POPULARITY
We’re back again and finally have a proper name for this thrice-renamed podcast. This time, it’ll stick! This episode is far more representative of our hopes for this podcast. We talk a LOT about sex work, sex workers, sex workers’ rights, feminism (and the controversy about feminism vs sex work), trans-folk rights and America’s dismissal of same, answering listeners’ questions, making a lot of jokes, keeping a positive attitude, and exploring nuances of so many related topics. If you stick around until the end, you’ll learn how Stoya and Mitcz met, and hear some fun insider knowledge about their respective careers. As always, we want to hear from you! Tell us what YOU want to talk about – just use the contact links on Riffopolis.com to reach out.
There was a scheduling mishap, and we were without a guest. But, we’d rather light a candle than curse the darkness. So, we FINALLY got around to our annual “Riff of the Union” and get deep into the game. Moreover, Mitcz discusses the upcoming Riffopolis network and Teddy’s new political show. It’s a shorter show, but plenty of riffs per minute to tide you over until next week.
We got some serious riffin’ done here on Episode 55 with our special guest – comedian Jesse Case. It starts silly and wild with some crazy stories of childhood and teen years in the yuppie backwoods, moves on to an “accidental crack” story and we get real philosophical going forward. Probably one of our deepest episodes yet. And only Teddy was high! Enjoy, Riffopolis.
As a Holiday bonus for all the Riffolonians in Riffopolis – here’s the UNCUT 3-hour bonus episode of Chris “Kid” Reid (of Kid N Play) recorded way back in July, 2011. By the time we got this far into the riff, most people had checked out, so this is the first time the world at large gets to hear this. Enjoy!
