If you've ever heard me talk about Superconsumers, SuperGeos, or why you should Name, Frame, and Claim your new category - all of that thinking comes from today's guest, one of my heroes: Eddie Yoon.Eddie is one of the world's leading thinkers on category design. He's a longtime Harvard Business Review contributor, co-founder of Category Pirates (a top Substack you must subscribe to), and has spent decades advising Fortune 100 companies on how to create new categories instead of just fighting for scraps of market share.I've studied Eddie's work obsessively for years because he doesn't just teach marketing - he teaches thinking. AND in this conversation, we jam together (riffing on ideas, building on each other's thoughts) about why everything you've learned in marketing strategy is likely wrong. We talk about K-pop Demon Hunters, how Nespresso and Gillette grew massive categories, and why breakthrough categories don't come from better features or nicer packaging - they come from deeply understanding what outcomes your super consumers are looking for. This episode is PACKED with real-life brand examples: Velveeta, Keurig, Tesla, Spam Musubi, frozen peas, and more. Eddie brings category design to life with stories that will completely change how you think about growing your business.Next Steps: Go find your K-pop moment, your Velveeta insight, your frozen peas problem - that's where exponential growth lives! In This Episode You'll Learn:Why 99% of CPG brands are playing the wrong game - stealing market share vs. growing categories, and why the biggest companies are least likely to create new categoriesBenefits are dead, outcomes are everything - The Velveeta $100M growth story: how solving one super consumer outcome (getting kids to eat greens) unlocked massive growthThe power of super consumers & super geos - Why you should hire your super consumers, and the shocking Cherry Garcia data: 3,000 of 30,000 stores drove 80% of salesLightning strike marketing - How to turn a £60K budget into £600K of impact (the Dude Wipes strategy of keeping 75% of marketing unplanned)Don't be afraid to niche down - Why 99% of experts are wrong when they say you're leaving people behindUseful linksConnect with Eddie Yoon on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/eddie-yoon-ewg/Connect with Category Pirates on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/category-pirates/https://www.categorypirates.com/https://www.youtube.com/@categorypiratesMentioned in This Episode: Books & Frameworks:Competitive Strategy by Michael PorterSuperconsumers by Eddie YoonClayton Christensen's "Jobs to Be Done" (milkshake example)Byron Sharp (mentioned as conventional wisdom)Mentioned in This Episode: Brands & Case Studies:Gillette (China market expansion)Keurig vs. Starbucks VerismoNespressoVelveetaBen & Jerry's Cherry GarciaSpam & Spam Musubi (Hawaii)TeslaNvidiaK-pop Demon Hunters (Netflix)Dude WipesRogaineRoyal CaninAnheuser-Busch============================================================Thanks to Brand Growth Heroes' podcast sponsor - Joelson, the commercial law firm=============================================================If you're a founder, you already know how much of your energy goes into building the perfect product, creating standout branding and connecting with your consumers. But don't forget that scaling a CPG business also comes with a maze of legal complexities that can make or break your business journey. In this episode, I chat with Krysta about her sisters-only land and sea trip that combined Disney World and a Disney Cruise on the Fantasy. They stayed at the BoardWalk, used Lightning Lanes at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom, and sailed to Lookout Cay and Nassau with plenty of adult-area time and a Remy's brunch. There's an argument that has gone around for decades and it revolves around the idea of how much worship music do we need? Do we have enough? On the one hand, yes, we have more worship music than we'll ever be able to use in our Sunday morning services. And there's also the argument that worship music is the most lucrative music in Christian music. I don't think that can be debated. So while there are business and industry incentives to make worship music that will always exist at the intersection of Christianity and industry, what is the biblical perspective? What does the Bible teach us about singing, songwriting, and corporate worship? Trip Lee is a hip hop artist, a preacher, a rapper, an author…and he's released a worship album. I appreciate Trip and his commitment to God's Word. We talk about the power of worship music, why we need more cultural expressions of it, and how worship music should be viewed as a tool of discipleship. We also talk about culture and Christianity, racial tension, and how we should think about the division in the church right now. Trip is awesome and this conversation was a joy. This is David Santistevan and you can reach me anytime at david@beyondsundayworship.com. As always thank you for listening. Topics Covered: Trip’s story of coming to faith in Christ The influence of church music on Tripp’s music Musical and theological influences Why Tripp decided to make a worship album The intersection of culture and church Why it can be challenging to partner together across racial and cultural lines Resources Mentioned: Show Sponsor: Planning Center For Your Glory EP by Trip Lee & Brag Worship Brag Worship Show Sponsor: This episode is sponsored by Planning Center, an all-in-one church management software made to help churches help people. You can organize your ministries and keep everyone on your team communicating and aligned around what's going on. As a worship leader, good communication is key to building a strong worship team. You can cultivate relationships while ensuring everyone has what they need to successfully prep for your services. But why not take it up a notch using the chat feature? Built right into the Services mobile app—which, by the way, you should totally download if you haven't already—chat helps you coordinate all the service details with your team. Plus, you can have fun while doing it! No more juggling emails, group texts, and multiple apps to ensure your whole team is aligned. Chat will simplify your communication in one convenient place through the Services mobile app. And everyone can ask questions, request prayer, or join the banter in real-time with one another. The really cool part about chatting with your teams? Team members are dynamically added or removed from conversations as availability changes! So if your original bass player suddenly declines (why is it so hard to find a bass player, anyway?), your newly scheduled bass player is automatically added to the chat conversation. All of your chat conversations stay in sync. No more outdated group threads or irrelevant messages! So what are you waiting for? Download the Services app and start chatting! Welcome back to Boss Bitch Radio. This episode is a little different… and a little spicy! We're talking about intimacy, communication, body image, and why sometimes you just don't feel "in the mood" - even when you love your partner. This conversation is pulled straight from one of my live coaching calls inside Healthy & Hot, and I brought in therapist Leanne Wagner to go deep with us. We cover everything from Valentine's Day ideas to improving sexual intimacy in long-term relationships, and yes… we talk about foreplay, scheduling sex, and why grabbing your butt is not always the move. If you've ever struggled with body confidence and intimacy, or felt frustrated that your partner doesn't understand what actually turns you on, this episode will hit home. German engineers Bea Höbenreich and Helmut Koch set out to prove that real motorcycle adventure isn't about horsepower or gear—it's about mindset. From Australia's punishing outback to Cape York's legendary Old Telegraph Track, they battled bike drownings, deep sand, brutal creek crossings, and relentless headwinds on the smallest machines in the landscape.

Getreu ihrer Losung «If you're not angry, then you're not paying attention» wird draufgehauen. Valentine Caulfields Stimme ist dabei das zentrale Element und sorgt dafür, dass die Aufmerksam nicht der Überforderung weicht. Was für ein Trip. Grossartig! Untanzbar!

In October 1976, 16-year-old Trenny Gibson boarded a school bus in Knoxville, Tennessee, expecting a routine day. Instead, her horticulture class was taken on a rainy hike into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park without warning. Unprepared and uneasy, Trenny borrowed a jacket from a fellow student. By mid-afternoon, she was gone. One moment she was on the trail, the next she had vanished. Nearly 50 years later, her disappearance remains unsolved. Questions linger about suspicious behaviour, missing evidence, and why the case quietly faded from view. In this episode, we speak with podcast hosts Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna about their investigation into the haunting mystery of Trenny Gibson. This week on The Whiskey Trip Podcast, Big Chief sits down with Emiliano A. C. Guajardo, Head Distiller at Still Austin Whiskey Co., and Samantha Olvera, Distiller at Garrison Brothers Distillery, for a conversation that runs far deeper than what's in the glass. This episode is about whiskey, yes, but it is also about identity, roots, and the Mexican and Hispanic heritage that helped shape Texas long before bourbon ever flowed through oak. Emiliano and Samantha share their personal journeys, family stories, and what it means to carry that heritage proudly while helping shape the future of Texas whiskey. Throughout the conversation, all three sip on multiple expressions from both Still Austin and Garrison Brothers, using each pour as a doorway into deeper discussion about craftsmanship, patience, place, and the responsibility that comes with putting your name and culture behind a bottle. Big Chief guides the conversation through culture, history, and responsibility, what it means to represent not just a brand, but a people, a legacy, and a future generation watching from behind the scenes. They talk about breaking barriers, honoring those who came before them, and how Texas whiskey is finally telling its full story, in its own voice. The glasses are filled, the laughs are honest, and the moments are real. This is not a surface level interview. It is a reminder that whiskey has always been about more than grain and barrel, it is about who you are, where you come from, and what you choose to pass on. Pour one, slow down, and Take the Ride. This is a conversation worth hearing all the way through.
