On Easter Sunday, April 3, 1994, 18-year-old Heidi Marie Allen vanished from the D&W Convenience Store in New Haven, New York, where she was working alone as a cashier, with her last transaction recorded at 7:42 a.m. and the store found abandoned shortly after 7:50 a.m. despite money and personal items left behind. The case was ruled a forcible abduction rather than a robbery, prompting extensive searches involving police, military units, and volunteers, but her body has never been found. The disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, has shaken the true crime community and raised urgent questions as investigators enter day 15 with no confirmed sighting of the missing woman. What began on February 1st as a routine evening out with family has now escalated into a complex missing person investigation involving unidentified DNA, a federally seized Range Rover, and disturbing new physical evidence.Nancy Guthrie was reportedly dropped off at her home after dinner with her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tomasso. Surveillance confirms she entered through the garage, and her pacemaker remained connected to its monitoring device until approximately 2:00 a.m., when it abruptly disconnected. Pacemakers typically lose connection due to distance from the monitor, raising serious investigative concerns about her movements after that time.Now, breaking news reveals that DNA found inside the home does not match family members or close associates. This development could represent a critical forensic breakthrough — or it could prove unrelated. Authorities are carefully processing the evidence through a specialized Florida forensic lab known for touch DNA analysis.Adding to the mystery, federal agents executed a search warrant on a home roughly two miles away, detaining three individuals who were later released. A Range Rover was removed from the property under a separate federal warrant and transported on a flatbed truck, reportedly tarped due to heavy rain that could compromise potential DNA or fingerprint evidence. The fact that probable cause was established to seize the vehicle signals investigators believe it may hold evidentiary value.Further complicating the case, gloves were discovered along a roadway near Nancy's home.
