Episode 8 is about the decision making process in the selection of suitable and qualified candidates. Among the aspects discussed are determining the evaluation of the final score, the separating score as well as the approach to final selection decision making.
Episode 9 will cover the final matching of the candidate to the job and organisation. The contract of employment discussed takes into account the Employment Act 1955. The job offer process will also be discussed in depth.
Episode 1 discusses human resource planning activities. Other important subjects that are discussed in this topic are: identifying external influences, forecasting employee demand and supply and planning staffing activities related to a gap analysis.
Episode 3 introduces you to the meaning of staffing. In this topic, you will also study the staffing model, that is, the matching of individual/work and individual/organisation. At the end of Topic 3, the human resource model will be covered to show the position of staffing in human resource management.
Episode 4 is about internal recruitment. This topic will cover planning, strategy development, message selection and the appropriate mediums used to fulfil internal recruitment.
Episode 5 covers planning, recruitment strategy development and message selection along with the suitable mediums for external recruitment in greater detail.
Episode 6 discusses realistic recruitment and how it can be applied to overcome the ineffectiveness of traditional recruitment activities which are still widely used in many organisations. Other aspects highlighted are how to design and evaluate the effective use of realistic recruitment.
Episode 7 is about new employee selection and staffing. The topic discusses the preliminary preparations for the selection process and external and internal selection activities that an organisation can practise.
Episode 2 is about how external influences affect the staffing process. Economic situations, the labour market, workers unions, technology, government policy and globalisation are among the external influences that we will go through. All the above affect staffing.
