Let’s be honest, how many of us buy a new sketchbook or journal every other month, draw in a page or two, and then just let it pile dust on desks? Well in this weeks episode Miriam and Marissa discuss all things Sketchbooks! Why we love them, why they intimidate us, and what we’d like to start drawing in them. We also discuss artist Louise Despont, her recent show at The Drawing Center, and her thoughts on Sketchbooks. Hopefully you will feel encouraged to pick one up and make marks again! Miriam catches us up on her European travels and experiences!

Today the ladies discuss their experience exhibiting work at the university level and beyond. We’ve all had our ups and downs and hopefully this can offer some insight into what it’s like and where to find opportunities to show.

Where’s does inspiration come from? Why pursue being an artist? In today’s episode we discuss the moment we realized we were interested in making art and the influences we’ve had over the years. We also try to offer our listeners some tips on where to find inspiration when they find themselves in a rut! What are some of your influences?
