Salem Village, 1692... The air is thick with mud, gossip, and the kind of piety that leads to horror. The villagers gather for a holy spectacle, hungry for blood and bureaucracy in equal measure. They've come to see Judge William Stoughton unveil the Devil's ledger... the cosmic hit list said to name the damned and the influential alike. Somewhere between the sermon and the scandal, the Devil resides in a blend of colonial hysteria and timeless hypocrisy. #CreepStreetPodcast #CreepStreet #DarkComedy #SurrealSatire #HorrorHumor #WeirdHistory #SalemWitchTrials #TheDevilsList #ReligiousSatire #EpsteinFiles #ComedySketch #SatiricalShort #SketchComedy #DarkHumor #FolkHorror

You're telling me that all the things I'm worried about right now, gripping my mind and dominating my feelings - these are just "distractions?" A lot of our bad decisions come from worry, and a desire to "do something" about the troubling situation. We've been taught better! Yesterday we began to look at five characteristics of a Christian who's becoming more like Christ. Dealing with disagreements graciously, and having a Disposition of joy were the first two. Every Wednesday, we share our thoughts on a newer entertainment property, and as of this week, that's The Lowdown. It stars Ethan Hawke as the kind of person whose mouth (and pen; he's a journalist of sorts) often gets him punched in the face. He does have a smart and savvy daughter who, so far, doesn't want to injure him. Mentioned: Duster, Perry Mason, Alan Sepinwall's review of this episode.Next Wednesday, we'll continue with season 1, episode 2, "The Devil's Mama." We'll be back tomorrow with our weekly roundup. This episode was recorded in front of a live audience ... of dogs.

Welcome to Day 2724 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Day 2729– A Discerning Life – Not Like Cain, but Like Christ! – 1 John 3:11-24 Putnam Church Message – 10/05/2025 Sermon Series: 1, 2, & 3 John “A Discerning Life – Not Like Cain, But Like Christ! " Last week, we continued through the letter of 1 John and explored how to have A Discerning Life: Discerning the Works of the Devil." This week, we continue through the letter of 1 John, and we will explore how to have A Discerning Life: Not Like Cain, But Like Christ!" from 1 John 3:11-24 from the NIV, which is found on page 1901 of your Pew Bibles. Love One Another 11 For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters,[a] if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 The one who keeps God's commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. Opening Prayer Repeatedly, John urges his readers to love God and to love one another. He warns them against loving the world (2:15–16). And he underscores the danger of embracing a sinful lifestyle (3:10). All these subjects begin to wear on the consciences of Christians who desire to be like Christ but constantly fall short. If we allow the full impact of these words to weigh on us, it'll make us squirm because all of us fall short of the perfect standard of love given to us in Jesus Christ. Considering these convicting truths, some believers might even begin to think, “Am I even saved? Have I loved the world too much? Have I not loved my brother or sister in Christ enough? Are there people in my life whom I hate?” Because these questions...

The Evergetinos sets the bar of freedom in a surprising place: anger without cause is not when we flare up over trifles, but whenever we react to any ill-treatment aimed at us. Abba Poimen sharpens the point: even if a brother were to gouge out an eye or cut off a hand, anger would still be without cause—unless he were separating us from God. In other words, the only justified “anger” is zeal for communion with God; all other indignation binds us to the injury and darkens the nous. From this first edge, the text moves to the Christ-likeness of suffering injustice. One who willingly bears wrongs and forgives becomes “like Jesus”; one who neither wrongs nor suffers wrong is merely “like Adam”; one who wrongs is “like the Devil.” The goal is not moral equilibrium but kenosis: to descend into the humility of Christ who “was reviled and did not revile in return.” The Evergetinos then baptizes our imagination with stories. Abba Gelasios' costly book is stolen; he neither exposes the thief nor reclaims it, but quietly commends the buyer to purchase it. His silence pricks the thief's conscience more effectively than accusation; repentance follows, and the thief remains to be formed by the elder's life. Abba Evprepios helps thieves carry his goods; noticing a robber's staff left behind, he runs after them to return it. Abba John the Persian offers to wash the feet of intruders; shame breaks their hardness more swiftly than punishment. Abba Makarios not only helps a thief load a camel with his own belongings; when the animal refuses to rise, he adds the missing tool and blesses the thief's going—only then does the camel sit again, until everything is returned. These vignettes train the heart to a habitual non-resistance that is anything but passivity; it is a deliberate, creative meekness that seeks the other's salvation. Not all the stories end with goods restored. Sometimes the elder simply rejoices to have been counted worthy to lose. One monk prays to be given the chance to imitate such forbearance; when thieves finally come, he lights a lamp, shows them everything, even discloses the hidden coins. He does not wish them to bring anything back. Here dispossession becomes doxology. “We brought nothing into the world” and “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away” are not verses to be quoted at funerals only; they are the grammar of freedom in the face of loss. --- Text of chat during the group: 00:05:09 Fr. Worry and Peace. That would almost be a good title for a novel! All of us would trade our anxiety for inner peace. And that would surely lead to more interpersonal peace, more social harmony - which is especially important in the church. And that would bring joy to everyone. But how? Paul talks about these qualities and more, within just a few lines in his letter to the Philippians. We've all read them, but have we seen the purpose behind them? Scripture teaches that death entered the world through the envy of the devil. Pro-Life Leader Frank Pavone connects this truth to abortion, showing how it reveals the satanic nature of attacks on innocent life.
Jesus came not just to comfort, but to conquer. From 1 John 2:28-3:10, Pastor Tim unpacks how Christ destroys the works of the devil and invites us to live from victory, not for it. Abide in Jesus. Purify your heart. Practice righteousness. Phoenix Bible Church is a church in the heart of the city of Phoenix, Arizona. We desire to engage culture, uphold truth and love people. In a world where life can be heavy and confusing, we want to cover the hard truths - with grace. This is difficulty and messy - and so are we - but the love of Jesus meets us in our mess. Our rhythm is to gather to worship on Sunday and then scatter during the week to love, live and lead together. We are imperfect people moved by the perfect love of Jesus. Come as you are. Experience His love. #LoveMoves Time Title 0:00 Intro Story – The Scorpion and Protection Through Love 2:50 Main Idea – God Destroys What Harms Those He Loves 3:11 Text Reading – 1 John 2:28 – 3:10 6:06 Point 1 – How the Devil Works 10:02 The Enemy's Strategy – The Satanic Lullaby 12:02 God's Affection and Protection 14:22 Two Camps – Children of God or Children of the Devil 15:42 Who the Devil Is and How He Accuses 18:22 Temptation and Accusation Cycle 22:08 Point 2 – How Jesus Destroys the Devil 24:41 Through His Life, Death, and Resurrection 25:43 Through His Return – The Victorious King 28:01 No More Sin, Evil, or Pain 28:22 How We Partner – Abiding, Purifying, Practicing 30:16 Jesus Fights for You 31:47 Practice Victory Daily 35:20 Closing Prayer and Call to Confession ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Website https://phoenixbiblechurch.com Connect with Phoenix Bible Church https://phoenixbiblechurch.com/connect

Gregory Vincent Greene was a man of contradictions, charming yet cold, generous yet ruthless. Behind the façade of an ordinary life lay secrets that would unravel a family and shock a community. In this gripping new episode of Blood Ties, Geoffrey and Molly Wansell peel back the layers of a complex life and a chilling crime. With their trademark mix of forensic storytelling and psychological insight, they explore how Greene's charisma concealed darkness, and how the people who loved him were drawn into a web of lies, fear, and betrayal.CREDITS: Presenters: Geoffrey and Molly WansellProducer: Peter Shevlin https://pod60.com/Artwork: George LeighMusic: Dan WansellCONTACT: Twitter: @BloodTies_PodInstagram:@bloodtiespodcastEmail: bloodties.podcast@gmail.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@bloodtiespodcastSupport: patreon.com/bloodtiespodcastPlease complete our survey if you have time: http://bit.ly/bloodtiespodcast-survey Hosted on Acast. Do you want the devil to flee? This promise that he will flee isn't automatic; it is conditional on our submission and resistance. In today's podcast, we are going to highlight one of the scriptures that the devil, our enemy, hates. These are more than nice words; these are weapons of warfare against him and his minions. On this week's episode we're off to the least populated historic county of Wales, Radnorshire on the Welsh Marches! As for why Radnorshire has been so depopulated and wild for quite so long, it has a lot to do with war, and plenty to do with the Black Death. We discuss how these traumas, combined with the destruction of castles, have left the county speckled with desolate empty hillforts and ghost villages - a landscape filled with tales of murder and tragedy, as well as lots of fascinating superstitions...These include the ways in which 'Spirit Nights' were organised, how 'Sin Eaters' were employed to absorb the errors of the dead, and plenty else, from the donation of graveside 'Shovel Money' to 'Rag Knife Men' and the vigilante groups known as Rebecca and her Daughters. All this aside, we chat about the Cat Man of Radnor Forest, the drowned Giant's Graves now sunk within a reservoir, the Llandrindod Wells Sheela Na Gig, the county's link to the Elizabethan magus Doctor Dee, and plenty else besides, interspersed with some extracts from this Saturday's upcoming interview with award-winning Welsh storyteller and author Michael Harvey. All of which leads up to Martin's story for this week, "Davies and the Devil" through which a lowly orphan turns the tables on the Dark One across a hundred years of mischief. We hope that you enjoy the episode, and will speak to you again on Thursday with a new Three Ravens Bestiary episode all about Wargs and Werewolves and - if you're a Patreon supporter - our November Exclusive episode about the history and folklore of the Gunpowder Plot! The Three Ravens is a Myth and Folklore podcast hosted by award-winning writers Martin Vaux and Eleanor Conlon.Released on Mondays, each weekly episode focuses on a historic county, exploring the heritage, folklore and traditions of the area, from ghosts and mermaids to mythical monsters, half-forgotten heroes, bloody legends, and much, much more. Then, and most importantly, the pair take turns to tell a new version of an ancient story from that county - all before discussing what that tale might mean, where it might have come from, and the truths it reveals about England's hidden past...Bonus Episodes are released on Thursdays plus Local Legends episodes on Saturdays - interviews with acclaimed authors, folklorists, podcasters and historians with unique perspectives on that week's county. With a range of exclusive content on Patreon too, including audio ghost tours, the Three Ravens Newsletter, and monthly Three Ravens Film Club episodes about folk horror films from across the decades, why not join us around the campfire and listen in?Learn more at www.threeravenspodcast.com, join our Patreon at www.patreon.com/threeravenspodcast, and find links to our social media channels here: https://linktr.ee/threeravenspodcastProud members of the Dark Cast Network.Visit our website Join our Patreon Social media channels and sponsors Hosted on Acast. What'cha thinkin' about? On Friday we were thinking about fence posts - some metaphorical pillars that can help steady our minds when they start to go wobbly. And Jim will bring that idea home on today's broadcast. But the Apostle Paul has some more general advice for the Philippians: Reflect on the good. The encouraging, noble, inspiring things in life - whatever they are - are worthy of our contemplation. Let's join Pastor Jim at Philippians 3, verse 15. Listen to Right Start Radio every Monday through Friday on WCVX 1160AM (Cincinnati, OH) at 9:30am, WHKC 91.5FM (Columbus, OH) at 5:00pm, WRFD 880AM (Columbus, OH) at 9:00am. Right Start can also be heard on One Christian Radio 107.7FM & 87.6FM in New Plymouth, New Zealand. This week on Slashers Podcast, we're pulling up a dusty roadside chair at the dinner table of America's most dysfunctional family: The Fireflys. As part of our Family Gorey Gathering month, we're diving into Rob Zombie's brutal, sweaty, sun-scorched nightmare The Devil's Rejects (2005). Ade, Mikey, and Lance talk about how Zombie evolved from the grindhouse carnival chaos of House of 1000 Corpses into something grimier, meaner, and disturbingly charismatic. We break down the film's cult legacy, its outlaw-country energy, and why Captain Spaulding, Otis Driftwood, and Baby Firefly became horror icons in denim, dust, and blood. We get into the film's unflinching violence, its complicated moral grime, and why some horror families stick with us like a stain you can't bleach out. Plus: Bill Moseley being strangely attractive in this film.Grab a gas-station corn dog, check the backseat, and hit play. Just remember: I am the devil, and I am here to do the podcast.

Years ago, Not If I Reboot You First started a Patreon just to help cover hosting costs, but we ended up putting it on ice because we felt we couldn't come up with enough bonus stuff to warrant it, and because we were both in positions were we could pay for podcast hosting anyway. Nowadays - well, we can still cover costs, but NIIRYF has become part of the Corner Podcast Network, alongside Loser Like Me, The Home for Wayward OCs, and occasional other shows like Faith Full and You, The Devil, and D&D. That's more pods to host, as well as editors and sometimes title card artists to pay. So we've revived the NIIRYF Patreon and converted it into the Patreon for the entire Corner Podcast Network. What does this entail? Right now, not much. Across our shows we've got a great fanbase, but it's not a huge one. We also know that times have been tough across the board. So at this time, this is basically a soft-launch of the patreon to see how it would go. We are starting at just one tier, worth $2. The reward for that tier is a shout-out. That's all! That's all we want to commit to right now. The discord and the guest submissions for the podcasts which have those will remain open to the public. Essentially, this is a tip jar and a audience reaction gauge. But if it goes well, we've discussed things like making bonus content, releasing episodes more often on our regular feeds for some shows, and doing audience participation - but that's all topics for later. ...Okay actually, let's talk about audience participation real quick. There's an upcoming episode of NIIRYF that can make use of some listener suggestions and prompts, so! If you subscribe to our Patreon before December 11th, 2025, you will get the chance to pitch a Mega Man boss that Tanner and Lindsay will discuss on air, and potentially decide to put into the hypothetical game they are pitching. This isn't going to be a regular patron benefit YET, it's just another soft-launch element, but again, we wanna see how people respond to it. If it seems popular, great! We'll see what we can do with that more often, maybe for other shows. If not, don't worry about it! We don't expect everyone listening to this to donate to our stuff, and anything we do get will go directly to covering hosting and editing costs. But knowing that other people are willing to invest in us would help us invest more in these shows ourselves. We don't dream of being full-time podcasters, but it would be great if we had the funds to reach a little higher, you know? And even if you can't support us monetarily, it would be a huge help to tell your friends about us - having a wider audience and bigger reach would be a major boon as well. No matter how this test goes, we appreciate everyone who has listened in the past and continues listening to us today. That's what you missed on the Corner Podcast Network - thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again - even if we reboot you first. Bye!

"The ritual to reawaken Bainsolas must not resolve!" and now that it is in mid process we have little choice to step into the fray and take the steps, whatever they may be, for the defense of the known realm. Big stakes are in these final episodes as the puzzle becomes even more clear. Or is it. Not that I doubt the team, but 80085 was mentioned by our dragonborne paladin. On a freezing February morning in 1855, the terrified residents of Devon, England discovered miles of cloven hoof prints burned into fresh snow—tracks that climbed over rooftops, passed through locked gates, squeezed through four-inch pipes, and seemed to deliberately stop at people's front doors.IN THIS EPISODE: One morning in 1855, citizens of the English town of Devon were surprised to find strange footprints about town in the snow – not just on the street and sidewalks – but on their doorways, and on the house roofs, haystacks, walking up walls, and through pipes. The tracks covered over 100 miles and there was no explanation of how the prints were made – but many had a theory about who made the prints. They say it was the Devil. (The Devil Came To Devon) *** Picture this, you are called to the scene of a murder. The victim's shotgun was found in his room. It had been used some time recently, and there was an empty cartridge on the floor. There was, however, no blood or any other obvious signs of violence in the house. And something else odd, a pot in the kitchen was discovered to contain large amounts of strychnine. It sounds like one of those murder-mystery party games you solve with friends, but this is from a true murder mystery in Australia that still fascinates those who study the case. (The Wonnangatta Murders) *** What do a Jesuit missionary and a former slave have in common? The answer is… Bigfoot. (The Missionary, The Slave, and Bigfoot) *** The FBI described Israel Keyes as one of the most meticulous and vile serial killers in American history – so much so, he even had the FBI scratching their heads. Siquoyia Blue opens the Blue Alchemist Podcast with a confession: a book shook her to the core. Napoleon Hill’s Outwitting the Devil forced her to confront the habit of drifting—those quiet, unnoticed moments when intention fades and darker energies move in. Through vivid personal reflection, she traces how idleness becomes a gateway for fear, comparison, and spiritual darkness, and how the modern devil now often wears a Wi‑Fi connection. This episode walks listeners through three concentrated lessons: what drifting looks like mentally, emotionally, and spiritually; how distraction, social media, and fear act as modern instruments of the devil; and concrete ways to reclaim focus—choosing your circle, protecting your energy, and cultivating daily practices that anchor you. With candid storytelling and practical challenges, Siquoyia turns a book’s wisdom into a life plan for anyone ready to stop floating and start directing their story. Paul warned the Ephesian elders that Satan's strategy to destroy the church always begins the same way by corrupting leaders, releasing wolves, and raising up warped insiders who twist truth and divide the flock. Faithful shepherds must guard the church Christ purchased with His blood.
