In November 2016 Victoria was hit with an anomaly known as Thunderstorm Asthma, this affected 14,000 people and killed 10. Microbiologist and Botanist Ed Newbigin along with Medical Advisor at the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services Danny Csutoros and Head of Weather and Environmental Prediction at the Bureau of Meteorology Beth Ebert give you an understanding of the thunderstorm asthma epidemic and what’s been done since.

Pollen season is something allergy sufferers need to be ready for, it always plays in the back of their mind and affects their day to day activities. Microbiologist and Botanist Ed Newbigin, with the help of Allergy Specialist Jo Douglass from the University of Melbourne, take us through the preparation, management and possible cures of our allergies.
