The reason I use the term “Sunshine” is because of my fascination with sunflowers - they actively rotate throughout the day so that they stay facing towards the sunshine for energy, be that “sunshin…

Finally, I thought she would be the one who would be excellent at explaining some precautions we can take to avoid spreading this virus. The main focus of this episode is to talk about my dreams and how they are symbolic and help us see into the future. I start out talking about my production of The Vagina Monologues. Then go into dreams. ***Tiger: White tigers are not common in the wild, and so in a dream this maymean something is of special importance. A white tiger symbolizes rarity and unique intuitive gifts. **The hawk symbolizes the ability to use intuition and higher vision in order to complete tasks or make important decisions. ... Hawks represent the messengers of the spirit world, so seeing them definitely means the universe wants you to learn powerful lessons or expand your knowledge and wisdom. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bethesunshinebrf/message

I love teaching my children words [even though I may not use the text book "definition"] ... we do get a little sidetracked when her little sister Amelia decided to show us her car tricks. The World is a Better Place With You In It

I will say time and time again, how I am not always the greatest at putting my thoughts into words, so I found the saying "the world is a better place with you in it" when I was looking up something to write in a birthday card.. (hehe).. but the words carry so much meaning. Listen as I talk about what it means to me and how to remind people around you that they matter. Also, I talk about how I had received some amazing gifts and surprises this past Christmas - Thank you to who ever the anonymous gifts were from and thank you to my sweet friend for gifting me the nice Advent Basket- the world is a better place with you in it. I can't wait to pay it forward next year. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bethesunshinebrf/message

Attitude of gratitude

Feeling blessed to live in a small town - I have so many people looking out for me! I have been struggling with non-stop issues with my car. As a single mom with two young kids, I have a tight budget, so... when people offer help - you bet I take it! I was recording while driving to the garage/shop to get it looked at, and some guy did one of my biggest annoyances that drivers do- don't mind my mini-road-rage-vulgar-vent! :) So blessed- attitude of gratitude is powerful shit! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bethesunshinebrf/message

Talking with my Children : Why we eat meat, a talk with my 5 year old

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 10, 2020 21:38

I have a talk in the kitchen with my daughter as I make ground meat for her lunch: "taco" [the American way hehe] -- I get distracted (AS ALWAYS) --- Amelia (my 5 year old) and I talk about why we eat animals, I talk about "GAME CHANGERS"....dive into my beliefs on why it is okay to eat animals and how I am FAR from an extreme Vegan/Vegetarian....Also, I talk about our "Trip" to some farms (for a play date) and as I say "we 'looked' at cows. * PSA: This is a RAW, unscripted recording., I realized I said something that didn't make sense, so to correct myself: What I said: "skipping the animal and going to the protein source" - I meant, "skipping the middle man (the animal) and consuming vegetation and converting it to protein for our body" What I said: “I’m competing to compete in a competition” – I meant “ I am training to compete in a competition” Hopefully as I do this more, I will be more impeccable with my words when I go unscripted! p.s. DON’T judge me: I am not ignorant… I am aware of the terms: # Veganism is the belief in the impossible, a quest in perhaps many of man’s follies to pursue a life free of suffering. It is the belief in autonomy, minimizing our forceful dependency on creatures with blood and brain. It is the belief in equality of humans, and minimizing the expenditures of haves versus have nots. # Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat (red meat, poultry, seafood, and the flesh of any other animal), and may also include abstention from by-products of animal slaughter. Vegetarianism may be adopted for various reasons. Many people object to eating meat out of respect for sentient life. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bethesunshinebrf/message

PILOT EPISODE 1, gotta start somewhere.

This is my launch/pilot episode talking about what it means to "Be the Sunshine". Just as a sunflower follows the sun for energy, be that person who people go to when they need energy- spread positivity and being the sunshine. P.s. The motto was originally used by the Dutch Republic. It was derived from the Latin phrase concordia res parvae crescunt ("small things flourish by concord"), used in the Bellum Iugurthinum of Roman Republican writer Sallust. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bethesunshinebrf/message
