While David was running from King Saul, he was in the Wilderness of Judea. To survive, he needed to find water and safety. He found both in the area of En Gedi.

During the ministry of Jesus, He would often be surrounded by people. Consequently, He often found Himself wanting to be alone to meditate and to pray. When He was in the vicinity of Jerusalem, He would usually stay in Bethany. Why? That is what we will be discussing in today's program.

When Matthew records Peter's confession in Matthew 18, he made the decision to include the location where this took place. Why? Well, there is a pretty good reason. And that is what we will be discussing in this program.

As the nation of Israel was about to begin their conquest of the Promised Land, they had one barrier to cross...the Jordan River. How were they able to do this? Joshua 3 gives us some insight into how this occurred. This is what we will be discussing on today's program.

In Psalm 125, the writer draws a beautiful connection between the mountains around Jerusalem and the love and protection God provides to His people. But to completely understand the meaning of what the psalmist wrote, you need to have a full understanding of the geography of Jerusalem. That is what we will be discussing on this program.

In 1 Samuel 12, Samuel speaks to the nation of Israel. At the end of his speech, he asks God for a sign and immediately thunder and rain appear. The scriptures then say that "the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel". Why is that? Well, knowing a little bit about the geography of Israel will help you to answer that question.
