Loud & Queer is a weekly live national radio show produced by and for queer youth. The show airs on SYN Nation every Sunday, at 4pm AEST (2pm AWST).
Naarm/Melbourne-based comedians Freddie Arthur and Michele da Costa are on the lineup of 'Crackpot Comedy' - a Queer comedy extravaganza in what they're calling "the best suburb in Melbourne": Brunswick. They talk to Loughlin Patrick about queer identity, pushing the line with their material and bringing their personal lives on stage. Freddie Arthur is a local gig pig and the MC of 'Crackpot Comedy'. A small-town girl, originally rom Mildura, her strangest gig to date was a 3-hour spot at Inward Goods Festival at 10 o'clock in the morning. Michele da Costa is a Brazilian born comedian with a new solo show 'Life Alone'. The three-time RAW Comedy Semifinalist loves dark humour, bad puns and blending political rants with dad jokes shamelessly. Crackpot Comedy runs on Thursday 11 and 18 April. Life Alone runs from Wednesday, 27 March (tomorrow!) to Sunday, 7 April. Head to comedyfestival.com.au for tickets. Loud + Queer is still bringing you queer conversations with L+Qx a whole host of shows across SYN. Tom Nethersole and Robert Baxter join Loughlin Patrick fresh off the release of their tracks 'Meant To Be Alone' and 'Tokyo'. Tom says working as a wedding photographer led him to overhear a groom confess to cheating on his bride with a bridesmaid who was walking her down the aisle. And Robert says sharing an Uber to a club went terribly wrong when their fellow passenger came seeking reparations - catching the club owner in the crossfire. The catch? One of them is lying. It's raw and unreal: 'I Want To Hear You Say It' is an interview with a twist. One guest will share a wild story from their lives; the other will make up a complete lie. Will they team up or turn against each other as we try to sort fact from fiction? And will you be able to figure it out before the show is over? The clock is ticking... Hear 'Meant To Be Alone' and 'Tokyo' out now wherever you listen to to music.More from us: https://linktr.ee/loudandqueersynSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
