Joe recaps Interm Dom's crazy takes from yesterday. The Steelers defense continues to get crazy hype, with Juan Thornhill the latest to add to it. Joe compares the 1976 Steelers defense to this year's team. Archie Manning says his grandson Arch will stay at Texas after this year. Could he do this to avoid the Browns? Is there a scenario that he'd steer his way towards the Steelers?

Hello to you Lorraine, listening in Corona del Mar, California!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more for a story) for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga. It was early morning when I lifted the shade and looked out the airplane window at the brown, mid-September harvested fields of Spain below me, stretching as far as the eye could see. I felt sick, gut-clenching, breath-holding, throat-constricting sick. What a stupid idea! What was I thinking! How ridiculous, foolish even, to even imagine that I could walk across Spain - alone - as a pilgrim - with nothing more than a backpack and a guide book. Who was I kidding? As the plane began its descent into Madrid, I had already made up my mind that I could not, should not, and would not walk the Camino de Santiago. I was no pilgrim. I would pick up my backpack and catch the next flight. I was going back home. What happened next? Tucked between the pages of the guide book I was holding was an envelope and in the envelope a short message from my story galpal, Lorraine. Her first words were “WELL DONE!”Her words continued: As you read this thousands of feet above the earth (and how could she have known that?) you may be wondering why I gave you a “WELL DONE!” card to start your Camino de Santiago journey. Regardless of what does or doesn't happen from here on out, you will be forever changed simply because you showed up. And that, my friend, is “WELL DONE!”What could I do? What would you do?The plane descended, taxied to the Madrid Airport gate, and I disembarked with the rest of the passengers. I found my way to baggage claim, through customs, and out of the terminal looking for the bus that would take me across Madrid to the station for the train to Pamplona where I over-nighted before taking another bus to St. Jean Pied de Port, France to finally begin my Camino de Santiago. I walked out of France, over the Pyrenees Mountains, into Spain, and then 500 miles on foot to Santiago.Since then I say my life is BC & AC: Before Camino and After Camino. Not a day goes by that I don't recall my pilgrimage, relying on the kindness of strangers, and the unforgettable words that gave me the courage to set out: WELL DONE!Story Prompt: Who gave you a hand up when you needed it most and expected it least? What happened next? Write that story and tell it out loud!Thank you for listening! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" According to Bryan Kohberger's legal team, he was out for a nice long drive on the night/morning of the murders. Of course, there is no one to corroborate his tale, but his word should be good enough for us as far as his legal team is concerned. Thankfully, the court has other ideas. In this episode take a look at Bryan Kohberger's "alibi" and why it is a DOA type defense in front of a jury. RIDICULOUS QUESTION- WHAT EVERYDAY THING THAT YOU THINK IS SEXY?
Our guest this week is Brad Anderson — a tech engineering and product leader who spent more than 17 years at Microsoft and is now approaching 5 years at Qualtrics, the experience management technology company, where he’s president of products, user experience, engineering, and security. I’ve known Brad for a while, in fact I’ve been on two of his shows back when he was an enterprise mobility and cloud technology leader at Microsoft, and it was all the rage for executives to have their own video shows. There was “Lunch Break with Brad Anderson,” where he drove his guests around the streets of Redmond in his Tesla, introducing me to "Insane Mode" at the time. And there was “The Ship Room,” where he talked about the cloud and played games with guests, challenging me to distinguish real startup names from fake ones. For this week’s show, I went to the Qualtrics Tower in downtown Seattle to talk with Brad about how he thinks about building tech today — how AI is starting to change the way products come together, and how expectations are shifting for both the people using the tools and the people building them. I also turn the tables on Brad in the final segment with a game about cloud and AI terms called "Real or Ridiculous" — stick around to play along. But first, he reminded me about the random case of mistaken identity that brought us together in the first place, back in the day. Welcome back to The Film Library, a Kanopy podcast where we dig into eye-opening documentaries, unforgettable characters, and stories so strange they have to be true—no film degree required. This week, hosts Kristy Puchko (Entertainment Editor at Mashable) and Jeff Rauseo (film lover, documentary junkie, and proud champion of VHS oddities) dive into the wild, weird, and deeply personal world of documentaries. From baseball pitchers on LSD and DIY Spielberg tributes to miniature war towns and midlife creative crises, Kristy and Jeff spotlight some of their favorite nonfiction stories currently streaming on Kanopy. These aren't your typical history homework assignments. These are films that surprise, inspire, and occasionally blow your mind wide open. Whether you're into true crime, lost media, pop-punk nostalgia, or The Shining fan theories gone off the rails, this episode is packed with rabbit holes worth falling into. So, settle in and let these stories surprise you, move you, and maybe even change how you see the world. Follow Kristy on Instagram @thekristypuchko and Letterboxd @kristypuchko. Follow Jeff on Instagram, TikTok, and Letterboxd @jeffrauseo. Follow Kanopy on Letterboxd to see the full episode list. Stream the films we mention for free at kanopy.com with a library card or university ID from a participating institution. Episode Highlights 00:45 — King of Kong (2007) & Freakonomics (2010) Kristy and Jeff kick things off by sharing the first documentaries that truly blew their minds—from retro arcade rivalries to statistical conspiracy theories. 03:30 — Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made (2015) Jeff recounts a lifelong obsession with this joyful doc about childhood friends who spent seven years recreating Raiders of the Lost Ark shot-for-shot. 07:00 — Marwencol (2010) Kristy dives into this hauntingly beautiful portrait of artist Mark Hogancamp, who built a miniature World War II town as a form of healing and storytelling. 11:50 — Three Identical Strangers (2018) Jeff tries not to spoil the shocking turns in this gripping true story of triplets separated at birth—and the disturbing secrets behind their reunion. 16:15 — Flipside (2023) Kristy breaks down this genre-bending, self-reflective doc about unfinished projects, creative ambition, and the quiet heartbreak of growing older. 21:15 — No No: A Dockumentary (2014) Jeff pitches the psychedelic, political, and deeply personal life story of Doc Ellis—the MLB pitcher who famously threw a no-hitter on LSD. 25:30 — Green Day: 20 Years of American Idiot (2024) Kristy celebrates the legacy of a punk rock milestone with this energetic, nostalgic look at Green Day's landmark album and the tour that changed everything. 30:00 — Room 237 (2012) Jeff and Kristy fall down the fan theory rabbit hole with this hypnotic collage film about The Shining, moon landing conspiracies, and the art of interpretation. 34:45 — Final Thoughts Kristy and Jeff reflect on what makes a documentary unforgettable—and why the best ones often leave us with more questions than answers.
I sat down with former national security official Miles Taylor to discuss the very real threats at home and from abroad that this country faces with Trump in the White House. Threats Miles also knows about personally, as Trump called out Miles by name in April and ordered the DOJ to investigate Miles for treason. Ridiculous, yes. But scary, and unprecedented. Get ready, because that heat is coming! Looking at 94° tomorrow with some showers in the morning and more rain likely on Thursday. We talked about the upcoming "heat dome" in the news this morning…along with the haze from the Canadian wildfires. Also in the news, the search for Eliotte Heinz continues, Malcolm-Jamal Warner died over the weekend in a drowning accident, a Wisconsin murder suspect who was arrested in Nebraska just faced an extradition hearing, and a federal judge sentenced a former Louisville police detective to 33 months in prison for his role in the death of Breonna Taylor. In sports, the Brewers continued their hot streak by beating the Mariners last night, the Packers have signed Zach Tom to an extension, Chris Paul is heading back to the Clippers, and Will Levis is done for the season already. Elsewhere in sports, Jake Retzlaff is leaving BYU for Tulane, and Deion Sanders is still dealing with some sort of health issue. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight, and what's new on New Release Tuesday. Plus, we talked to Grant Bilse from the Wisco Sports Show about kiss-cams after the whole Coldplay debacle. Jeffrey Epstein's probation terms following his 2008 conviction were astonishingly lenient, especially given the gravity of the charges. Despite being labeled a sex offender, Epstein was allowed to serve just 13 months of an 18-month sentence in a private wing of the Palm Beach County Jail, with most of that time spent outside the facility under a “work release” privilege. He was permitted to leave the jail for up to 12 hours a day, six days a week, supposedly for professional obligations—an arrangement virtually unheard of for registered sex offenders. During these hours, Epstein operated from a private office where he allegedly continued to receive young female visitors, all while being “supervised” by deputies who largely looked the other way.The terms of his probation were equally toothless. Epstein was granted permission to travel extensively between his residences in New York, Florida, and the U.S. Virgin Islands with minimal oversight. He was required to register as a sex offender, but compliance was inconsistent and, in some jurisdictions, poorly enforced. He didn't wear an ankle monitor, and his communications and finances were largely unmonitored, allowing him to continue managing his wealth and potentially facilitating further abuse. In effect, the probation conditions seemed tailored not to restrict Epstein, but to preserve his lifestyle—highlighting a justice system that bent over backward to accommodate a wealthy predator while failing the dozens of girls he had exploited.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
