He co-founded LivHOME in 1999, a professionally-led, home care company. Steve is going to share with us tips and insights on creating more successful conversations with seniors about at-home care 

Technology is changing the aging landscape by providing "reinforcements" for aging in place.  My guest William Miska is the founder of Telehealth, which provides 24/7 "vital healthcare and safety monitoring" products and solutions for seniors.  We are going to be discussing the benefits and limitations of these new technologies, the scope of services, and what's on the horizon.  This program will be of special interest to Boomers in terms of their aging parents but more importantly in terms of their own aging in place strategy.

Even with Beth’s management background and extensive knowledge of products and services available for seniors; it is still challenging to get nine siblings to agree and to communicate in a loving way options to their parents.  Let’s see how Beth and her siblings have overcome some of these challenges and teach us how they learned to work as an effective team.  Beth and her business partner, Sheryl Hunter JD, CEO and Co-founder have an e-book coming out this fall on the up and coming careers that are available for professionals that want to serve seniors.               

My guest Tim Tosta is a cancer survivor, a seasoned hospice volunteer, and executive coach to the legal and business communities.  He is the author of #DEATH tweet, Book 02- 140 Perspectives on Being a Supportive Witness to the End of Life.   We are going to be discussing his new book that was written to help individuals, families and friends at the end of a loved one’s life.  It is intended to relieve some of the suffering, to address the fears and uncertainties, and to reveal some of the extraordinary gifts bestowed at the end of life process. 

  Falls are a “clear and present danger” to our aging parents.  My guest, Rein Tideiksaar Ph.D., PA-C is the president of FallPrevent, LLC, a consulting company that provides educational, legal and marketing services related to fall prevention in the elderly.  We will be discussing the causes and impact of falls in the elderly as well as pracitical strategies to prevent them.  We will be answering the following questions: Where do falls among older adults most frequently occur?  What are the major risk factors for falls? How can caregivers make the home safe for elders? What kinds of exercise reduce the risk of falling ? All aging parents are at risk for falls.  This show offers listeners insights and practical advice on how to prevent them.
