Curriculum Club Community Poetry

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 9, 2020 2:26

This is a beautiful community writing piece from the 2020-21 launch. We wrote a poem in the Zoom chat, working together, using a strategy called Community Poetry. It was based on what everyone wrote into the chat during some Private Think Time, during which they were writing about the most surprisingly-deep conversation their students have ever been able to conduct in the language. When time was up, everyone hit "send" in the chat box, and we took a minute to read over everyone's responses, chose 5-6 words from someone's response, wrote them into the chat with nothing else mixed in, and then Curriculum Club Coach Tiffany volunteered to read the words. She did a very powerful job. People were touched. I know I was.
