Soy una persona de fe. La fe me ayuda mucho en el trabajo y el trabajo me ayuda mucho en la fe; hay un círculo virtuoso entre ambas. Creo profundamente que cada uno tiene un propósito. En mi caso, emprender es el mío. Y ese propósito no depende del ámbito: no hace falta estar en una ONG, en la iglesia o en la política para generar impacto. También se puede hacer desde el sector privado o desde cualquier trabajo, siempre que sea deliberado. El impacto que podemos generar desde una empresa es enorme. Y si eso implica quemarse un poco, para mí vale la pena. Vale la pena darlo todo, pero también disfrutar, porque disfrutar es parte del propósito. Cuando uno deja de disfrutar, deja de generar el impacto que quiere.¿Esto fue así toda tu vida o hubo un momento en que entendiste que el éxito no se mide solo por el resultado financiero?Si uno mide el impacto únicamente por lo económico, se desilusiona rápido. Emprender no es genial todos los días.No es un camino de rosas.No. Ocho de cada diez días son malos. Si el motor es solo el dinero, uno abandona. Es como entrenar: muchas veces no tenés ganas, pero el objetivo está más allá del día a día. Lo económico no puede ser el único motor.¿Tu fe influyó en decisiones importantes como vender la compañía o volver a Argentina?En mi caso, todo está vinculado a eso. Volver al país tiene que ver con las raíces, con honrar lo que me dio. Con mi socio decidimos no trabajar para el sector público por una cuestión ética, aunque económicamente convenía. Las empresas deben ser rentables, claro, pero no es el valor principal. La fe me sostuvo en momentos de presión, cuando dan ganas de tirar la toalla, cuando hay tensiones familiares. Es una ayuda suprarracional para equilibrar.¿Cómo definís el éxito?Para mí, el éxito terrenal es dejar un legado a mis hijas y aportar, aunque sea un granito de arena, al país, al continente y al mundo. Tal vez no vea ese resultado, pero construir algo que trascienda generaciones es éxito. Y en lo espiritual, éxito es conocer profundamente a Dios.¿Qué consejos le dejarías a los emprendedores?Primero, aprender a disfrutar el camino. Más que perseguir sueños idealizados, enfocarse en hacer algo muy bien hasta terminar encontrando placer en eso, incluso si al principio no resulta tan disfrutable. Emprender no siempre es fácil, pero cuando desarrollás maestría, empezás a divertirte en el proceso. Segundo, rodearte de personas que te inspiren y te impulsen a crecer. Buscar mentores y referentes que, incluso en contextos difíciles, te recuerden que sí es posible y te desafíen a preguntarte: ¿por qué no?
