In September 2013 journalist turned blogger Bogonko Bosire DISAPPEARED. Because this was not the first time he went 'missing in action' his friends and family did not think much of it. They assumed he was pursuing a story. However, they were anxious when he didn't turn up for days after the country was engulfed in a shocking terrorist attack, the Westgate Mall terror attack. Anxious because this is the kind of story that he would be breaking. #CaseNumberZero is an investigation of Bogonko Bosire's disappearance, with interviews conducted between 2015 and 2020. We speak to friends and family, examining the life of Bogonko Bosire while piecing together clues of what might have happened to him. We explore various theories by his friends and family. Some to date believe that he escaped the country, while others speculate that he is in the ICC protection unit and worst of all some believe he was murdered.

    There was no strategy in the search for Bogonko. The family reported the matter to the Industrial Area Police station. The detectives at the industrial area gave the impression that they were committed to do their utmost best in finding Bogonko. On the other hand, Bogonko's friends expected that his connection to the powers that be, meant that he would be found. Crucial time that could have been used in strategizing the search for Bogonko had been spent in pressuring the police and Dennis Itumbi to produce him.
