Judgment Day. The Great White Throne Judgment. The Lake of Fire burning with brimstone. That’s what Revelation 20:11-15 is about. The truth is, I don’t like fire and brimstone. Most people would agree. So why is this in the Bible? Listen and find out in Revelation 20:11-15: “I Don’t Like Fire and Brimstone”.
True Grit is about not giving up in the face of opposition and suffering – and God has a specific grace that He gives us to empower us to not give up when we face suffering. True Grit happens because you’re grateful Jesus died for you, you see the people He died for as worth sacrificing for, and you’re trusting His grace to empower you. With that mindset nothing can stop you.
True Family is about aligning your heart with the grace of Jesus, so you can relate to each other with a submitted, gentle, quiet spirit. It’s not about threats. A good marriage can’t be forced. A good marriage looks like grace. And grace looks like kindness. Gentleness. Mutual submission to each other.
There’s a lifestyle in Christ that is true – and there’s a lifestyle that people who are Christians sometimes live – that’s not true – it’s false. There is no substitute for time spent in the presence of God. When you’re in God’s presence He aligns your heart with His heart. That’s what has to happen, to be able to live True Life. True Life is about aligning your heart with Jesus, so you can live for Jesus and live for the people Jesus died for.
1 Peter 1:10-25. Grace is God's power, and faith is how we gain access to God's power. 1 Peter is full of commands, but God’s commands aren’t a burden – they’re an adventure. Everything God commands He empowers in you through faith. In Jesus you have the true faith from God that is a Privilege, it’s Particular, it’s Precious, it’s Predicted, it Purifies you, and it’s Permanent - it’ll never change.
True Grace is more than forgiveness - are you living in the power of the True Grace of Jesus?
