A couple of years ago, Julia embarked on a solo hike along England's 630-mile South West Coast Path. Since then, she has cycled King Alfred's Way, a 217-mile mainly off-road cycle route in southern England, and walked the Camino Frances and Camino Portuguese! But Julia's adventures don't stop there. In between her travels, she's been busy writing about her experiences, hoping to inspire others to embrace their own bucket lists. During this process, she's discovered a love for hiking and is also writing walking guidebooks to encourage others to get outdoors and explore. Julia's story is a testament to the power of setting goals, pursuing your passions, and living life to the fullest. Occasionally fun, often interesting, and mostly peculiar, 80 for Brady does for old women what Last Vegas does for old men, but with half the stakes and one-third the jokes. Of course, the “old person” comedy has been in and out of cachet ever since George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg wore Groucho glasses in 1979's Going in Style, although has seen a big resurgence since 2007's The Bucket List (even a Going in Style remake in 2017).

This week, we have two stories about etymology. What can words teach us about culture, trade, memory, and the world around us? First up, which “orange” came about first: the fruit or the color? We also discuss the history of the term “bucket list” — a saying that is so embedded in our culture, we forget that it was only formally coined 16 years ago.
Bill spends the final hour of the show talking about the Kentucky Derby, bucket list sporting events, a time he was very drunk in New Orleans, Jordan Love, Garrett Mitchell's surgery, what we missed and moreSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#82 Raise your hand if you want sports-related bucket list ideas. In this episode of the Everyday Bucket List Podcast, we discuss 5 bucket list ideas to attend that revolve around sports. Even if you've never done it before, attending a sporting event can be an exhilarating experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the game and share in the excitement with fellow fans. It's a chance to witness the skill and talent of athletes up close and to appreciate the dedication and hard work that goes into their performance. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just enjoy the energy of a live event, attending a sporting event is a memorable experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. Maybe you even make a baseball bucket list, one for soccer, football, etc. Also, exploring sports-related interests can go beyond just attending live events. You can visit museums dedicated to sports, dine at special restaurants with sports themes, and participate in other related activities to deepen your knowledge and appreciation of your favorite sports. Maybe this will motivate you to find the best sporting events to attend, create a list of bucket list sports venues or just find any fun sporting events close to home. Brycen Cole is in the 8th Grade and is a Junior FFA Member at Roby High School in Roby, Texas. Ever since he discovered podcasts, he has wanted to be a guest on one. So, when he heard that I was going to be interviewing one of the high school FFA members at Roby, he proactively asked his advisor to ask me if he could come on the show. I like proactivity. I obliged. Brycen shows steers, plays three sports and is excited for the future. He told me that he is not sure what he will do, but he is certain that he will either be a basketball coach or an FFA advisor in the future. For now, he has his sights set on becoming an official FFA member next year and getting busy with everything that the FFA has to offer.
Host Mike Musto is an expert on road-tripping. He's crisscrossed the United States more than a dozen times, explored Canada, Mexico, and all over Europe in everything from a classic Dodge Charger to a full-blown motor coach. But what is that perfect vehicle, and more importantly, does it exist? On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ, Musto sits down with Ryan Douthit of Driving Sports TV to discuss the best and most reliable road trip vehicles that you can buy on a budget. They then talk about a correction in the used car market and even touch on attainable bucket list cars.
