Part 2 of my recap from the Funnel Hacking Live event in Nashville.
I mentioned recently that Cory and I attended a conference together that led to a lot of takeaways and desired actions steps. She joins me today to debrief.
Cory and I recently attended our first marketing/business development conference together as independent business owners! It was a cool experience to go through together and to share each of our key take aways and plans for implementation. I'm going to break down a handful of my key takeaways over the next handful of episodes. This is part 1.
I'm really trying to find the silver lining in this one...I can't stand the Patriots, but the sustained excellence they've achieved as an organization is undeniable. I'll share my key takeaways from their dynasty and what we can learn from it.
One of the core 4 we talk about often, is relationships...how are you investing in this critical area of your life?
How do you handle adversity in your life? Particular those moments that cause you shake your confidence and cause you to doubt yourself? We discuss today...
Today I'll revisit our first 6 months in business, and give you a little bit of insight into what we're working on today.
In the interest of sticking to our New Year's Resolutions, I spend a little time unpacking how I personally try to attack each day to maximize productivity, and ensure the right balance.
This is audio I ripped from a video I posted to social media that got some positive response so I thought I'd share it here as well. I'm a big believer that societal change and progress starts at home, and it's our responsibility as leaders of our respective households to take up that challenge.
Something I've been spending a lot of time thinking about lately. Why do so many people struggle to get what they want out of life? Anxiety, medication, sedation, and depression all run rampant in today's society. How do you protect yourself from falling victim to so many of the pitfalls that exist and ensure you're always moving forward with a clear mindset? We'll explore that complicated issue today.
Picking up on our last conversation about connecting with your vision for the future.
What's your vision for your life? Have you ever taken the time to really crystalize what a dream come true outcome would look like for you? What would be required to fulfill that vision? If you're ever going to step outside your comfort zone, you have to have a compelling enough vision of what you want to make it worth the risk and discomfort.
We're all flawed beings...and all in our own uniquely screwed up ways. Lucky us! The same characteristics that make us successful can often be the potential pitfalls that cause us to stall if we aren't careful. I've seen this time and time again in my own life, so today, I'll talk through how this shows itself in my life, and what we can do to make sure it doesn't keep you from getting where you want to go.
Study the best practices of the world's highest achievers and you'll find a lot of common threads. One of the most common is how each of them integrate time for reflection and gratitude in their daily rituals. I've used this as a personal best practice of mine over the last several months and the impact has been huge. I encourage you to consider how gratitude can play a bigger role in your daily rituals too.
I was introduced to the idea of the "6 human needs" a couple of years ago, listening to a presentation by Tony Robbins. It was a game-changer for me. It changed the way I think about things. From how I reflect on anxiety and stress I feel at times, to what causes me joy, excitement, and fulfillment. Regardless of whether you feel in balance, or completely out of balance, you can apply this model to help you take inventory of where you are, and what might be missing.
Getting overwhelmed is an inevitability. We're all trying to juggle a ton of different things at any given time. How we deal with it is the key. Let's discuss...
What's your ideal client's current state of mind? No matter where you are in life, we're all human, and all humans are constantly motivated by two primary directives. We always have a situation that we're looking to get away from or improve upon, or we have some big ambition that we're in pursuit of and we're just trying to figure out how to get there. Knowing this, as a business owner, all we're ever really doing with our clients and prospects is taking them on a journey. Today, I'll walk you through my approach for trying to orchestrate this journey for our clients and prospects, using a framework called "escape and arrival".
All of us have a story. At the end of the day, it's the only thing that your competition can't knock off. It's what makes your journey unique and your message compelling. It's critical to get it right...and that can take some work. We'll dive into a framework to help us think through it in detail.
What's your process for goal setting? And how do you establish actions and habits that support those goals? In this episode I'll walk you through my approach to thinking through daily activities that support your desired outcomes.
Every prospective client to your business enters your world at some point completely cold. They have to get introduced at some point. What does that entry point look like for you in your business? Once they've entered into your world, what are the natural next questions on their mind that you can answer for them? How can you continue to build value and get them more and more comfortable with you and your business? Answering these questions will help you to construct your personal "value ladder", which every business should have. In this episode, I'll walk through what that looks like for me, and how I'm approaching this at the moment.
The "before unit" is the lifeblood of every business. It's how we introduce new prospects into the business and warm them up to potentially do business with us. If you could predictably deliver prospective "dream clients" into your business funnel who were prescreened, prequalfied, and premotivated to do business with you (yes spellcheck told me none of those are words)...how would that change things for you? This is the process I'm working through right now, and this episode will explore that process.
Beginning with the end in mind. What are those critical questions that you must get clear on for yourself before moving forward? In this episode we'll explore a process I just went through that was incredibly helpful for me that you can use immediately. What's really most important to you and why? What are your virtues and beliefs? What do you stand for? What do you stand against? This and more... If you'd like a sample of my personal "Value Statement and Statement of Beliefs", you can check it out here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/14ZZPdIZO_dmMy6xo9LzTjq-DQgajLR7aqNBaZAem4YA/edit?usp=sharing
The struggle to find and achieve balance is real. In this episode we'll discuss a process I'm currently experimenting with that I'm finding useful in the quest. The balance between health, spirit, relationships, and business is the focus.
