Justice For Slaughterhouse workers?

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 13, 2020 20:48

Should there be justice for slaughterhouse workers or liberation for the animals inside? The discussion in this episode focuses on why the animals and only the animals are the true victims in the animal agriculture industries as well as other industries that abuse animals. Centering the message around the workers only continues to normalize what happens to the animals on the inside of these facilities and marginalizes their experience. This is another example of human centric ideas being a threat to the animal rights movement and decided to talk about it here.

In a time where the overwhelming majority focuses on Veganized recipes and the comfortable conversation of the how to be Vegan, we speak on the true importance of focusing on the why people should be Vegan. Being Vegan is not about other Vegans, and it's not about how much fun the lifestyle is, being Vegan is about breaking the consumer rate and supply chain of animal products in order to fuel animal liberation. The Biggest Threat To Animal Rights

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 13, 2020 47:52

This episode is about the biggest threat to the animal rights movement as well as something that adds to the stigma of being Vegan. We're talking about the new age intersectionality, the human centric ideology that seems to be taking over the one movement that is dedicated to solely the animals. This is the idea that animal rights is political or social, this is the idea that the animal rights movement must attach itself to every other movement even though those groups are not vegan and don't even take animal abuse seriously. The animals do no care who you vote for or about any other human issue they just want their suffering to stop and these ideas of intersectionality are only marginalizing them even further. Animal rights is not political, its not social and its absolutely not intersectional.

This episode is us exploring how we engage in these types of discussions and how to not get too emotionally charged up leading to combative communication or even how to simply not even entertain the hate and continue to focus on conveying the message of animal rights.

Vegetarianism Is A Cancer To Animal Rights

Lets talk Vegetariansim, Vegetarians are not allies to Veganism no matter how much they try to manipulate you to believe they are. You can not be an ally to a movement while contributing directly to what the movement is boycotting. Vegetarians are no different then any other non vegan and should be outreached in the same way. We wouldn't consider Paleo dieters our allies so what makes Vegetarians any different?

Ex-Vegans Were Never Vegan

With the recent news of Miley Cyrus and Mike Tyson no longer being Vegan as well as the other influencers were also started eating animals again, it is so important that we have open discussions about what Veganism is and what it is not. Outside of the fact that the Vegan movement seems to overly worship at the alter of celebrity, it needs to be addressed that there is no such thing as an Ex-Vegan. Veganism is rooted in animal rights and is an ethical stance of moral consistency, it is not a fad diet or something that you go on and off of. You would never see people do such with any other injustice so why would that apply here with the animals. Not having an informed relationship the food you eat is not a justification to have animals reduced to a meal, and these animals are the only victims in these situations where people try to victimize themselves.

Veganism Is Not About Loving Animals

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 7, 2020 25:00

Within the Vegan movement there tends to be this strong message about loving animals, the phrase friends not food being a prime example. This leads to this false correlation between Veganism and love or compassion. Being Vegan actually has nothing to do with how you feel about the animals, your likability does not dictate your rights and choosing not to have animals heads cut off for a sandwich does not make you compassionate. Being Vegan is a non action, you can be completely neutral and have no desire to connect with animals but still understand as well as respect their earth given right to live free of enslavement. Not everybody loves animals in the same way some of us do, so when the approach is lead with love it can deflate the overall message and the moral imperative of being Vegan.

Here is Vegans shouldn't push Health and Environment, health and environment only became such astronomic problems because humans just don't take animal abuse seriously so instead of making the focal point the symptoms the root cause must be addressed. Here is our perspective on this matter.
