Universally fantastic audio storytelling for your listening delight by Christine Lee
This is a 1 minute podcast featuring 5 different natural sounds emailed to me by friends. The idea is to take the clips and assemble them into a story.
Audiotastic Universe podcast host, Christine Lee takes a look at what makes Gimlet Media's the Mystery Show with Starlee Kine so....mysterious. See, it was there one season in 2015 (when it was named best new podcast by iTunes)and gone the next, never to be heard from again. But why? The Audiotastic Universe is writen, produced, and edited by me, Christine Lee. Special thanks to Gary Craig and Steph Sicats for their fabulous voices on the intro of the show.
Names are everything, especially if you're a member of the Hartford Area Roller Derby team, a.k.a. The Hartford Wailers — not to be confused with the Hartford Whalers, the NHL team that hightailed it out of Hartford in 1997. The strong women of the Wailers all have super cool skate names that are creative plays on words. But even the team name (Wailers) has meaning....and yes, it's a pun. In this "sound rich" episode, you'll meet "Kill Bill", "Gorey Killmore" and "Liberty Violence"....lets have some PUN!
Chances are, when you tune in to your favorite morning radio show, the person hosting the program is a guy. In fact, only 16% of morning radio hosts are female and only 11% of radio program directors are women. Why aren't there more women breaking the so-called "sound barrier"? In this podcast, I talk with radio industry leaders Erica Farber (President and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau), Mercedes Martinez (Mercedes in the Morning host, Mix 94.1, Las Vegas), Phil Zachary (Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom, Washington D.C.), Leslie Whittle (KRBE Program Director, Houston) and Stephanie Sicat (Executive Producer, Craig and Company morning show, 96.5 TIC, Hartford) about what's holding women back from the prime spot in morning radio — and what women can do to get to the top.
