SYA is a youth ministry located in south Florida. SYA stands for Segadores Young Adults. There are things in your life that you cannot control. There are moments that have their season, moments of joy, happiness, and moments of pain and suffering. They're unavoidable, inescapable, but we believe that in those moments there is a hope that can help us find a way. The word of God says that when Peter took a bold step outside of the boat and walked on water beside Jesus, he began to put his eyes on the storm instead of Jesus.Shortly after, Peter's faith began to weaken and he began to sink. But luckily for him, Jesus was right there and he pulled him out of the tempest. Our lives work the same exact way, when we keep our eyes on the storm, the circumstance, the bills, the problems. We begin to drown, to feel hopeless, but with Jesus our hope can be restored. Our faith can be fulfilled and our savior can pull us out of any situation just like he did to Peter. Our vision is to spread the message of a loving God who loved us so much he gave his only begotten son for us, and whoever believes shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus demonstrates his love for us by spending time with those the world deemed "unqualified". He spoke a different language with what he said but also with what he did. It's up to us as the church to love others, not the way we would love ourselves, but the way Jesus loved us.
