“50 Plus A Tip” podcast host, Dani Nadeau is a sarcastic, straightforward, sex-positive feminist who’s never one to hold back. Dani lives her life by two philosophies 1) it’s better to have a life of ‘oh well’s than ‘what if’s and 2) be unapologetically you. Her years of experience as a sex worker have given her a passion and drive to do what she can to eliminate the incorrect stigma that currently surrounds sex work.  This week I talk to Dani about everything you've wanted to know about sex work and why someone would choose to be a sex worker. We cover the legalities, lifestyle and how we can support sex workers and become good allies.  Connect with Dani below and check out her podcast “50 Plus A Tip”  Instagram: @dan_nad or @50plusatip Email: 50plusatip@gmail.com

Mika Laulainen, a director, artist and all around badass in the theatre community, chats with me about consent, non-monogamy and the patriarchy. In the past, it's been an unspoken understanding that actors should dive into any situation they find themselves in. But this can be triggering for some people. Especially when it comes to creating art that might centre around sex, sexual violence, physical altercations or anything that could cause a boundary to be crossed. Mika and I chat about some of the work she's doing to create a safe, communicative space where actors can feel free to express their boundaries while still staying true to the art they're creating.

Ep.3 Is Your Vulva Normal?: 4 Vulva Myths

Play Episode Listen Later May 23, 2019 16:17

There has been so little research done on the female body. It makes us wonder if we're normal, if we're healthy or if we're crazy. I know plenty of health care providers who brush off women's pain and issues. But more and more information is starting to surface as we finally delve into the mysteries of the deep...or at least the mysteries of the vulva. In this episode I debunk 4 myths surrounding the vulva so we can finally put these damaging ideas to rest. Disclaimer: I know that not all women have vulvas and not all people with vulvas are women. There isn't a ton of research out there on trans & gender queer bodies. So we can't accurately say that what works for cis women will work for trans folk. This research is based on cis women who grow up to identify as female.   Tips for overcoming non concordance:  http://www.jenniferdoanconsulting.com/blog/2019/5/23/when-your-body-feels-like-the-enemy-arousal-non-concordance FREE Energizing Orgasm Audio Lesson: https://jennifer-doan.mykajabi.com/energizing-orgasm-audio-lesson
