Our desire is to help sisters in Christ to find their own notes of grace, by following the melody given to us through God's Word. Our goal is to help women learn how to study the Bible and ultimately grow their relationship with Jesus Christ. As Christian
Today is part 2 of Relationship vs. Religion. "Have you ever wondered if we're missing it? It's crazy if you think about it. The God of the universe--Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E minor, loves us with a radical, unconditional, self sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs and try not to cuss." Today we're talking all about marriage and contentment. What does it mean to be content in your marriage and what are some of the causes of discontentment? We also discuss what it means to find your worth in Christ instead of trying to find your fulfillment in your spouse.
In today's episode, we're on part 2 of our marriage series. Today's topic is Communication + Conflict. We've already established that marriage is WORK and that most important work is watching what we say. The tongue is a powerful tool and it can make or break a relationship. Hey y'all! Today, we are talking all about marriage! This topic is very near and dear to our hearts, as evidenced in our 49+ minute episode. :) We tried to find a middle ground to separate it into 2 episodes, but we felt like it all needed to go together. The Lord has placed a real burden on us to help strengthen our marriages as well as those around us and we hope you find some help here! Divorces are flooding our congregations today. We understand that sometimes, divorce is unavoidable, but so many of them could be avoided with help from God and the Bible first, as well as outside sources. Sometimes, you need a third party to intervene, and that's ok! Don't be ashamed of admitting that you need help. Everyone struggles. Everyone has issues in their marriage. Yours might look different than Heather's or Sarah's, and they should! God made us all different. Today, we're giving a brief overview of where marriage came from, how God instituted it, and what He expects from us. There's lots of transparency in this episode about our own lives and some laughs too. We hope you are encouraged and will join us for more on our marriage series in the upcoming episodes! So, grab your spouse and listen together. Heather mentions the book, Love + Respect. You can find a copy on Amazon by clicking the link below!
