Life Without Consequence is an science fiction novel in the form of an audiobook posing as a podcast. Weekly episodes that tell the story of Parker Ludere and Benj Cave, two friends on the less desirable side of a near future economic gulf. They think all their problems are solved when they stumble upon a cell phone that turns out to be a teleporter! Sadly, nothings that simple and the two old friends might their work cut out for them. It’s 2076 and things aren’t great. World War 3 has left the world in the kind of shape where even the hyper-wealthy can’t get their hands on something as simple as coffee. Air quality is low, crime is high, and everyone with enough money to move up from street level has taken residence in high-rise community towers. The ads say they’re the only places where the life feels a little like it used to. It sounds great, but it's not the kind of place where the Parker’s and Benj’s of the world fit in. It’s not that they’re bad people, they’re just accustomed to the certain freedoms provided by the slums of Las Vegas. When their new teleporter presents them with a morally questionable opportunity to alleviate their financial woes, the two friends decide it’s worth the risk. Things quickly spiral dangerously out of control, and as the teleporter reveals more of its secrets, Parker and Benj only seem to find themselves in deeper trouble.
What happens after everything happens. This is the last episode in this series. The conclusion to book one... is there a book 2? yes. but it's going to be a little while before that is out. Thank you so much for listening to a thing i made!

There were some small technical difficulties at the end of episode 6 that apparently persist through the beginning of this episode. They fix themselves pretty quickly. Welcome to part two of this strange little story. This is where things start getting a little sadder... and much weirder.
After the events of last week, i think we all need to sit down and take a breather. Visit Patreon.com/daveyfrancis to get 2 new episodes. Returning with episode 8 next monday! thanks for everything, you guys are the best!
*Early upload due to me having to leave town for a few days. My pain is your gain. The title says it all. Every action has a reaction. These four chapters are rough and i genuinely struggled with the reading of this weeks cliffhanger. There's a weird glitch during the end theme that i recommend sticking around for.
This episode covers chapters 16 & 17. I think they're a lot of fun, especially given whats coming up next...oh shit, i may have said too much.
Finally! The teleporter looks like it's going to do something that acutally helps Parker and Benj. Fate might have something to say about that though.
In this episode, everyone's having a bad day. Nina's having a shit day at work because of Parker, Benj is having shit day at home because of Parker, and Parker is having having a shit day... with mostly just himself to blame. Hmm, i smell a theme.
Parker and Benj try to figure out exactly what the device is, and is not capable of. If the events of episode one are any indication, there is collateral damage.
Episode 1 of the Life Without Consequence podcast. This episode covers chapters 1 - 4 of the novel.
