What does trauma look like? It can manifest itself in many ways. It looks differently in children and in adults. Learn how to recognize someone, including yourself, who may be suffering from the impacts of being exposed to chronic and toxic stressors and trauma. If you know what it looks like, you can stop it and get the right help.
Too often we minimize and dismiss the negative and lasting impact trauma can have on us and others we love. The ACE study gives us insight on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and how we have underestimated the the long-term negative impacts.
