This podcast was created as a part of the ENG 2D1 curriculum at Mary Ward CSS. Our program is dedicated to addressing the topics of interest of the students in our school community on both a local and international level. We hope that you enjoy it.
In our epic season one finale, David, Philip, Leo and Jason discuss the wild world of sports and what exactly constitutes a sport. From toe wrestling to extreme ironing, how will these students view the "sports" in question?
Jo and guests discuss the struggles of the Montreal Canadiens. Not going to lie, this episode made me happier than it should have. Go Leafs Go!
Liliana reviews that script for Stephen Gregg's one act play "This is a Test". This play deals with the stress and anxiety experienced by high school students prior to a big test (something that none of you have ever felt before, right?)
What's good fam? Khandeepan and Andre link up to talk about the true story from time of getting curved by some sav shorty. U dun kno! So tun up cuz we want bare subscribers, ahlie? (As an English teacher, writing this description pained me more than I can express.)
Following Mary Ward's first ever homecoming event, Jillian, Jennifer, and Elle report on the basketball game, the performances, the crowd, and the post-game controversy.
Keja and Vicky invite two straight males to discuss their interpretations of song lyrics written and performed by queer artists.
Amanda and Freya debate the merits of the K-Pop musical genre. Is it as great many people seem to think? One says BT-Yes!, while the other says EX-No!
Student film critics, Aaross, Jaycee, Ganannan, and Ivan, discuss the films coming out in 2018 that are on their radar. From Marvel's "Infinity War" to "Hotel Transylvania 3", these students have an opinion for everything.
Mark, Tonya, and Vincent debate about which culture produces the tastiest dishes. Surprisingly, nobody mentioned my Irish heritage and the delicious meals that they are known for. Mmm, blood pudding.
In our pilot episode, Hannah and Hailie will take us inside the life of a Mary Ward student and explain what makes our school so special and challenging. In part two, Lianne, Maryanne and Christine will then delve into their experiences with our Invigor8 project and decide whether they felt like it was a success.
A quick introduction of what our show is all about. Next week, we will hear from the students for the first time. We hope that you will join us.
