En este episodio de El futuro del trabajo analizamos la situación actual del empleo tecnológico en España a partir de la tercera edición del informe elaborado por el Servicio de Estudios de UGT sobre el mercado laboral TIC en 2026. Para ello conversamos con José Varela, responsable de Inteligencia Artificial y Digitalización del sindicato y autor del estudio. A lo largo de la conversación repasamos cómo ha evolucionado el empleo tecnológico en nuestro país en los últimos años: un crecimiento relevante tras la pandemia, señales recientes de desaceleración y una realidad marcada por fuertes diferencias según perfiles, territorios y sectores. El informe aporta datos que ayudan a contextualizar el debate público sobre talento tecnológico. También abordamos el impacto incipiente de la automatización y la inteligencia artificial en determinadas tareas, especialmente en los perfiles de entrada, así como los retos que esto plantea para la renovación del talento y la transmisión de conocimiento dentro de las organizaciones. Junto a ello, se analizan cuestiones como la evolución de los salarios, el poder adquisitivo, el acceso real al teletrabajo o el papel de las startups en la creación de empleo tecnológico en España. El desarrollo del empleo tecnológico es un reto estructural, clave para la competitividad del país, que no admite soluciones simples. Requiere diagnósticos compartidos, diálogo entre actores —empresas, sindicatos, sistema educativo y administraciones— y una atención sostenida a la calidad del empleo, la formación y las oportunidades de desarrollo profesional.

On this episode of Managed Care Cast, The American Journal of Managed Care® spoke with David Muhlstein, PhD, JD, founder and CEO of Simple Healthcare, about his recent articles highlighting Transparency in Coverage (TIC) files and ghost rates from 119 insurers, including 3 national commercial payers. Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare TIC files were more than 90% ghost rates—billing codes for procedures that would never be performed by a specific physician. For example, there were billing codes for heart surgery performed by a psychiatrist, Muhlstein said. These ghost rates increase the size of TIC files, making them difficult to evaluate for consumers, researchers, and analysts. Data files of this size muddle the true aim of the TIC files to provide actual transparency that would allow consumers to compare the prices of health care services and choose more affordable options.

Stāsta Latvijas Kino muzeja vadītāja Inga Pērkone; pārraides producente – Inta Zēgnere  Latvijas Republikā – mūsu neatkarīgajā valstī – pirmā uzņemtā spēlfilma bija "Es karā aiziedams". Tās pirmizrāde notika 1920. gada 9. novembrī Rīgā, kinoteātrī Grand Kino tagadējā Lāčplēša ielā 52. Vēlāk "Grand Kino" vietā bija kinoteātris "Lāčplēsis", arī kinoteātris "Kino 52". Filmas "Es karā aiziedams" (1920) radošā grupa: scenārijs un režija – Vilis Segliņš, operatori – Kārlis Kārkliņš, Augusts Rozītis, komponists – Aleksandrs Valle, lomās: Alfrēds Amtmanis-Briedītis (Ērgļu māju saimnieks Alfrēds Ozoliņš), Ludmila Špīlberga (Marija, viņa sieva), M. Komisārs (Ediņš, viņu dēlēns), Aleksis Mierlauks (vecais saimnieks), Berta Rūmniece (vecmāmiņa), Jānis Ģērmanis (Pēteris, puisis Ērgļos), Paula Baltābola (Dace, meita Ērgļos),  Teodors Valdšmits (Starpu māju saimnieks), Lilija Ērika (žēlsirdīgā māsa). Filmai ir 3 daļas; precīzs garums nav zināms – tas varētu būt no 45 – 60 minūtēm. Diemžēl ne "Es karā aiziedams", ne citas 20. gadu sākuma Latvijas spēlfilmas nav saglabājušās – par tām mēs varam uzzināt galvenokārt no 20. gadu periodikas, dokumentu arhīviem, arī no attēliem un cita vizuālā materiāla. Taču zīmīgi, ka nu jau savu zudušo filmu vēsturi varam skatīt arī jaunās filmās! Režisores Signes Birkovas 2025. gadā uzņemtā filma "Lotus" ir drosmīga un krāšņa fantāzija par Latviju 20. gadsimta 20. gadu sākumā. Filmā darbojas gan izdomāts personāžs, gan reālas vēsturiskas personas, viņu vidū arī filmas "Es karā aiziedams" režisors Vilis Segliņš Viļa Daudziņa iemiesojumā. Kaut arī Signe Birkova Latvijas kinomākslas tapšanu interpretē ļoti brīvi un savas filmas centrā ielikusi izdomātu vācu aristokrāti Alisi fon Trotu, "Lotosā" iezīmētā laikmeta atmosfēra – haosa, trūkuma, bet arī lielu ideju un cerību pilna – ir ļoti ticama, ļaujot sajust, cik lielu drosmi un uzņēmību "Es karā aiziedams" uzņemšana varēja prasīt no filmas radošās grupas.  Šodien mēs droši vien teiktu, ka filma "Es karā aiziedams" atbilst vēsturiskajam žanram, taču 1920. gadā tas bija sava laika, toreizējo mūsdienu stāsts. Tā centrā bija zemnieku ģimene un lauku mājas saimnieks Ērglis (viņu atveido Alfrēds Amtmanis-Briedītis), kas tiek iesaukts strēlniekos Pirmā pasaules kara laikā, bet pēc tam kļūst par brīvības cīņu jeb Neatkarības kara virsnieku, varoni, kas filmā pielīdzināts Lāčplēsim, tā aizsākot Lāčplēša kā varoņtēlu prototipa tradīciju mūsu kino. Filmā bija arī melodramatiskas līnijas – mīlestība, greizsirdība, uzticības un ziedošanās tēmas, iespējams arī – paaudžu attiecības. To visu iemiesoja sava laika mīlētākie un pazīstamākie latviešu teātra aktieri: Ludmila Špīlberga, Aleksis Mierlauks, Berta Rūmniece, Lilija Ērika, Jānis Ģērmanis, Paula Baltābola, Teodors Valdšmits. Laikā, kad filmas iecere tapa, 1919. gadā, Latvija bija kara un okupāciju saplosīta. Kino bija kļuvis par savdabīgu patvērumu vispirms jau filmu auditorijai: piemēram, padomju varas pārstāvji 1919. gadā konstatēja, ka cilvēki pārāk daudz apmeklējot nenopietnas filmu izrādes un citus tingeltangeļus. Vajagot uzvest pamācošas bildes ar lekcijām, bet ja tas nav iespējams, tad kinoteātri jāslēdz. [1] Taču kinoteātri bija patvēruma vieta, maizes un darba vieta arī māksliniekiem – mūziķiem un aktieriem. Minētos aktierus 1919. gadā, kamēr juku laikā teātri bija slēgti, uz kinoteātri "Grand Kino" uzaicināja tā direktors Kārlis Kārkliņš (1886–1972). Aktieri pelnīja iztiku, spēlējot t.s. divertismentus, nelielas ludziņas filmu starplaikos. Daļa no tām bija lokalizējumi, bet daļu, iespējams, uzrakstīja aktieris un režisors Alfrēds Amtmanis-Briedītis pats. "Grand Kino" Varietē teātra aktieri kļuva kļuva par filmas "Es karā aiziedams" tēlotājiem – pirmajiem kinoaktieriem neatkarīgajā Latvijā.  1929. gadā Kārlis Kārkliņš, kuru mūsdienīgā valodā varētu dēvēt par filmu producentu un distributoru (filmu izplatītāju), kādā intervijā teica: "Latvijas nacionālās filmrūpniecības pamatus radījām mēs kopīgi ar tagadējo Nacionālā teātra režisoru Amtmani-Briedīti." [2]  Būtisks bija Viļa Segliņa (1882–1961) ieguldījums. Segliņš esot Latvijā no Krievijas un Ukrainas atgriezies tieši tad, kad uzsākts darbs pie filmas. Segliņš ārzemēs bija piedalījies vairāku filmu uzņemšanā. Kārlis Kārkliņš viņu novērtēja kā "tanī laikā vienu no labākiem filmu darbiniekiem Latvijā. Segliņš mums palīdzēja izstrādāt filmas scenāriju, un pēc tā pabeigšanas ķērāmies pie darba". Kārkliņam esot piederējis mazs filmēšanas aparāts, ar kuru varēja uzņemt tikai 30 metrus filmas. Kārkliņš vēlāk stāstīja: "Centos Briedītim iegalvot, ka mums pirmā latvju filma jārada ar šo pašu aparātu. Viņš uz šo ideju skatījās ļoti skeptiski, jo es nebiju profesionāls operators, bet vienkāršs amatieris. Bet, kad es viņam parādīju pirmos uzņēmumus no filmas, ar Liliju Ēriku, tas sajūsmināts iesaucās: "Tagad es ticu Latvijas filmai!"" 1920. gada 9. novembrī notika filmas "Es karā aiziedams" pirmizrāde Rīgā, bet pēc tās filma tika plaši izrādīta Latvijā, vēl arī 1921. gada vasarā un, iespējams, arī vēlāk. Vērtējumi presē bija atzinīgi vai vismaz saudzīgi. Piemēram, žurnāls "Latvijas Tirgotājs" 1920. gada Nr. 8./9 rakstīja: "Neskatoties uz dažām tehniskām nepilnībām, kuras jauniesācējiem nav bijis iespējams novērst pie tagadējiem apstākļiem, uzņēmums atstāj diezgan patīkamu iespaidu un apsveicams kā pirmais darbs vietējā kinematogrāfijā." Avīze "Latvijas Sargs" 1920. gada 10. novembrī norādīja, ka "uzvedumam, bez šaubām, vēl daudz māksliniecisku trūkumu, bet ievērojot uzņēmuma aprobežotos materiālos līdzekļus, kā arī drāmas aktieru pirmo uzstāšanos kinoaktieru lomās, filma tomēr kā eksperiments atzīstama un kā tāds var modināt zināmu interesi". Pamatīgāko recenziju paša vadītajā žurnālā "Fotogrāfijas Mēnešraksts" 1921. gada pirmajā numurā uzrakstīja filmu operators Jānis Sīlis: "Tas ir mūsu pirmais mēģinājums un kā tāds arī atzīstams. Bet arī tikai kā tāds. Šoreiz finansiāli tikām cauri, mūs glāba vispārēja sajūsma, jo tas bija pirmais mūsu pašu, latviešu gabals. Uz priekšu tā strādāt nevaram, ja negribam vilkties citām tautām astē. Mums jārada latviešu kino drāma, jāieliek viņā mūsu īpatnība, jāizved viss mākslinieciski un tehniski ne sliktāk par ārzemju darbiem. Ticība uz latviešu kinematogrāfijas nākotni lai vieno mūs visus." Dzejnieka Raiņa atmiņās atrodama informācija, ka Segliņš viņam stāstījis par filmas gūto peļņu: "Es karā(i) aiziedams" esot atnesis 150 000 rbļ. skaidra atlikuma. [3] Filmas panākumu iedvesmota, domubiedru grupa 1921. gadā izveidoja akciju sabiedrību "Latvju Filma", kurā līdzās kinohronikām un reklāmas filmām tapa vēl četras inscenētas filmas: "Laiku viesulī" (1921), "Fricītis jūrmalā" (1921), "Psihe" (1922) un "Vilkiem mests laupījums" (1922). Thanks for joining me in Session 315 of The Behavioral Observations Podcast. In this episode, I spoke with Drs. Gabi Morgan and David Adams to dive deep into trauma-informed behavior analysis. Gabi brings her 30-year journey in the field—from undergrad roots to professorship at Bay Path University—while David shares his evolution from child and family therapy to clinical psychology, with a heavy focus on foster and adoptive parenting. Both guests are passionate about closing the divide between trauma therapy and behavioral strategies, and they credit mentors like Dr. Jeannie Golden for lighting the way. We kick things off by unpacking what trauma really means. In doing so, as a content warning, please be aware that we do make general references to a variety of traumatic and adverse experiences. Having said that, David walks us through SAMHSA's three-part definition: the event, the experience, and the effects. It's not the event itself that defines trauma—it's the individual's response. He introduces "adverse conditioning experiences" as a behavior-analytic twist on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), spotlighting how negative associations get wired in through conditioning. From there, we contrast PTSD and complex PTSD. Same core symptoms (intrusive thoughts, avoidance, etc.), but complex PTSD adds prolonged exposure and three extra layers: impaired self-worth, rocky relationships, and emotional dysregulation. Gabi drives home a critical point: folks with developmental disabilities are at higher risk for trauma but often fly under the diagnostic radar. We need to get better at spotting trauma-related behaviors in this population. Screening, Brain Science, and Practical Strategies Screening is a big theme. We all agree behavior analysts aren't formally trained in assessment, but we have to be aware of how this is done. Gabi loves the Child Health and Development Institute's Child Trauma Screen (CTS), and the Massachusetts Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (Mass CANS) tool.  David then nerds out on the neurobiology: trauma affects the amygdala (hypervigilance), hippocampus (memory glitches), hypothalamus (stress gone haywire), and frontal lobe (decision-making on the fritz). Enter the "amygdala hijack"—when fear short-circuits rational thought. Bottom line? Kids in fight-or-flight aren't in a teachable moment. Safety and calm have to come first. We close the show with actionable takeaways: risk-benefit analyses for every intervention (especially with histories of food neglect), "kind extinction" (empathy + withholding reinforcers), and the six pillars of trauma-informed care (safety, trustworthiness, peer support, collaboration, empowerment, cultural competence). TIC isn't a "hyphenated" ABA—it's the whole framework. Advice for new BCBAs? Seek trauma training, question "business as usual," and be the stable adult in a kid's chaotic world. TIC is an approach that recognizes the possibility that many people may have a history of trauma exposure, and how this past or ongoing trauma such as abuse, neglect or food insecurity can shape a person's relationship with food, body and health behaviors. Data show that 64% of adults in the U.S. reported they had experienced at least one type of adverse childhood experience (ACE) before age 18 and nearly one in six adults reported they had experienced four or more types of ACEs. Compared to women with 0 ACEs, women with 4+ ACEs are 62% more likely to have obesity, 41% more likely to report a hypertension diagnosis, and 36% more likely to report a diabetes diagnosis. BEST OF TST: Three key details inform us that the recent, 2017 and onward, reporting on the UFO/UAP is nothing but a rewriting of the historical narrative using archaic psychological military-intelligence scripts. One, that AATIP spent only $22 million on research between 2012 and 2017, which pales in comparison with government waste, especially for a subject so critical for air safety and national security. Two, the curated cases investigated by the ODNI and DOD-AARO ignore countless credible global reports about the same. Three, the nature of the reporting and investigation are methods of “education” and “debunking” as laid out by the intelligence and military communities back in a 1953 Report called Robertson Panel. Compare that report with statements from the ODNI today:“That the evidence presented on Unidentified Flying Objects shows no indication that these phenomena constitute a direct physical threat to national security...”The ODNI reports says, “UAP continue to represent a hazard to flight safety and pose a possible adversary collection threat,” a standard policy for what cannot be identified; but the conclusion that these are only “potential risks” indicates that the risks “it poses as both a safety of flight hazard and potential adversarial activity,” are only potential. There is no actual threat. “We suggest that these aims may be achieved by an integrated program designed to reassure the public of the total lack of evidence of Inimical forces behind the phenomenon, to train personnel to recognize and reject false indications quickly and effectively, and to strengthen regular channels for the evaluation of and prompt reaction to true indications of hostile measures.”The ODNI report says, “AARO has been established as the DoD focal point for UAP... AARO is the single focal point for all DoD UAP efforts, leading a whole-of-government approach to coordinate UAP collection, reporting, and analysis efforts.” In other words, the ODNI statement is a public relations campaign equivalent to the quote above.“That the national security agencies take immediate steps to strip the Unidentified Flying Objects of the special status they have been given and the aura of mystery they have unfortunately acquired…”This is precisely the goal of AARO and the reclassification of UFO to UAP, which relates to the next line from the 1953 report: “The Panel's concept of a broad educational program integrating efforts of all concerned agencies was that it should have two major aims: training and ‘debunking'.”It says that the, “basis of such education would be actual case histories which had been puzzling at first but later explained... Recent cases are probably much more susceptible to explanation than older ones; first, because of ATIC's experience and, secondly, their knowledge of most plausible explanations.”And this is why the Tic Tac has been so popular; the story is old enough to remain distant from proper investigation, but new enough to provoke interest. With the declaration by Ross Coulthart that the object is Lockheed Martin technology, the UAP movement has fulfilled the 1953 agenda. A recent case with a history, at first seen as puzzling but then later explained. The 1953 report further suggested employing psychologists, including Dr. Hadley Cantril, who wrote the study of the panic that followed the Orson Welles WOW broadcast in 1938, a story that took place in the area where the recent New Jersey drone sightings also occurred. When the Pentagon's UFO Mythology script was leaked in 2025, coupled with the AARO discovery that the USAF gave fake classified material to commanders, it became clear that all the congressional investigations were nothing short of a ruse. The discrediting of the whistleblowers did not so much discredit them as it did the role they served. The 2025 Pentagon UAP report reinforced these revelations. The narrative circle is complete.
