Then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my chosen Son; listen to him." After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They fell silent and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen.

They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage.

Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood.

Jesus told him, "Go your way; your faith has saved you." Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.

There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us.

But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.

Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.

He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him.

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.

The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones.

For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.

If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

He said, “The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.”

This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.

“Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep."

“Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Thus shall you say to the Israelites: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.

I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.

Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.

Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were put around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.
