Psalm 91 speaks to the protection we receive from God, the rest He gives us...a blessed assurance during an uncertain time. During this very uncertain time in our world's history, we can rest on the assurance of a very certain and known God.
As we wrap up this series on Community, Davis Howell, our student pastor, shares a message encouraging each of us to help to be the community we want to see, the community Jesus calls us to create.
Ephesians 4:3-4 says, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called." As we work to be the community God has called us to be, we need to put on humility, gentleness, and peace with one another.
Jesus calls us to foster a community of believers, with Him as the source of the community. He sustains us, encourages us, and pours into us so we can pour out to others. John 15:5 says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me." Stay connected to the vine.

As we continue our study of Acts, we discuss the New Testament church and how we can be the church God has called us to be. We also were blessed to have The Color, a praise & worship band from Canada, lead us in worship this Sunday.
This month, we will be focusing on the book of Acts as Jesus' disciples worked to create the first church and live out the Great Commission, spreading the gospel far and wide. This week, we focus on Acts 1 & 2 and discuss the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
In his final sermon as the Senior Pastor at Lakeside Church, Jay Thompson shares a message taken from Joshua 1 in which he helps us learn how to prepare for our next pastor.
Joshua 6 gives us a powerful example of OBEDIENCE. God promised victory before the battle had even been fought, but God's military strategy was a bit unorthodox - march and music. Learn what true obedience looks like through the battle at Jericho.
Matthew 22:34-40 is sometimes referred to as The Jesus Creed, wherein Jesus gives the greatest command, to "love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." He continues by saying the second is to "love your neighbor as yourself". This week, we unpack the second part of The Jesus Creed, and talk about who our neighbors are and how we can love them like God loves us.
