In our final episode, we reflect on what we've learned from hosting Queer Air, where we're going next, and what we hope listeners have gained from Season 2! In episode 4, Karen and Challen book club it up with the script of one of the last plays put on by Alice B. Theatre, a gay and lesbian theater company that operated from 1986-1997. The play is "Hidden History: True Stories from Seattle's Gay and Lesbian Elders," which is indeed based on five oral histories. Welcome to the final episode of Queer Air! Thank you so much for your support throughout this project, we really appreciate it. While this is the last episode for our capstone, stay tuned for any future projects involving the Queer Air subject material. During this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Geraldine V. Cole, a founding member of the Lesbian Mothers National Defense Fund. We chatted with Geraldine in her Seattle home and spoke about everything ranging from coming out stories to queer art, to Seattle's first pride festival in addition to the KRAB FM original broadcasts. Both Anne & Anna have previously worked with the KRAB FM Lesbian-Feminist Recordings, and they provide some great insight into the history and importance of this collection.
