Back to Oz for the 3rd Instalment of the BPM sessions and first podcast of 2012. Introducing Perth based duo, Valle Zoo. Formed at the start of 2011 by Underground Enthusiasts Nathan Francis and Mitchell Smith. Individually the pair had success under their own names with Nathan being named the city's best Tech House DJ for 2010 and Mitchell Smith winning the coveted Habitat DJ competition. The pair looked to develop their love for the Tech House and Deep House genres by bridging the gap between Deep Tech, Tech-House & Techno. They decided to combine their talents and begin work on Valle Zoo, starting in early March of 2011. Since then, Valle Zoo and their sound has evolved, being signed by European label 'Smiley Fingers' with their EP 'Way Down' and local label 'Obsactles Recordings'. A few sets stand out from time to time. Whether it be one from an artist that you love to listen to, or be it one from a Dj you have never heard. If you hail from Australia, the name Isaac SMILE may not ring a bell to you. If you hail from London you would be well aware of him. This BPM session is exclusively mixed by one of the founders of the Inernational clubbing brand MICRON. Say no more.. Or just say that you have been to a Micron party and totally understand what a good night is all about. The mix takes us on a journey through the whole spectrum of underground, to say the least. Throughout the hour you will be entertained with a perfect low end groove, plenty of vocals and rolling basslines. When I asked Isaac how to describe his sound he replied "My sound is a fuse of my Hard North Wales techno days, Manchesters acid/tech house days spent clubbing in Sankeys at Tribal Sessions and the more recent East Londons disco explosions. Well... There you go. So sit back, turn the lights down and close your eyes, your about to listen to Isaac Smile's take on things..Enjoy!
