Karen Summers was the first victim in this story - and how was her memory honored? What she a face on a t-shirt? Did her parents find comfort when Demarchoe and his co-defendant were convicted - what about when they were exonerated? Could Demarchoe’s story have really started years before he was born? We talk about how North Tulsa was created, speak candidly with people who are or were a gang member, and discuss how a person gets into a gang how they get out. Brooke attempts to discover if Demarchoe was in a gang. Also learn what happened at the hospital after Demarchoe was shot. This episode is intense with some adult language - make good choices. Roynes Dural was wrongfully convicted in Hawaii - but no one would ever know - because the media didn’t report on it. In this episode Demarchoe talks to Roynes about his experience. There are a few minor changes for the next few weeks. Brooke’s doctor has told her “she needs to stop talking so much” because of a medical issue - so she will only be speaking to help introduce the sponsors. Don’t worry she’s still doing some of the behind the scenes work as well!
