This very raw, not-so-pretty episode is just me being honest with myself about where I am right now. While I have a lot of faith in God, and I've seen HIm do amazing things in my life — I've been a little frustrated. I feel like I've missed God quite a bit. In fact, I've whole-heartedly believed in things that have disappointed me? Have you ever felt like this? How can you course-correct in this situation? How do you restore faith back? Let's chat about it.
Christians deal with feeling overwhelmed and defeated by the bad in the world, too. With everything that hit me in the first 2 weeks of 2022, I definitely experienced it, and the depression made me feel like hope (and even prayer) was a waste of time. But God met me in that place with a lifeline to help me fight off the depressive episode, and I want to share it with you. I hope my words affirm for you that your feelings are valid, but they are not final. You will have better days as long as you don't throw in the towel now. This episode stemmed from an Instagram post that said "women don't often associate with anxiety and depression, they just feel like they are failing." This is just one way that depression and anxiety appear. If you've been feeling uncontrollable sad, irritable or hopeless, I pray you seek out spiritual, emotional and clinical support (whatever combination that works for you).
I remember a special moment during prayer when I told God that I wanted a healthier view of him and a healthier view of Christianity. I wanted to trust him to lead my life more. That thought has been ringing in my head ever since: The Healthy Christian. Up until that point, I've felt like I had to do and be perfect in order for God to bless me. But God has been trying to show me that he can bless me and love me even if I have nothing to do with it. Healthy Christianity isn't about getting everything right. It's about getting the right understanding of the father and learning to trust and lean on him, and not your own understanding. My hope is that this podcast sheds light on the vulnerability of Christianity so that we can better draw people to Christ, instead of repelling them from us. Let's do it together! Join in on the discussion every Tuesday!

My disclaimer: This episode is a little on the heavy side, so govern yourself accordingly, lol. I got a chance to use my own story of dysfunction to shed light on one of the biggest stumbling blocks keeping us from getting to greater works: cycles! Listen in and leave me your feedback! One of the best ways to be confident about your purpose is to KNOW that what you are doing is what God told you to do. But how can you be sure? First thing's first — you have to know the difference between a God idea and a good idea. And you'll learn in this podcast that there's a BIG difference. "A God idea is based on the best scenario GOD can come up with. And because he's all-powerful, his ideas supersede time and space." Click to listen and leave me your feedback! Greater Works was a charge Jesus gave to us in John 14:12, which states "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father.” To kick off this podcast, we're tackling the real definition of greater works and the different ways greater works can manifest in our lives. It's not always entrepreneurship or making money — and it's not always being in ministry. Connect With Me Some More!
