact. In this transformative episode of The Empowering Story, Jean Dorff investigates a deep and nuanced question: What happens when the language and identity of victimhood, which once protected us, begins to burden us? Building on previous discussions about trauma and healing, this episode explores the powerful yet delicate distinction between honoring your story and becoming stuck within it. Key Topics Covered: The Role of Language in Trauma Recovery: Jean revisit how naming and accepting victimhood can stabilize the nervous system, acting as a necessary protective shield in the initial stages of healing. When Acceptance Becomes Identity: The hosts unpack the risk of getting "stuck" in victimhood—when acceptance morphs into identity and the story of harm becomes a source of ongoing organization for your sense of self. Understanding Adaptation vs. Manipulation: Jean Dorff compassionately explains how identity-based victimhood is not a flaw, but an intelligent adaptation to environments that denied or punished your truth. The Impact of Community and Online Spaces: Discover how trauma-informed communities and online spaces can help people feel seen for the first time, but also sometimes reinforce injury as identity through validation loops. Embodied Signs of Integration: The episode brings a trauma-informed lens to healing. Integration isn't declared—it's noticed through shifts in the body: longer exhales, relaxed shoulders, reduced urgency in speech. These subtle cues reveal growth beyond the narrative. Restoring Choice and Authorship: Healing is reframed not as erasing or minimizing the past, but as reclaiming your freedom and authorship over whether your story defines you. Jean offers reflective questions for listeners to explore their own relationship with their story. Top Quotes: "Acceptance is present when the body settles. Identity forms when the nervous system still organizes around being believed." "Integration is not a decision; it is a capacity built through repeated, embodied experiences of safety." "The difference between honoring truth and remaining organized around it is choice." Who Should Listen: This episode is for survivors, trauma therapists, coaches, and anyone interested in trauma recovery, identity, and the intersection of psychology and community. If you've ever wondered about the boundary between honoring your past and reclaiming your future, this conversation will resonate deeply. Why This Episode Matters: With rich, trauma-informed insight and compassion, Jean leverages both expertise and lived experience to illuminate the path from survival to true healing. Their reflections draw from somatic, psychological, and social perspectives, ensuring information you can trust. Connect and Reflect: What part of your truth wants more space? Do you feel relief after telling your story, or is there an urge to repeat it? Share your reflections, or listen in again when you're ready to lean further into freedom. Keywords for SEO: trauma recovery, victimhood, healing from trauma, podcast, nervous system, trauma-informed, embodiment, integration, authorship, identity, moving on, somatic healing, psychological safety Listen and subscribe to The Empowering Story Podcast for more insights on trauma recovery, healing, and self-authorship.
Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu! In this electrifying continuation of his conversation with geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan, Tom dives into the forces shaping the next era of global power. From the much-debated Thucydides' Trap and the real state of China's future to America's political and demographic crossroads, this episode is a masterclass in understanding the seismic shifts rocking our world. Peter Zeihan makes a compelling case for why China's rise might not be the threat many fear, citing geopolitical bottlenecks, demographic crises, and internal political strife. The conversation then takes a sharp, honest look at America's own challenges—from aging demographics and political party chaos to the hard realities of reindustrialization and immigration reform. Along the way, Tom Bilyeu and Peter Zeihan examine the impact of social media on truth, the lessons (and perils) of historical mass migrations, and whether technology can rescue countries facing population decline. Get ready to have your assumptions challenged and your worldview expanded with practical insights on what's really at stake for the future of nations. Join Robert 'Big Shot Bob' Horry and the crew for episode 123 of the 'Shoot Around,' as they dive into some engaging NBA discussions, personal stories, and audience questions. Robert kicks off the episode by announcing a week-long break as he heads to Orlando for a family vacation at the new Epic Universe park. The show's first major topic centers around the widely rumored NBA expansion cities, Vegas and Seattle, and the crew debates other potential cities deserving of a franchise such as Louisville, St. Louis, and Kansas City. Shifting gears, the conversation pivots to Denver Nuggets' star Nikola Jokic and his chase for the all-time triple-double record. The panel reflects on Jokic surpassing Oscar Robertson to secure the second position and ponders his ability to catch up to the current leader, Russell Westbrook. The focus also turns to the Chicago Bulls and their recent trades, which have left fans perplexed due to the lack of first-round draft picks received in return. The discussion delves into the value and potential of players like DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Lonzo Ball. Finally, the crew answers a variety of listener questions including the feasibility of G-League players returning to college ball, the challenges of adjusting to professional sports, and the weirdest movies they’ve ever seen. They share thoughts on the NCAA's stance on player eligibility, the differences between college and professional basketball environments, and their bewildering movie experiences.

We all love the idea of “potential” until it quietly turns into pressure, guilt, and a weird fear of actually trying. Heather Moyse didn't start professional sport until 27 and still became a double Olympic gold medallist. Breaking out of her social safety and truly exploring her potential wasn't easy. We dig into behavioral inertia, self‑sabotage, and the invisible “settings” your environment installs in your brain. Think of this as a mindset update: less motivational quotes, more useful psychology. f you've ever felt stuck in the “nearly” version of your life—nearly starting, nearly committing, nearly backing yourself—this conversation gives you language, mental models, and a few friendly kicks to move. Spot the subtle ways your environment is capping your potential. Replace “be realistic” thinking with experiments that actually feel safe. Build a high‑potential identity without burning out or becoming a robot. Hit play and give your potential something better than another inspirational reel. SPONSORS

What if sustainable growth isn't about becoming the biggest player in the market? Agencies triple in size and lose their soul. They chase national footprints and abandon the community relationships that made them valuable. Meanwhile, regional firms with deep roots are building something holding companies can't replicate. In this episode, host Dan Nestle sits down with Jennifer Kaplan, founder and president of Evolve PR and Marketing—Arizona's largest PR firm. Since 2010, Jen has grown to 28 full-time publicists serving more than 140 clients. She's earned Copper Anvil's 2025 Agency of the Year and PR News' Top Women in PR—but the real story is how she built an agency that's simultaneously deeply local and nationally sophisticated. Dan and Jen explore why relationship-driven business is becoming a competitive moat in the AI era, the tension between AI efficiency and human authenticity, and what two decades of agency leadership teaches you about leading through chaos without losing what makes you special. Listen in and hear about... Why local authority often delivers more impact than national vanity coverage Balancing AI tool adoption with authentic client and media relationships Building agency culture through purpose, consistency, and trust The power of niche specialization over broad service sprawl Leadership lessons from 20 years of agency growth—including when to stop trying to do it all Notable Quotes from Jennifer Kaplan "My mom would say that I was born doing pr, and it is something that I love so much because I feel like it's who I am. So when I talk to people, I do say, you know, look at something that isn't just a job." [00:04:07 – 00:04:23] "With any trend, I feel in any business you have to be on it, you have to be aware, but don't lose your identity and don't let it replace things that it shouldn't replace." [00:11:19 – 00:11:34] "You have to be in tune with AI, but I wouldn't let it take the place of so many wonderful things that we can offer as individuals and that are afforded us in, in the world." [00:12:45 – 00:13:02] "Go be you. You know, don't let AI or all the things that are around us take away from who you are and lose who you know what makes you special." In this IMMH 2023 conference presentation on "Sex Hormones and their Impact on Mental Health", Dr. Gersh explains why ovarian hormones influence so much more than reproduction – and why they are a missing ingredient in many conversations about brain health, mood disorders and cognitive decline. She highlights the disproportionate burden of depression and anxiety in women and notes that nearly a quarter of women in their 40s and 50s (peri/early menopause) are being prescribed antidepressants, arguing that hormone health must be considered as part of the bigger clinical picture. Dr. Gersh is a dual board-certified OB-GYN and integrative physician, founder and director of the Integrative Medical Group of Irvine, and a leading voice in women's hormonal and metabolic health. In this session she combines clinical and scientific data and decades of experience to demonstrate that estradiol (E2) plays a central, protective role in the brain, supporting energy production, regulating inflammation and maintaining neurological resilience. In this very informative and practical talk, Dr. Gersh outlines how hormonal decline and disruption can increase vulnerability to mood disorders, migraines, cognitive symptoms and neurodegeneration – and how optimizing hormones through lifestyle, nutrition and psychological therapies can help protect long-term brain health. The overall message is both preventative and hopeful: many hormone-related mental health risks are modifiable and treatable. In this episode, you will learn: Why sex hormones function as whole-body "life/health hormones," supporting brain, metabolic and immune health – not just reproduction. How hormones are a missing piece in many discussions of depression, anxiety and cognitive decline in women. That almost 25% of peri- and early-menopausal women are prescribed antidepressants, highlighting the scale of midlife mood symptoms. The association between teen oral contraceptive use and higher lifetime cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes. How estradiol (E2) is strongly neuroprotective, supporting brain energy metabolism and cellular resilience. Why women have approximately 2.5× the incidence of Alzheimer's disease, and how hormone loss may contribute to that risk. How estradiol helps regulate microglia, astrocytes and neuroinflammation, keeping the brain's immune response balanced. The role of estradiol in maintaining the blood–brain barrier, and how deficiency may increase inflammatory vulnerability. Emerging evidence that low-dose estradiol therapy may support mood stability, including in postpartum depression and certain bipolar presentations. Why progesterone is also neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory, with important roles in mood, mitochondrial function and overall brain health.

Peter Schiff explains why today's “better than expected” jobs report is meaningless—and why the real story is the massive downward revisions. The government erased roughly 2.5 million jobs going back to 2019, including about 1.1 million from 2025 and over 800,000 from 2024. That means many of the celebrated “beats” from the past two years were actually misses, and markets were trading on bad data. This episode is sponsored by NetSuite. Download the free “Demystifying AI” at https://netsuite.com/goldSchiff breaks down how automated trading reacts to jobs prints (strong jobs = buy dollars/sell gold), why the birth/death model distorted reality, and why gold and the dollar are no longer reacting the way they used to. He also covers rising oil and oil stocks, why gold and silver miners may hit new highs before the metals, why foreign markets are crushing U.S. stocks year-to-date, and why the dollar index looks set up for a sharper decline. Finally, Schiff argues the crypto crash is the first bubble to pop—an early warning for broader asset bubbles—and explains why tokenized gold is becoming the real “digital money” narrative as Bitcoin's “digital gold” claim fails in real time.Chapters:00:00 Introduction and Opening Remarks00:56 Analyzing the Employment Report03:06 Revisions and Job Market Realities07:17 Impact on Markets and Currency11:41 Oil and Energy Market Trends16:24 Stock Market Performance and Predictions26:06 Economic Data and Debt Discussion31:04 Inflation and Its Consequences34:11 Understanding Poverty and Supply35:52 The Role of the US Dollar in Global Trade37:07 Impact of Dollar Collapse on Global Markets40:11 Trump Administration's Economic Policies41:51 Bitcoin's Decline and Market Bubbles52:21 The Future of Gold and Tokenization58:34 Preparing for Economic CrisisFollow @peterschiffX: https://twitter.com/peterschiffInstagram: https://instagram.com/peterschiffTikTok: https://tiktok.com/@peterschiffofficialFacebook: https://facebook.com/peterschiffSign up for Peter's most valuable insights at https://schiffsovereign.comSchiff Gold News: https://www.schiffgold.com/newsFree Reports & Market Updates: https://www.europac.comBook Store: https://schiffradio.com/books#economiccrisis #jobmarketanalysis #goldinvestmentOur Sponsors:* Check out GhostBed: https://ghostbed.com/PETER* Check out TruDiagnostic and use my code GOLD20 for a great deal: https://www.trudiagnostic.comPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu! In this episode, Tom sits down with geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan for a fascinating deep dive into the tectonic shifts shaping our world order. Together, Tom Bilyeu and Peter Zeihan unpack why the global landscape is changing—and why it isn't just about any single political figure, but rather the collision of long-standing trends in trade, demographics, and national priorities. You'll hear Peter Zeihan break down how the post–World War II system, built on American-led security and global cooperation, is unraveling amidst demographic decline and shifting alliances. They explore why the current moment might be unlike anything we've seen since the Black Plague, what happens when countries are forced to become economic generalists again, and why U.S. leadership is facing a critical test. Plus, Tom Bilyeu presses Peter on what this means for America's future, global productivity, and the hard choices ahead. Whether you're a geopolitical buff or just eager to understand how economics truly drives world affairs, this episode will challenge your assumptions and give you the tools to see the present—and the future—in a whole new light. Paul also covers the near $2 million GoFundMe honoring VA nurse Alex Pretti, the deportation case victory for a Mexican father of three Marines, a January 6th pardoned rioter convicted of child abuse, and a 21-year-old bagpiper playing through tear gas at ICE protests. Plus: updates on striking NYC nurses, James Van Der Beek's tragic death and call to action on colorectal cancer screening, and Olympic medal counts. This episode delivers the five I's—Independence, Information, Integrity, Inspiration, and Impact—with a focus on finding glimmers of hope and joy even in dark times.
