Final episode in the series, I speak to another wonderful woman in STEM, Chelsea. Living in California, and working for the state military department, Chelsea gives us an insight in to life as an Environmental Scientist conserving and managing some very unique landscapes in California. If you are imagining elk, bald and golden eagles and snakes, then you are spot on! It's not all animal interactions, as you might guess this woman has skills in problem solving, negotiating, managing competing priorities and much more. Managing large areas of land with many unique habitats sounds challenging, amazing and rewarding. We speak about conservation, homesteading, science communication, and just a few of the many aspects of her job as an environmental scientist. Tune in and hear about some of the environmental conservation work that is occurring on the other side of the world (from Scotland at least).
