For some guys style and a good fashion sense seems to come naturally. And, for others it, well, doesn’t. While he’s not exactly a dating coach, I think my guest today is something like a modern-day Hitch -- a great 2005 movie starring Will Smith and Kevin James if you’ve never seen it. Mark Rankine is a professional men’s grooming and style consultant living in New York City who helps men take their style to the next level. A serial networker coming from a background in sales and recruiting, at the age of 29 Mark is already running three companies. A couple of years ago, I volunteered to let Mark give me a full make-over -- hair, beard, and clothing. We shopped around Midtown Manhattan for hours and his team filmed the whole adventure, including a short “before” interview and a reveal at the end. The result? I was able to get a whole new wardrobe on a shoestring budget as well as a stylish hair-cut and beard trim. I happened to meet my wife a month later, and I think my make-over had something to do with it.   Counted among Mark’s clientele are successful professionals, including entrepreneurs and executives who may be killing it in their careers or other areas of their lives, but whose personal sense of style or fashion ranges from completely lacking to very stylish, but could use a little coaching and guidance. Some of the clients he works with are young men who want to dress for success and make a good impression at job interviews and others are professional athletes, models, and actors. He also works with many businessmen, singles who want to impress their dates, and recent divorcees who have found themselves back on the dating scene with wardrobe in need of a style update.   Mark Rankine is also a social media influencer and content creator. You can find him on all the socials sporting an immaculate outfit teaching men how to tie a Windsor, rock a pocket square, or advising about everything from clothing and shoes to cologne to hair and beard styling.
