In this episode, I will be discussing the significance of onboarding and offboarding processes in coaching programs. I want to highlight the role of onboarding in setting the client's experience, communicating expectations, and gathering information. I will provide tips for effective onboarding and emphasize the need for an offboarding process to conclude the coaching relationship and obtain client feedback. I will also talk about the importance of both positive and negative feedback and suggest ways to maintain contact post-coaching. REFERRALS COME FROM THOSE WHO PAY. THE PERSON PAYING FEELS OWNERSHIP AND ARE WANTING OTHERS TO HAVE WHAT THEY NOW OWN.When we give product of services for free, there is not a sense of ownership. Without a sense of ownership, then there are not referrals. For a sale to happen, there must be a transfer of ownership. Along with this transfer of ownership comes a transfer of value. When we don't transfer value, then there is no real transfer of ownership. Why is it important for the transfer of ownership in sales? The receiving party MUST feel that they own what is now in their possession. If there is no ownership transfer, then the receiving party does not feel what they are receiving is actually theirs. This allows them to freely give it up when they face complications. The receiver feels that they can adapt what they are receiving to make it work when things get difficult. What is an appropriate transfer of value?Easiest form of transfer is money.Trading services can be done but putting an equal value becomes more difficult.Hardest form of transfer is a future payment. What are we missing on this list? Life can change in a flash, focus on what gives you meaning! We are all producers of our own story. Jonathan Bogner went from selling Hollywood films to a heart transplant, a man whose resilience and reinvention offer powerful lessons on embracing life's fragility. Jonathan's journey will take us from the bustling floor of his pre-to-post-production office, housing a team of 30, through a heart-wrenching battle with English and intonation after a stroke, to the heights of E television, where he and his son's show idea comes to life, revealing years of reality show success. In a tale that seems scripted for the silver screen, Jonathan shares his life-altering experience of heart failure, the rush to the hospital with pulmonary edema, and the miraculous gift of a heart transplant, complete with its complex emotional and physical aftermath. Dealing with a donor's preexisting condition, significant weight loss, and muscle atrophy, he is supported by his wife, who transitions from a legal career to becoming his full-time caregiver. Amidst these personal trials, Jonathan's perspective on life takes a profound turn. He meditates on the daily impact of living with a new heart and the importance of mentorship and imparting wisdom to future generations. He emphasizes the power of support, the significance of a loving upbringing, and the essential nature of building a global community of kindness, even in a world that's often in turmoil. As Jonathan recounts the heartwarming stories from his Hollywood career, finding emotional fulfillment in family and sports movies, and producing a deeply affecting show about addicts and animals, we hear echoes of the show's theme - love, family, and meaningful living. We'll examine the delicate balance between work and home life, the categorization of friendships, and the ongoing personal evolution one must undertake. Crucial to his story is the maintenance of health through regular exercise, the avoidance of substance abuse, and cherishing each moment of life itself. Jonathan also shares his future aspirations, such as his desire to positively shape his community by eyeing a park commissioner role. So, grab your headphones and prepare to be inspired by Jonathan's wit, wisdom, and undying positivity. It's time to discover how the power of a good family, strong friendships, and a tenacious spirit can redefine the fabric of life. A conversation about the importance of community and being social anchored in healthy relationships.
Ivona Hirschi had me on her podcast to talk about leadership. Here is her LinkedIn Bio:
A well-crafted story can fuel connection. It can inspire trust and entertain. Better still, it can have a ripple effect. Yet most of us avoid telling stories. Instead, we stick to the facts and emphasize the data. Now, even if we believe this is the best way to convey information, our brains, if they could talk, would disagree. That's why, if we want to connect, persuade, or just keep our audience's attention, we need to get better at storytelling. That's why I wanted to speak with Karen Eber, author of the book, The Perfect Story: How to Tell Stories That Inform, Influence, and Inspire. Karen not only explains why stories matter, she also explains how to craft them. Every section of this book is filled with takeaways you can immediately put into practice. It's a book I'll return to again and again. The worldwide surge in start-up culture, from venture capital and angel investors to equity structures and fundraising rounds, has transformed business today. But why have so many well-funded start-ups—like FTX and Theranos—imploded in a cloud of scandal? In this episode of the Principled Podcast, host Susan Divers discusses the role of ethics in start-up companies with Tammy Mah-Fraser, an executive director for Alberta Innovates, and Shai Dubey, an assistant professor and distinguished faculty fellow at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University Ontario. Listen in as the three examine how entrepreneurs, investors, and funders can better integrate ethics and compliance at the beginning of their business endeavors. Isaac and Angie Tolpin give a transformative tip to parents that will change their view of the moments their child disobeys them, motivating them to respond in a healthy biblical way that points them to Jesus. There are a lot of opinions amongst Christian parents about how to best discipline their children, but every parent must do these two steps first. Unfortunately without taking these two steps first, which is too common, the long-term relationship could be hurt and they may disdain authority in their life later on, which could include God. All show notes, scripture references, and resources mentioned are found at courageousparenting.com.
