Tara exposes the growing crisis facing young Americans — a generation buried in debt, shut out of the job market, and rapidly losing faith in a system that promised them everything. With unemployment for ages 20–24 now surging above 9%, AI devouring entry-level work, and 80% of H-1B visas going to those same entry-level jobs, Tara explains why Gen Z men swung toward Trump harder than any group in 100 years… and why that support is now collapsing. From Nikki Haley's son sounding the alarm to Fox News finally admitting the numbers, Tara walks through the perfect storm pushing young voters toward whoever promises relief — whether it's Trump, or a socialist “strongman” waiting in the wings. This is the political fault line both parties fear, and Tara lays it out with brutal clarity.

PREVIEW Scott Winship examines whether rising immigration has negatively impacted the upward momentum of incomes for native-born Americans over the past 50 to 70 years. He finds no strong evidence that immigration has been a main or important factor hurting earnings growth for native-born workers. When analyzed separately, both native-born and foreign-born Americans have seen impressive gains. Grouping them together tends to pull down overall figures due to the increasing number of lower-earning migrants. Guest: Scott Winship. Retry

The debate between owning and renting will go on forever — it all depends on your stage in life, finances, and lifestyle. But as you get older, one thing becomes clear: housing security matters more than ever. The last thing you want in retirement is to be forced out of your neighborhood because of rising rent. Yet as a renter, you have little control over how much your landlord raises prices, especially if you're not in a rent-stabilized home. With housing inflation outpacing wage growth, it's time to get neutral real estate by at least owning your primary residence. In this episode, I'll share why ownership becomes more valuable with age — and how to think about real estate in a world where affordability keeps shrinking. Read the post for more details and discussion: Please Don't Rent For Life: Housing Security Is Vital Other related post: Why I'll Never Manage Money For Anyone For Free Again Invest In Real Estate Passively If you can't buy a home yet, don't sit on the sidelines while housing prices and rents keep rising. Many people say our healthcare system is broken—and maybe you've felt that yourself.Rising costs, denied claims, and surprise bills have left millions of Americans buried in medical debt. But there's a better, biblical way to approach healthcare—one that has been serving Christians for more than forty years. Lauren Gajdek joins us today to tell us all about it.Lauren Gajdek is the Senior Director of External Affairs at Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM), an underwriter of Faith & Finance. Why an “Open Enrollment” Campaign for a Year-Round Ministry? While CHM accepts new members year-round, their Open Enrollment Campaign—running from November 1 through January 15—aligns with the period when most Americans review or change their health coverage through employers or government exchanges. This is the time of year when people are thinking about healthcare decisions. So even though CHM is open year-round, it's an excellent opportunity to shine a light on a biblical alternative. Many Americans have grown frustrated with their healthcare experiences. CHM hears from countless people who've paid premiums for years, only to find that help is unavailable when they need it most. It's disheartening. You think your provider is in-network, but later find out they're not. That leaves patients confused and financially burdened. It's a system that often leaves believers wondering if there's a better way. That sense of frustration has become widespread—especially as over 100 million Americans now carry medical debt, a staggering sign of a broken system. How CHM Differs from InsuranceCHM operates from a radically different model. Rather than paying into a profit-driven system, CHM members share each other's medical expenses—a reflection of biblical community and mutual care. They've been around since 1981 and have shared or satisfied over $13 billion in medical bills. They're a nonprofit ministry that helps Christians live out their faith through practical care.Unlike traditional insurance, CHM members can visit any doctor or hospital they choose—there are no in-network restrictions—as long as the treatment meets the ministry's guidelines. It's simple, affordable, and rooted in biblical stewardship. Members have the freedom and peace of mind that come with knowing they're part of a community that cares. At its core, CHM is not an insurance company—it's a Christ-centered community built on shared values. Members give monthly to help other believers in need. It's an act of faith and stewardship. And for most people, it's far more affordable than traditional plans. This affordability and flexibility are especially appealing for Christians seeking to align their healthcare decisions with their faith and values.Guidance for Those Exploring Their OptionsFor anyone comparing healthcare choices this season, approach the decision prayerfully and with an open mind. You don't have to be trapped in a broken insurance system. There's a proven, Christ-centered way to handle your healthcare. Go to CHMinistries.org/FaithFi to find a cost comparison tool that shows how CHM can make care more affordable. Many in the Faith & Finance audience are retirees or nearing retirement. So it's important to note that CHM also complements Medicare, helping cover eligible expenses Medicare may not cover. It's what they call a ‘complementary' approach, where CHM can help cover costs Medicare doesn't pay, as long as they fall within its guidelines.FaithFi is grateful for CHM's partnership and their ongoing commitment to helping believers steward their healthcare costs wisely. You don't have to settle for a system that's broken. There's a biblical, community-based way to manage your healthcare needs. Learn more at CHMinistries.org/FaithFi.On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:A pastor friend of mine was told he owes $13,000 in taxes because his preparer made a mistake. He doesn't have the money to pay for it. Where can he turn for help?I own a small business structured as an LLC, and I'm confused about how to tithe. Should I tithe personally from what I pay myself, from the business profits at year-end, or both?I'm a pastor, and one of my church members is struggling. After his father's death, the estate was liquidated, leaving him without a home. He hasn't filed taxes and now has tax debt. What's the best way for him to address this?I'm looking into a debt management plan and wondering—will it hurt my credit score? And would I still be able to keep one credit card open for emergencies?Resources Mentioned:Faithful Steward: FaithFi's Quarterly Magazine (Become a FaithFi Partner)Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM)National Christian Foundation (NCF)Christian Credit CounselorsWisdom Over Wealth: 12 Lessons from Ecclesiastes on MoneyLook At The Sparrows: A 21-Day Devotional on Financial Fear and AnxietyRich Toward God: A Study on the Parable of the Rich FoolFind a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA)FaithFi App Remember, you can call in to ask your questions every workday at (800) 525-7000. More To The Story: About 2,100 people are on death row in America. Some have been there for decades, in part because executions have been on the decline in the US. But that's changing. So far this year, 41 people have been executed, up from 25 last year, and six more executions are scheduled. Early in his second term, President Donald Trump signed an executive order reinstating federal executions while encouraging states to expand the use of capital punishment. One man has seen many of these executions up close. The Reverend Jeff Hood is an Old Catholic Church priest, an ordained Baptist minister, a racial justice activist, and something of a go-to spiritual adviser for many currently on death row. On the day of the execution, he goes inside the chamber for the final moments of people's lives. On this week's More To The Story, Hood sits down with host Al Letson to describe his work as an advocate for death row inmates, what it's like being a white Southern reverend vocally advocating for racial justice, and how capital punishment in the US today illustrates American society's increasing movement in a more violent direction.Producer: Josh Sanburn | Editor: Kara McGuirk-Allison | Theme music: Fernando Arruda and Jim Briggs | Copy editor: Nikki Frick | Digital producer: Artis Curiskis | Deputy executive producer: Taki Telonidis | Executive producer: Brett Myers | Executive editor: James West | Host: Al Letson Donate today at Revealnews.org/more Subscribe to our weekly newsletter at Revealnews.org/weekly Follow us on Instagram and Bluesky Listen: In Bondage to the Law (Reveal)Read: Louisiana Is Executing Prisoners Again. A continent-spanning empire bore down on a patchwork of rival city-states—and out of that pressure, a people discovered themselves. We follow the Greek victories over Persia from raw survival to a moral origin story, showing how memory, art, and ritual transformed urgent alliance into a lasting idea: Hellenic freedom. We start with the fragile coalition that met the Persian advance at Salamis and Plataea, then uncover how the meaning of those battles grew in the retelling. Simonides' epigrams, Pindar's odes, and Herodotus' sweeping narrative forged a panhellenic lens through which courage, divine favor, and self-rule became the Greek signature. Monuments like the Serpent Column at Delphi and offerings at Olympia turned sanctuaries into archives of unity, while annual rites at Plataea and Salamis taught that freedom must be renewed, not assumed.Athens made the memory visible. Rising from a burned Acropolis, the city reframed myth as politics on the Parthenon, casting Greeks versus Amazons and gods versus giants as a code for order resisting tyranny. At the same time, naval power rewired society. Themistocles' triremes elevated the rowers—the thetes—and widened democratic voice, seeding the Delian League and a new maritime identity. That shift sharpened the contrast with Sparta's land-first conservatism, foreshadowing rivalry even as the ideal of Hellenic liberty took root.We connect these threads to later thinkers and leaders. Thucydides uses the Persian War as a baseline of necessary unity. Plato and Isocrates hold it up as a mirror for civic virtue. Alexander taps its emotion to justify conquest. Across centuries, the wars became sacred history and a durable myth: free citizens against imperial despotism, reason over hubris. Listen for a richer view of how battles end but stories begin—and how those stories still guide debates on power, identity, and the price of freedom. This week, the hosts tackle the fallout from Zohran Mamdani's election in NYC and the controversy over CAIR's support. Jewish leaders including Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch and Amb. Michael Oren and voices including Sen. Ted Cruz and commentator Ben Shapiro warn of growing threats, as the ADL and AJC closely monitor Mamdani's activities. In the Middle East, a fragile Gaza ceasefire leaves Hamas fighters trapped in Rafah tunnels, with Rabbi Pesach Wolicki questioning the ceasefire's durability and Netanyahu rejecting a state inquiry regarding October 7. Across the Atlantic, the episode examines antisemitism in the UK — an NHS physician continues to treat patients despite repeated antisemitic outbursts, and Aston Villa's ban on Israeli fans during a match against Maccabi sparks outrage as protesters chant. Back in the U.S., authorities successfully thwarted jihad-inspired terror plots targeting Jewish communities in Michigan and New Jersey, underscoring the growing urgency of vigilance and communal security. Communism isn't just a political theory—it's a spiritual Trojan horse. In this episode of Family Vision, Dr. Rob Rienow takes us inside a biblical critique of socialism and communism, showing how these ideologies stand in direct opposition to God's design for the family, the church, and the Gospel itself. Rob unpacks the deceptive appeal of communism—its promises of fairness, compassion, and equality—and contrasts them with Scripture's commands for work, charity, ownership, and family discipleship. Drawing from history, economics, and biblical truth, this message exposes the anti-family agenda of statism and challenges believers to resist hollow philosophies with the Word of God. What You'll Learn in This Episode: - Why socialism and communism threaten the Christian family - How the Bible calls individuals, families, and churches to fight poverty - The spiritual roots and goals of Marxist ideology - Why forced charity contradicts biblical generosity - How to disciple your children to spot deceptive cultural lies Scriptures Referenced: Colossians 2:8, 2 Thessalonians 3, Ephesians 4:28, 2 Corinthians 9:7, Romans 13 Resources: Partner with Visionary Family Ministries – Help us reach more families with biblical truth.
