Desire to Inspire podcast is a podcast created to be an encouragement, give advice, have conversations, and motivate. Don't let the "college edition" scare you away. I, Krizia Williams, am just a college student with a desire to inspire. This podcast is designed for any and everyone who has a dream or is sad or feels lost in the sauce. I'm here for you, just give it a listen!
Do you invest in yourself? What do you do, get, or partake in that makes you happy or is best for you? I started my therapy journey my junior year in college; too late if you ask me but better late than never. Throughout this journey, a lot has happened that hurt, like losing certain friends. But the growth that I have and will go through outweighs the sacrifices and the hurt of letting things and people go. Therapy in the title is just an example of how I invested in myself for the bettering of me. This episode is about my throughs on investing in one-self and how it's time for YOU and ME to be a little selfish and do so. Investing in yourself can be a very scary thing to do, but it is essential when growing. I want this episode to empower you to feed into those things that make you happy, grow you in your individuality, better your future, and more. Right now I am struggling a bit, I don't want to lie to any of you. With five summer courses split into two small semesters, two jobs, and regular life situations sometimes it feels like I am drowning. Perseverance has been the key! This episode is all about how I am coping with everything and how recently things have really been about focusing on graduation and making money to make ends meet. As many shall know or may not know I am a senior at Texas Tech University. I major in journalism and minor in creative media industries, along with working to receive a certificate in entertainment media. In this episode I go into depth about why I am journalism major, specifics about the major, high school flash backs, and my process for finding out what is the right fit as far as majors go. My goal for this episode is for my audience to get to know my school life a little better; along with helping those in college, going to college, even younger students, or even parents understand that college is a journey not a destination. My world feels like it's been shaken. Between the Black Lives Matter Movement, summer school starting, work, and the pandemic still lingering; sometimes if feels hard to catch my breath. This episode is a discussion about the Black Live Matter Movement and my feels and thoughts about what is going on right now. Looking at the history of the African American community and the mirroring effect it has on the world right now tests my hope. We have to hang in there and unite to see the changes we have being striding towards for generations. Donate, sign petitions, peacefully protest, be present, education yourself, and stand for what you believe in. Together we can do this!
Do you want to stop thinking about Monday's as being a drag? I promise I can help out with that. This episode is unpacking three points of positivity towards Monday being one of the best days of the week. I am so excited to share my thoughts how to set up your week for greatness. In college (and many situations in life) Monday can be something negative or a choice, but what if it's not. What if the best productivity comes out of Monday? If no one has told you today....let me be the first. "I believe in you." Hello everyone and welcome to the Desire to Inspire podcast! This is something I have wanted to pursue for a little while and the time has come. I want this first episode to be an intro or as the title says "syllabus day." Syllabus day in college is the first day of classes where the professors go over what the class is going to be about and the goals they have for their students in the course. That is exactly what I wanted to get across to YOU. I am very excited to see where this podcast goes. Thank you so much for listening and your support.Instagram: desiretoinspire_collegelifeitsyagirl_krizia_Twitter: _ItsKRIZIA_
