We discuss what happened, NHRC's deficient investigation & the findings of a recent report titled "The Dismantling of Minority Education: Police Violence at Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia" released by Citizens Against Hate which argues that these acts constitute cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment as per the international law on torture.
