An episode from Bible Believers Baptist Church (BBBC), a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bible Believers Baptist Church's statement of Faith:A Bible Baptist is one who believes in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural splendor, and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on earth. What BBBC believes about Creation: “We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God's own image and after His own likeness; that man's creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; and that all animal and vegetable life was made directly and God's established law was that they should bring forth only “after their kind.”What BBBC believes about Salvation: “We believe in God's electing grace; that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent and an obedient faith; and nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel; which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary plus nothing. Therefore, we do not believe that works are necessary for salvation, although once a person is saved, he should be careful to maintain good works.”What BBBC believes about Repentance and Faith: “We believe that Repentance and Faith are solemn obligations, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the quickening Spirit of God, thereby; being deeply convicted of our guilt, danger, helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy; at the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ and openly confessing Him as our only and all-sufficient Savior.” A message from BBBC to you: “If you are looking for a church in the Corpus Christi Texas area that preaches the Truth from God's Word, reach out to us at any time. We’re joined this week by brilliant counted-canvas artist Wendy Moore. The show is made possible by CyberPointers (cyberpointers.org), the online chapter of ANG. The need to be creative transported Wendy from the science world to stage costume design. She moved to the Midwest and was exploring her love of Shakespeare when she was invited to an EGA meeting. That meeting opened the door to the counted-canvas-design career that we all enjoy today. In our conversation, we learn the details of Wendy’s interesting career path and her process for creating terrific needle art. Wendy’s pieces are available through online, in-person, chapter, and regional and national events. “If you can get six people together, I’ll teach a class.” We hope you enjoy the show and will consider taking a class from Wendy. Are you wondering why your Instagram views have suddenly dropped? Instagram recently updated how “views” are counted, and this shift is causing numbers to look lower across the board. So let's break down what happened in a really simple way.Previously, Instagram was pretty generous with what counted as a view. If someone saw your Reel or post — even for a split second — Instagram counted that as a view. That included:Someone scrolling past your post on the Explore pageSomeone skimming your profileSomeone seeing a quick preview of your Reel in their feedAll of those moments were counted as views… even if the person didn't actually tap the post or watch anything intentionally. This meant your view counts were inflated by a lot of passive impressions.Instagram has removed those “preview views.”Now, a view only counts if someone taps into your post and actually watches it.So if they scroll past it?If they see a two-second preview? If they skim your profile but don't open the content?None of that counts anymore. This is why so many people are seeing view counts drop — nothing is wrong with your content. Instagram is just measuring views more strictly. The good news is: your reach has not changed. Instagram is simply reporting views differently. And honestly, this shift gives us a clearer picture of true engagement. We're now measuring intentional viewers — the people who cared enough to tap in.So if your views have dropped recently, take a breath. You're not alone — this is platform-wide.And as always, you can always count on the Sircle team to keep you informed on any platform updates!

For its seventh birthday, Food For Mzansi isn't celebrating with cake. It's listening. The “Stand up and be counted” campaign invites farmers, farmworkers, and agripreneurs nationwide to share their stories, creating South Africa's most inclusive agricultural survey yet. By combining storytelling with data, the platform aims to give a voice to the often-overlooked, reveal the sector's real diversity, and turn participation into visibility, dignity, and influence.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced the furnace not because their faith failed, but because they trusted the God who saves. Their refusal to bow isn't stubbornness, it's confidence that the Lord is worthy of trust even when the flames rise and deliverance seems impossible. In the fire, the Lord makes himself known. This week we'll see how their story invites us to the same confession— the God who stood with them in the furnace is the God who stands with us in every trial.Pastor Schroeder's sermon preached at Faith on November 16, 2025. In this message, Jordan uses a personal anecdote about pet jealousy to frame the conflict in Acts 5, where the Sadducees arrest the apostles out of envy. After an angel frees them, the apostles' immediate return to the Temple illustrates their commitment to "obey God rather than people."Subscribe to AfterWords on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.Download a copy of the Exodus JournalVisit us online: rivchurch.comFollow us on InstagramSend us feedback: podcast@rivchurch.comSubscribe to AfterWords on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.Visit us online: rivchurch.comFollow us on InstagramSend us feedback: podcast@rivchurch.com
Pastor exhorts on Christian service and Ministry
This week, Pastor Jeff continues a series in the book of Acts named ACTS: The Mission of God is Our Mission. The next message in the series is based in Acts 5:17-42 and is entitled "Counted Worthy." The main idea of the sermon is: Followers of Jesus obey God rather than men by proclaiming the gospel and counting themselves worthy to suffer for the sake of the name. ———————— Connect with Us: Website: parkwoodonline.org Facebook: facebook.com/parkwoodonline Instagram: instagram.com/parkwoodonline.org Check out more resources and sermons online at: parkwoodresources.org
This sermon from Acts 5 explores the story of Ananias and Sapphira, who lied about their offering to appear more generous than they were, resulting in their deaths. The message emphasizes that God values authenticity over appearance and that purity must come before power in the church. The apostles, despite being imprisoned and beaten for preaching about Jesus, continued to obey God rather than human authorities, demonstrating that Christ sets us free not to sit back, but to stand up. The sermon challenges believers to choose obedience over opposition and to stop pretending while starting to walk in truth.
An urgent episode investigating how the mechanics of counting people and drawing districts can reshape the nation. We unpack a Harvard analysis showing the Census Bureau's Disclosure Avoidance System (DAS) and the use of differential-privacy “epsilon” methods introduced in 2020 produced biased block counts that have practical consequences for redistricting and federal funding. Then we tie that to a high-stakes Supreme Court fight over race-based redistricting now before the justices — a ruling that legal experts say could shift as many as ~19 House seats and materially change control of Congress. The hosts explain what all this means for representation, budgets, and everyday American voters — and why a technical formula ended up being a political weapons system. Advocates for All Nebraskans, a nonprofit lead by former Nebraska Republican Party chair Eric Underwood, introduced its fourth and fifth petitions of the 2026 election cycle Tuesday. One of the proposed constitutional amendments would require all elections in the state to be conducted exclusively through paper ballots that are counted by hand. The other would give all five of the Nebraska's electoral votes to the statewide winner instead of the current congressional district allocations. Lincoln radio host Doug Fitzgerald said the petition drives have national implications that cannot be overstated.

Mitchell Frederick - Afterglow (Original Mix) www.nocturnalradio.live // www.mitchellfrederick.com Through the shadows… We carried pain. Through the silence… We found a flame. Love and light… after the fall, We rise together, stronger than all, Breath of night, heart of the day, Darkness fades… we find our way. I've walked alone where the sun won't shine, Counted the hours, lost track of time, Every wound a mark, every scar a sign, But love kept burning… a secret divine. Hands reached out when I thought I'd drown, Pulled me up, turned it all around, In your eyes, I see the spark, Even in night — you are the dark's mark. Light me… guide me… Hold me… find me… Love and light… after the fall, We rise together, stronger than all, Breath of night, heart of the day, Darkness fades… we find our way. One heart… two souls… Breaking free… afterglow… The night forgives… the dawn will know. Every ending starts with the fire, Every fall gives birth to desire, In your voice, the world feels whole, Every beat reclaims my soul. We're alive where the shadows end, Every wound has begun to mend, Love is the light that always remains, Guiding us out of the endless pain. Sometimes obedience leads to open doors. Other times, it leads straight into hardship. But Acts 5:41 reminds us that when we suffer for the sake of Christ, it's not a sign we're off course. It's evidence we're walking in step with Him.In this episode, Angie and Susie explore what it means to be counted worthy of suffering for the name of Jesus. They unpack the surprising joy the apostles found in persecution, and how we can anchor our hearts to that same joy when obedience feels costly. This conversation is about recognizing God's presence in suffering and discovering that even our pain can be purposeful when we remember who we're walking with.Acts 5:41 (NIV)The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. https://livesteadyon.com/https://susiecrosby.com/ https://www.logos.com/https://enduringword.com/https://www.wordhippo.com/https://www.biblegateway.com/https://www.blueletterbible.org/John D. Guest: Karol Ladd, author, speaker, and involved grandparent - check out Karol's latest blog articles on the power of positive grandparenting If you'd like to watch this podcast, check out the PCA YouTube page. The world tells grandparents one of two untruths…first, that because they are older, they are insignificant; and second, now is their time to retire and take care of their own needs and desires. The Bible paints a much different picture for grandparents. Proverbs 16:31 says, “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” That “crown of glory” is to be respected and honored and the wisdom that comes with age should be considered valuable. This proper perspective or grandparenting is shared in Dr. Josh Mulvihill's outstanding book titled Grand Parenting: Strengthening Your Family and Passing on Your Faith, which is one of the eight books in the Grandparenting Matters series. Last week was Grandparents Day for the PCA North campus, and this Friday, September 19th is Grandparents Day for the Plano campus. We hope that all grandparents are able to attend and we want to get connected with each grandparent who wants to be equipped to be a strong spiritual influence in their family and the community!
What's the deal with stand-up comedians? Why do they gotta be standing all the time? Can someone get these comics a chair? I'm sure their legs are tired. But seriously, folks, on this episode of Baconsale we're doing material about some of the most famous names in stand-up comedy. Joel, Kent, and Zack have prepared some bits for such categories as Better on Stage than in Film, Makes Me Laugh Every Time, Too Blue to Be Funny, Favorite Classic Comedian, and Most Annoying Shtick. We'll do our best to work the crowd as we explain jokes, do some questionable impersonations, and don't get any respect. Press play to start self-depreciating and remember, it's okay because it's comedy.

Main Topic: Avoiding Burnout and Hard Work If you came to hear how to NOT work hard on your homestead and still be successful you have come to the wrong place. We've been talking lately about the need for rest and recovering from burnout --- and then I realized on a walk that hard work is part of homesteading - so burnout is one thing, but hard work another = so where is the line between these two? Many people hesitant to get out and about lately. Stories of burnout are common → led to conversations about resets, weekend retreats, and monthly calls for homesteaders. Giving talks on Build Abundance Not Burnout (like at SRF in October). Realization: some come to hear “how to make it easy,” but building the life you choose is not easy. Burnout comes from: Overcommitting and saying yes to everything. Lack of rest or intentional reset. Poor design → every task feels uphill. No tracking or systems → constant re-doing and searching. Trying to do it all alone without community. Expecting it to be easy and feeling defeated when it isn't. Design makes things flow, but doesn't remove the work. Design for future you (20–40 years older). Example: rabbit hutch above garden bed → nutrients flow without transport. Design with profit in mind. Tracking matters (avoids wasted effort). Systems = less friction, but animals still need care, water lines must be buried, harvests preserved, fencing run. Homestead Revenue Stack (Holler Homestead Example) Core Product – Sheep Service Layer – Airbnb experiences, tours, classes Scalable – LFTN Podcast, HomesteadSkills.academy, cookbook Community – Meetups, connecting people Add-ons – Holler Roast Coffee (became its own core product), laminated cheat sheets, small guides, dried herbs Game changer: Add-ons bolt onto existing work. Sometimes the add-on is another person → ties into Holler Hub model (spokes). Each layer still involves hard work. Smart design + add-ons keep that work from tipping into burnout. Honest contrast: the grind is real, but structure turns it into momentum. Hard work is baked into homesteading — there's no escaping it. Burnout comes when that work isn't designed well or isn't supported. The Homestead Revenue Stack shows how to make your effort count: core products require grind, but when you design smart and bolt on add-ons (whether that's coffee, guides, or community), the same work builds abundance instead of exhaustion. Healthcare is awash in data. A typical hospital generates 50 petabytes - a million gigabytes - of it each year. But what are we measuring, exactly? Where does that data go? Why is most of it wasted? And does what we're measuring really need to be measured? Wendy and Matt talk about modern medicine's growing obsession with big data, how data drives social behavior, and the questions we all must ask before consenting to more data gathering - from our patients or ourselves.

Wisdom & Faith James 1:1-8 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. I. Called as a servant of God II. Counted for the joy of God III. Curious for the wisdom of God
