Welcome to the Social Experiment. We live to explore. Vivere|Amare| Godere
After going through the several stages of grief and procrastination, I am finally back for good. To compensate for being away for so long, I’m back with a lot of tales. This one in particular, promised me permanent residence in Canada, in exchange for marriage. It is of course, one of the many creative ways Yoruba men lie. Listen to my story, rate it and learn from me on why you shouldn’t give your number to strangers. As far as I’m concerned, ‘how we met vs how it’s going’ is just a myth. Okay, I’m talking too much already, just listen. Xo
One of the most important things you can do for your mental health is meditation. Finding a space for mindfulness helps us both in challenging times and moments of celebration. On this episode, I’ll be giving out some words of encouragement and positivity that you can practice for those times when you are feeling low. It happens to the best of us but it doesn’t make us any less amazing
Where have I been? What’s the next step? Why am I single? When will I have a pot brownie? Vital questions I address in this podcast. Enjoy
Hey there! How’s your detty December going? I don’t know about you but all the money I’ve spent in traffic this month is enough for me to flex at home. On this podcast episode, i’ll be talking about the scam within concerts. I mean, vip and regular tickets are practically the same thing. Neither party gets food
This is no attack hun. Everybody has new year goals or resolutions. At the beginning of 2019, a lot of us probably had a long list we were swearing by. How much of it were you able to accomplish? Were you able to step out of your comfort zone this year? What would you do differently? Which of the goals would spill over into 2020?
When do I get to meet my Shrek? Can somebody please tell him I'm getting tired of waiting?? Fiona needs some love
I’m trying to be a good example. Let’s be goal partners. By the end of this year, i want to publish at least 50 podcast episodes with 5000 total listens. That can only happen with consistency. Regardless of whatever happens. Just a side note; I am finally open to collaborations so you can hit me up on instagram to discuss a possible date for us to work together. Adios for now
Thank you so much for helping me hit a thousand total plays. I love you guys. I’m down with a cold but I couldn’t resist dishing you the gist on my last mainland girl encounter. One of these days, I’ll swear off buses. This sweet girl wants to bath in milk, not spit. Listen and find out what I mean
A question just popped in my head. If you can’t marry a pepper seller, how do you expect Dangote or prince Williams to marry you? I just can’t help but judge and wonder why my admirers are bike riders, pepper sellers, conductors. Is there something on my forehead I’m not seeing? I like to believe I’m a spec though. But If yes, who knows where I can wash it off? Listen to my all new episode on my encounter with a pepper grinder
I’m used to seeing it in the movies. When it happened to me, I felt so judgmental so I have to ask. If you are courted by a commercial bus driver or bike rider, would you consider his offer? This and more in an all new mainland girl lagos escapade series
I’ve been running from episodes because I never find the right caption to capture your attention. So today i decided to be spontaneous. In this episode, I’m talking about how life’s like on a regular day commuting in Lagos. One of these days, I’d end up fighting with a bus driver. Say a short prayer for me. Send me a dm on instagram if you’d like to contribute @ayomiee__
Have you ever had something you wanted to say but it just stays locked up in your mind and you lose opportunities because of it? For this episode, i want to continue with our exercise. Just like the ‘ Say yes to 8 things’ challenge, there’s another challenge waiting for you in my latest podcast. My aim is that at the end of this year, you would be more open to life’s opportunities and wayyyy more confident to try them out. It would be really great for you to join me on this journey
This Episode is on exploring boundaries, actions with little thought. The idea is to be nicer to people by saying yes to 8 different things for a day. Nothing sexual obviously but by saying yes, you’re being more open to new thoughts and ideas. So have fun with it guys and let me know how it goes. Side note: This is one of the things on the agenda for my bucket list
This episode is about having something to remind yourself that your creative process is a process. I missed a week’s podcast because I became everything i said i wasn’t going to be this year at the sight of a slight difficulty. This made me revisit my goals board. Earlier on, i watched an episode from a tv series ‘ how i met your mother’. This episode talked about ‘ a letter to your ex’ so i tweaked it into a letter to myself. A letter to remind myself that this is the beginning, that this is a step and as i conquer inner demons, i’d conquer mountains as well. No light at the end of my tunnel? I’d bring flashlights along. Be a motivation to yourself if no one else would. #Tedtalks #Milennialgrowth #Futureaspirations
Accept who You are because You are going through a growth process. You do not need to be perfect to be successful. You define your own kind of beautiful. Albert Einstein tried 99 times. You’ve tried 10 times. Give it another shot Check out my new episode on the perfection quota today
Deep down, there’s this stupid idea or talent of yours that you can turn into a million dollar franchise but guess what? You still think its stupid while you’re applauding others for being brave enough to showcase their unique version of stupid and make money off it. Darling, sit down, drink water and review your future prospects. The future may be far away but the present is right here waiting for you to utilise it and make meaning out of it. This episode is a clarion call for you to wake up and start setting goals for your future. You can a fan of something but be a fan that has something to show for himself/herself.
This is an episode on finding courage. If today was your last day on earth, you would do all the things you’ve been piling up in your heart right? Well, you have that opportunity now. You’re just not making use of it. There are times when you just have to take a chance on some actions and live life like no one’s watching because in truth, no one cares.
In this episode, i dragged my friends out to visit a restaurant with our own buck
Welcome to Mainland Girl. If I sound like I have an accent, I DO NOT. I’m just a young WOMAN who is ready to explore what life has to offer. I would like for you to take that journey with me. Its not perfect but then when has perfection ever been interesting? Mainland Girl would feature movie reviews, music reviews, THE BUCKET LIST, diary sessions and gadget reviews( gadgets i know of anyway) . Do Listen without restrictions and love without boundaries. Thank you for taking out time to listen to my social experiment.
