Un-Decidedly Ridiculous

Or more accurately named, which should be enjoyed first- movie or book? This episode Alex and Meg delve into the correct order of consuming popular culture. Should you watch the movie first and take in all the sights in a mere two hours before commiting to the long hog of reading? Or is that a ridiculous idea that would later diminish the joy of seeing the written word come to life in your mind? This episode we changed things up a little bit, with Meg sitting back while Alex battled it out over designer souvenirs. Taking on passionate guest and friend Dylan, the two debated what made a better souvenir- the novel gift in a designer lighter, or a coffee mug, a classic hit. Meg tried her very best to be unbiased (to limited success) and settle this ridiculous debate. After a bit of a hiatus we're back with a brand new episode, refreshed from the holidays and ready to get stuck into it again.  This episode we tackled a common debate. We all love a good shower, but who is enjoying them at the correct time?  Is it Meg, showering in the morning to wake herself up and prepare for whatever the day throws at her? Or is it Alex, cleansing himself of the stresses and hurdles overcome to truly unwind in the evening? Fists are flying on the podcast this week as we fight over who the real bad guy in Dreamworks' Shrek is. Meg took the safety this week as she defends Shrek's honour, while Alex plays the antagonist, attempting to tear down the good name of Shrek. To be clear, we really don't agree with the politics or beliefs of Lord Farquad. But the question remains, is Shrek a good guy? Welcome back to Un-decidedly Ridiculous. In this episode we discussed a topic we have argued about time and time again. The premise is this- according to a study (which Alex suspiciously can no longer find), food that you prepare yourself is less enjoyable than food that is prepared for you. So the question is, if you were unanimously the best chef in the world, would you believe you were? Or would you prefer the food of the second best chef?
