Hey friends! Today on the show we're talking about the typology of Captain Marvel. This character is a refreshing entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as an ESTJ bring some Te flavor into the mix. She's bold, fast, and intense in her combat style while also being playful in her more risk-heavy moments. We break down how the search for her past is a way of her unlocking her secondary function for growth, which, in turn, develops her inferior beacon of emotional depth to determine her own moral compass and which actions to take. This was a fun episode to do as we bring back the show to talk more about fictional characters in-depth using Myers-Briggs and sprinkling in some serious personal development talk. Today on the show we're talking about how each type values their individuality. Some types are going to care about other people and the outside world more than others but each type needs ourselves, along with people, to navigate through life effectively. We all access individuality in different ways but it's important that we nurture who we are since we are the person that we 100% spend our time with. Let's break that down on today's episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show I'm asking "What's the point?" in regards to learning Myers-Briggs, learning in general and how we're approaching the world. What is the point of our lives and the connections we want to create? Why do we want what we want? It gets into a philosophical space a bit but I've been also thinking about how I want to speak about Myers-Briggs and speak to people about anything. So, what's the point? We explore that on today's episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show I share a bit of my story as to how I've been using Myers-Briggs for my personal development. I've used MBTI to help with my mental health, relationships, looking at my past, figuring out my future, learning where my strengths lie and strengthening my relationship with my partner. All of this has led to massive change in my life that is still happening but it also has led to this podcast, so I'm grateful for that transition. Let's break that down today on Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show we're taking a call from one of our course members, Naomi, who called in about her relationship with an ENFP. There are quite a few good questions about how to connect with her partner, MBTI compatiblility, and that tertiary place of defensiveness. We address some of the INFJ idealism but I'm also careful to note that every situation, relationship and person is different. So talking about this is a challenge but if you're able to apply it to you story then you could potentially have great results. This one's a long one but a good one on today's episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show we're talking about typology and personality tests from the perspective of accessibility. How difficult is it to talk type and get into type? What are you doing to make these concepts simpler for the average to understand without having to learn an entirely new language? How can we better teach typology and lead people in the right direction? We play around with those ideas on this episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show we're talking about Fred Rogers, his show "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" and the documentary "Won't You Be My Neightbor?" Typology gave me great insight into who he was as a person and a greater appreciation for everything he's done through not only listening to his personal story but understanding what was going on for him psychologically as an INFP. He was such a wonderful man, with honest intent, a natural desire for authentic connection with children in a way that no one else has ever exhibited. I know that I love and appreciate him for everything he's done for me, so expressing typology through this episode is a thank you note that I didn't have the chance to give in person on this episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show we're talking about all about figuring out your Myers-Briggs type. So many have difficulty figuring out their type because they skip over learning about what it's even for and why it's relevant. How does it all even work and what's the point? If you understood that then you may have a little more patience in learning what your type is and also realizing that it takes more work than just taking one test. There is a lot of life that we've lived and humans aren't that simple. In fact, that's why people reject MBTI because they think it's simple and putting them in a box. It couldn't be further from the truth. We're here to break down why that is on this episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today on the show we're talking about your greatest opportunity for growth, your secondary function. Each type leads with either a dominant decision making or learning style and your secondary style is going to be the opposite. It's what helps create balance and get you into a flow-state. Many of us lean on our dominant style, which isn't unhealthy, but it's not capable of being in charge all of them. We need to give it a rest and the secondary function is the great opportunity for that kind of relief. The same is true for the tertiary and inferior functions. If they start to take over, the secondary function is most able to jump in and save the day. Think of the dominant and secondary as parents and the two subconscious processes as children, if you let them run the show they'll cause havoc. Today on the show we're talking about how all 16 personality types react to being defensive and how they use that to protect their ego. We get upset, we get offended, we get hurt and when it's least expected we can fire back in uncharacteristic ways. That's because our tertiary function takes over and has it's moment of rage. INTJs, for example, may attack someone's moral character. INFJs may attempt to logically break down why someone hurt them. ENFPs will emotionally shutdown and get factual. Today on the show we're talking about Eminem and Marshall Mathers' separate typology. How is it possible that one person can have different typology? Simply put, since one is a caricature, it's quite simply but it has created a little bit of difficulty in his career with people misinterpreting his persona for his personal identity. I think the current iteration of Eminem is a merger of those two personalities. Slim Shady was most definitely an extreme of an idea but at the end of the day, it's all an expression of his Fi (introverted feeling). Today on the show we're talking all about Gary Vee's message these days which is essentially a fight against Fe. He's a Te dominant, an ENTJ, and many of musings these days has been focused on those underdeveloped Fe-types (**FJs) who avoid conflict and are trying to appease someone's wants over their own. It's a valuable message for FJs to listen to on this episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX. Today we're answering the age old question of "Can I Be More Than One Myers-Briggs Type?" since many people are often confused by the complicated nature of humanity trying to be instilled into a typology. No one likes to put baby in a corner. But what is really going on is that a lot test givers fail to explain that typology is about understanding all types and what you're learning is your subconscious preference that you utilize throughout your life. So, the short answer is no but it does get more complication as we talk about cognitive functions and work through some of the common public misconceptions of typology on this episode of Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX! Hey! Thanks for being here. Today we're talking about appealing to someone's decision making function in marketing or relationships. The T or F in the Myers-Briggs system is our decision making function, so appealing to that function can be a good idea if you're trying to get someone on your side or follow along with what you've got to offer. We talk about the different attitudes associated with each and how even language can make a big difference when speaking to each type.
